Dishonest Management
Has anyone heard of Double Deposit? We made our application paid the fee were told there was no other applications on the home we chose, when I called to find out the status, the manager told me we were approved but that she gave our home to someone else. I was a little upset and she offered another home I declined the offer and she said we can get our application fee back. She also said she'd call back and see what she could do. She called back the next day and said she took care of it and we were getting the home we wanted and we would be great residents. I asked her if she was sure because we were moving the end of the month and had to have a sure thing set in place. She assured me that everything was great and they would start fixing it up Monday. Well Monday came and she called saying they required 2 deposits, we asked why and she said they do that sometimes and she wouldn't even be able to afford that herself and she would see what she could do. She stated that corporate in Houston wanted it that way. So pretty much she wasted about 3 weeks of our time where we could have been looking for a quality home elsewhere where people are actually Professional. She never mentioned any of this double deposit nonsense in our initial meeting and didn't even have time to show us any homes, she just gave us some keys and we had to search ourselves. What a waste of time. We are a military/law enforcement family looking to downsize our home due to our grown children leaving for the military and this is what we encountered. I am a good judge of people and I kept feeling something about her but I shrugged it off as being an occupational habit, but I was right. Very Unprofessional and completely Dishonest.Someone needs to look into that, there's some very shady business going on there. I would think having law enforcement living on property would help out with crime prevention but this lady saw it as a money making opportunity.
