VIOLATE THEIR COMPANY CORE VALUES DAILY

I was injured @ work on 11/4/2016. They contacted Sedgwick reported the accident & Sedgwick sent me to concentra. I went to concentra, I told the Dr that a couple crates of milk had tipped over on me while I was moving a stack. He told me that my bicep tendon had been ruptured, he referred me to a concentra specialist. The specialist had me get a MRI, the follow up he recommended surgery to reattach the bicep tendon. He scheduled the surgery for the following Wednesday or Saturday, as soon as it was approved by Sedgwick.
The following Wednesday, my claims adjuster, Michelle newton, called me & said that I had to go to 1 of their doctors & she would find 1 closer to my home & get back to me. They sent me to concentra, the surgeon was a concentra doctor.
A week later I received a message from Michelle stating that she reviewed the video from the accident & she saw a crate hit me in the face, but couldn't see it hit my arm. She said she would send me to an IME & to call her back so we could set it up. That was the last time I heard from her. I left her a dozen messages, sent faxes, not 1 response. She denied my claim & I was fired because this happened during my 90 day probation period.
I appealed, got an attorney, had my surgery in mid January. Because over 2 months had passed, my bicep tendon only stretched 1/3 of the way to my elbow, the Dr used an Achilles tendon from a cadaver to connect my bicep to my elbow. Now I have a scar like 14 inches long on the inside of my right arm. If they had taken care of it right away I would have had a 1 inch scar on the inside of my elbow and outside.
Michelle finally sent me to the IME in March. When the IME sent his report to michelle confirming my injury happened at work, suddenly she wanted to reach a settlement.
A settlement was reached & put together by Sedgwicks attorney stating: upon the finality of an award approving this agreement the carrier agrees to pay the applicant, in care of his attorney, the amount agreed upon. This is so my attorney can pay off my medical lien, which Sedgwick demanded come out of my settlement, my attorney get her fees and she would mail me my part.
I received a FedEx envelope, sedgwick sent me the entire settlement check in my name. They violated their own settlement that was signed off on by a judge. Now I have to drive 58 miles round trip to go to my lawyers office, sign the check over to her and she will pay me & the 1st recovery group.
Sedgwick states their core values are tied together w/the belief that delivering exceptional customer service everyday is an essential part of their success whether providing that service to clients, claimants or each other.
Any company that treats people the way they do and violates their own core values has no integrity. Yet the bbb has them as a+ rating. The 4 reviews on the bbb site are all negative reviews, just like all the ones on this site. I guess all the money Sedgwick saves on denying claims, the bbb must get its slice of the pie.
Sedgwick is pathetic & any company that does business with them are guilty by association.
My next step is to file a report on the Kroger secure.ethicspoints web site. Kroger is violating their core values by having Sedgwick as their insurance carrier.

Benefits denied

On 11/15/16 I fell carrying ice and milk into my home. I hit my head so hard I lost consciousness for awhile. I hurt my left ankle and right knee. My head but the ground twice. Once in the top and it bounced and I hit again on the right front. When I lost consciousness, I saw white before I was knocked out. Per my Drs. the white was due to my brain hitting the bones of my skull. I went to ER, notified my supervisor and was out on STD due to a severe concussion and TBI. I don't remember thanksgiving or Christmas of 2016. I couldn't talk right and had a horrendous headache for 6 weeks. Dealing with Sedgwick was nightmare!!! Every time I was due a paycheck it was always something they needed. My Drs has me out from 12/06/16-05/31/16. I had to return to work because Sedgwick nurses reviewed my case notes from my neurologist, pcp, ent, knew surgeon, and a cardiologist and denied and closed my claim!! I am currently in appeals process. How can a nurse overuse doctors!!? I hate them! I haven't been paid since 02/16/17. I returned to work on 3/20/17 on a modified schedule of 4 hours. I don't even know if I can do that. I have short term memory loss. Sedgwick is supposed to pay me the other 20 hours for the next 6 months. I don't know what to do?
