Be aware of this company, they are evil. They pretend to help you, but it seems their main priority is to deny claims. I had a Short Time Disability since Dic 2017 for panic attacks, deep depression and anxiety . My company worked with Metlife (way better company)before, but starting Jun 2018 they got Sedgwick (huge mistake). Metlife approved my disability until May 2018, but based on my doctor’s diagnosis I should resume in Jul 2018. I requested an extension for my disability and Sedgwick denied it. I appealed my claim. So, Sedgwick required me to see a new doctor and submit new medical records which I did. During my doctors visit I was asked if I use alcohol or drugs. Mu honest reaponse was that I drink occasionally on weekends and not daily, and that I tried a few times in the past medical marijuana to decrease panic attacks. Now, Sedgwick sent an incomplete report with erroneous and misrepresented notes to my employer and myself saying that I am a drug abuser. This kind of accusation is unthical and a serious matter to my image. I have a clean record for drug or alchol use. Never been arrested or detained for this matter. Additionally, they did not include a medicine treatment I am taking to combat my mental illness. It is heartbroken to read a report with false accusations of you, just for the heck of denying a claim. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. By the way I am back to work under a medical treatment, but this company is focusing my case in unrelated aspects to deny my rights. Shame on Sedgwick!
