We purchased laminate floored from Menards, Inc in February 2012. We noted that in by January 2015, the flooring was not wearing as the product was advertised. We experienced multiple areas where the flooring was bubbling and there was fading of the flooring where an office chair was used on the floor (this chair did have plastic wheels as specified on the warranty). We also have several areas where the flooring is buckling somewhat making corners raise and wear unevenly. I contacted Menards who then said that this was an issue that I would have to contact Shaw Industries for. As with others that have had this same problem, they send out a 'certified' installer to look at the floors. He asked me no questions but looked around at the floor.

We were told that the bubbling was due to 'water damage'. We have never had 'water damage' on any of our floor. We have had normal wear n tear of the flooring including minor spills which were immediately wiped up. We were also told that we 'did not use spacers'. As can be seen from the receipt, we purchased a 'floating floor installation kit' which includes spacers which we DID use.

Neither Menards, Inc or Shaw Industries were willing to stand up to their product and we are out over $3000 for our flooring that should last much longer than three years. I would include photos but they do not sufficiently show the flooring. More information can be submitted if requested.
