Summer of 2013 Flooring America Of Pinehurst 585 HWY 5 Pinehurst, NC. 28374 installed 1146.46 SF of the above laminate flooring in 141 Illinois Pine. Close to finishing one of the helpers was applying a clear substance to the joints=I told him to stop because it looked like it was drying with a haze and I didn't want that all over my house. The lead man did not say anything. When we started to see bubbling at the joints and sides of each plank we checked with the business we had bought it from. They said oh there is nothing wrong with it you must be using too much water to clean with. Absolutely NOT I on I only mop it with a slightly damp mop! Well we were not happy with that response so I checked the internet and then became aware of the defective nature that was widespread all over the nation. It was in 2015 that we had made this inquirey. I saw then that there had been a class action suit for this very same product but the claim was closed. I now think that what that helper was applying was some sort of glue or such that they had been told to do to try and hide the known defects. We paid$10483.56 cash to have a floor that would need to be replaced before we could sell our house. I am livid and am trying to find if there is any ongoing clash action suits now. Thank you
