I was looking at clearance items and noticed a Olaf snow cone machine that stated Original price 49.99 on clearance for 19.99. I thought that was a good savings so I purchased it. When I got back home I checked out numerous stores and the most expensive price I could find was 34.99, that's far cry from 49.99. This false advertising on price tag is very dishonest.........

I bought my son 2 pair of your Baily's Point Black Label jeans. My son is 16 so he is not hard on his clothes. Within 5 weeks one of the zippers lost several teeth, so I took them back to Shopko and they let me exchange them, no problem. So now we are 4 weeks into having the new jeans and the zipper is broken!! I am not sure what to do now. I have no receipt now, so what am I to do. This is getting a little rediculous.

At age 78, I've done a lot shopping over the years at many different store chains since I've lived in several different parts of the states. Without a doubt, Shopko is the very worst place to shop. Their employees don't help you, they feel like they are being imposed upon when you try and get them to help you in finding things, or getting more info. on what your buying. They always seem rather cold, and unconcerned. I really don't like the store chain because they are just trying to rip you off. The employees are one part of the problem, but that is traced back to management. And the management is horrible at Shopko.
The real problem is how they like to rip you off by not having the products they are advertising to the general public. I have had this happen to me several times over the fourteen years I've been living here in Idaho Falls. The market here is about 100,000 people, and they must send out ten or twenty thousand sale magazines of about 60 pages of slick glossy paper or more when they are advertising a sale. On the cover and on page two, they always have a lot of great goodies on sale at really great prices to bring people into the stores. The problem is, they don't have any inventory of the products they are advertising at great prices. When I went there the other day, they were out of the three products I was going to buy from the electronics dept I found it hard to believe they were out of all of them on the second day of the sale. I asked the young woman how many of each of the items they had in inventory for the sale. She replied with pride, there were 4 of one item, 6 of another item, and about a dozen of another item. I don't think that's being very honest in advertising when you have such a unreal low inventory of items you have advertised on page one and two of your sale magazine. If that's all you have in inventory, they shouldn't even be advertised. This type of operation and poor attitude of management seems to be against the unfair practices business act.
I spent a half hour getting there and that coming back home again. Since I've had a double knee replacement, I've had to use canes to get around, not easily either. To waste all that time, energy and gas, for what? They don't give a dam about you or me, they are just trying to fill their pockets by lying to us in their advertising, and it's not misleading advertising, it's outright lies! They don't bring stock in for the sales on these items, they are advertised to get you to come into the store and buy something more expensive and other things you really didn't come there for. What a sad story about our corporate management today. Thank God all the other chains don't operate in this manner. And what really gets me, they don't offer rain checks or a similar product for the same price. That just shows how dishonest they really are and how they operate unlike any other retail outlet.

Not just me, but every one of you who reads this should stop shopping at Shopko. Tell them how unsatisfied you are about their unfair business practices and lying to us about what they have on sale, but have no real inventory. The federal government should go after them since they intend to keep doing it like they have for such a long time. I'd be willing to travel to Washington DC for this one. The only way we can really hurt them is to never walk through their doors again. It's amazing to see how many people have written negative things about Shopko, yet they don't seem to care and have made no comments about trying to improve. That in its self tells how bad they really are.
