I bought one of these lanterns from PCH thinking it would be great to use as a night light in the bathroom. The paper work says it will last up to 8 hours but after several uses it never lasted any longer that 3 1/2 hours before it was dim enough that it was not worth having it on. I put my regular rechargeable batteries in it to see if it would last any longer but it was only by about a half an hour more, I put Duracell alkaline batt's in it and it only lasted 5 hours. I called PCH and told them about it and they sent me a new one, it works exactly the same way. They do not last as long as they say they do and will not work for me as a night light, Only good as a kids toy or for short power outages.
