Store Manager Steals Money from Customers
On Weds August 16, 2017 Myself and 3 other family members were very excited to stop at a Sonic (1st time at this location) 1960 Suburban Avenue, Saint Paul · (651) 379-9898 its pouring down rain as we pulled up to order by drive thru: I'm continuously speaking saying "hello" "hello" we sat there for at least 8 minutes and no response, we see other cars parked to order so I decided to simply pull up to the window to see if this location possibly was closed early, my husband wanted to leave at this time due to the wait but our daughters really were craving Sonic so the young man opens the window calmly and I said are you open and he said yes and I explained how long we sat waiting to order and he responded by saying they were short staffed only 3 people working and he took his headset off and that is why no employee could hear the cars pulling into the drive thru then he apologized, I responded by putting in our order and asking about the drink specials he tells us the slushy and shake drinks are half off so I asked him if he could upgrade the soda drinks to slushy since they are half off and I also wanted to make sure they were complimentary upgrade not only for that reason but also for the long wait he said there would not be a charge to have slushy drinks instead of soda and he also asked his manager and it was again confirmed that there would not be an extra charge I pay for my food the bill seemed high $29 and some change for 2 meals, small onion ring and a medium shake that should have also been 50% off so I seen on the receipt the meals were correctly rang up and then it showed 2 charges totaling over $3.00 in extra upgrade charges on the slushy(s) and a $6.00 charge on this shake I tell the young man and he understands the mistake and says he cant do anything until his missing in action manager appeared again after about 9 minutes remind you we still have not received any drinks or food so the angry faced manager comes to the window and says rudely so you want each order bagged separately? I said yes, he starts to hand me a bag and I said are you going to correct the over charges on our food and he pulls my food back from me and says no and tells me I been asking for free stuff since I pulled into his establishment and he was so rude I asked him for our food because honestly more than 20 minutes have now passed and he refused to give me my food order saying I did not pay.. I did start yelling at this point because I paid and over paid and my family was hungry and our food had to be cold and this man who when I asked for him to write his name down on my receipt that he refused to give to me said he was the store owner and began to tell me how I must be having a bad day and then intentionally took his sweet time getting our food order I yelled at him to give me the food I paid for and he says he hit the police call button and continued to take his time. My husband threw his food away not trusting to eat it and my daughters were traumatized. It was a nightmare experience and why? I would like a call back at (763) 334-8732 or by email please.
