Equine Assisted Therapy

I am the owner of Heart N Soul Equine Assisted Therapy. We are a local non-profit animal rescue that provides Equine Assisted Growth and Learning to people of all ages. We provided services for 2 1/2 years to the clients at Sovereign Health. We had to cease or services on May 31, 2018 due to non payment of our services since February 2018, to the tune of over $16,000. Dr. Sharma should be ashamed of himself. He put himself before the needs of others for no other reason than greed. No communication. No excuses. No shame. Just selfishness!

My main concern is for all the kids that need help. What about them? How could you do this to them? Do you have no morals? No ethics? Can you just once put the need of others before yourself?

Ethics

This is the most unethical organization in existence. They pay for patients insurance only so that they can bill large amounts for " treatment" which I say lightly. They use licenses of staff who are no longer with them to stay open and they have no paid staff for a long time. You can not reach anyone at their corporate offices as no one is answering the phones and the mailbox is full. Even when you call what you think is a local office in California or Fort Myers - it goes to the same message and no response. None of us can believe that nothing has been done in the many years that Sovereign has been in existence. It is time - shut them down!

no pay for their employees

Sovereign health has not paid there employees for 5-6 weeks. They send out random updates and lead employees on to hang in there and its a "clinch in a new payroll system" really, how do other employers change payroll systems without pay delay. Maybe don't have your staff in india do work that should be done here in the USA. They have patients and limited staff due to everyone quitting. How about admitting that the funds have been seized " rouge bill collectors" that's was the last excuse. PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES, YOU ARE DISGRACEFUL.

Sauvern health

This place is a complete scam. The psychiatrist would perscribe me things with out my consent, the put me on detox meds with out even drug testing me, classes offered never happened, i never got assigned a case manager, only met with my therapist one time in a month. Told them i was concerned for my safety and they did nothing. Support staff was rude and un professional, i saw the dr. Lilke 2xs a week for no reason, except to bill me i assume. They never got me stuff for my special needs diet, only took us to one outside meeting. I ended up running the groups because the therapists didnt have a clue how to run um, people were getting high in detox and no action was taken to correct it. I am interested in a law suit and fear for other peoples safety that are sent here. My name is Wylie

Soverign Healt Palm Springs

As a patient of Soverign Health, Dr. Ball sent all of us to a medical lab for blood testing, several at a time, I was billed $1,534.81 from Quest Diagnostics Incorporated for the services, none of us were told this was a separate bill fro treatment, after Dr. Ball got the results, I had several things that were elevated, nothing was done about it, Dr. Ball never prescribed be any medication, she told me I would not be there long, and see my family doctor when I got back home. I was understanding this lab was a part of my treatment. I really believe the lab and Soverign Health are tied together. What a scam, please let everyone know about my situation. Call me if necessary at 704 523-9222.

Thanks

sovereign health of california, tonmoy sharma fraud

The FBI conducted raids June 13th on Sovereign Health behavioral health treatment centers in California and the San Clemente home of its CEO Dr. Tonmoy Sharma, whose U.K. medical license was revoked for serious professional misconduct.

I have met three families whose teenage and one young Millenial died whle in the custody and care of Sovereign Health Group under mysterious circumstances and Sovereign does nothing to help law enforcement solve any of these crimes so they're complicit criminals. They are indeed an Indian Crime Syndicate under the U.S. RICO Racketeering Crime Statute. 18 U.S. Code Chapter 96 - RACKETEER INFLUENCED AND CORRUPT ORGANIZATIONS et seq.

Read the following links and don't take yourself or your loved one(s) to Sovereign Health Group in any state.

From the Orange County CA Register -- http://www.ocregister.com/2017/06/13/federal-agents-searching-sovereign-health-in-san-clemente/ - Article Below.

Sovereign Health Group San Clemente – A British doctor who was stripped of his medical license for conducting unethical drug trials on mentally ill patients is now running an unlicensed San Clemente drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility that focuses on the mentally ill.

The state Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs has begun to investigate the facility, Sovereign Health of California, over its lack of license to run a residential treatment program and is reviewing two other complaints about how the facility is run.

Sovereign officials deny any wrongdoing and say a state official told them they did not need a license.

In 2008, the British agency that licenses doctors struck Tonmoy Sharma off the medical register for lying about his academic qualifications and conducting unethical drug studies. About a year later, he became the chief executive officer of Sovereign Health.

This case was considered by a Fitness to Practise Panel which applied the General
Medical Council’s Preliminary Proceedings Committee and Professional Conduct
Committee (Procedure) Rules 1988

Sovereign Health

Led by conviced felon, Tonroy Sharma, stripped of his medical license for running drug trials on patients without their knowledge or permission, just uses his chronies hands to do his dirty work now, running a sham recovery center. Patients are routinely yelled at, prohibited from holding their personal property or from leaving, forced to have "therapy" with abusive family members, and are "treated" by unsupervised students outdoors under picnic tables. If you love someone keep them away from Sovereign. They will get worse.

Sovereign Health is a scam

We were made many promises to help our daughter and this turned out to be a horrible facility lacking many skills. Ammenities were promised of swimming pools, equine therapy, and yoga. We were even told airfare would be covered and frequent contact and communication with our daughter. All lies.
The staff is not equipped to handle addiction and after treatment ended, we are still getting hit with fraudulent medical bills that our Blue Cross & Blue Shield refuses to pay for because of the outlandish amounts Sovereign is trying to charge : $1200 urine analysis daily, $900 office visits for therapy ALL IRONICALLY OUT OF NETWORK.
Do not go here or send a loved one here. It is a fraudulent treatment center. Just Google and look at all the bad news articles, etc. Horrible experience for my daughter.

abuses by treatment consultants

Thank you kindly for reaching out to me. Actually my brother-in-law William Alexander works for your company. He was recently released fron prison and is a Treatment Consultant. This individual has been stalking and harassing me, has violated my privacy by video and audio taping me without my consent to extort money and housing from my family. Specifically he has schemed, drugged and abused me for financial gain. In addition Mr. Alexander has forcibly injected me by means of crimnal food-tampering with an auditory ekectronically derived hearing aid which he has then summarily decided to ruin my life thereby not allowing my to sleep by constantly using this device in order to threaten me with death. He is a dangerous criminal of whm in which has commiitted so many unethical civil liberties violations that I shudder to think of what other crimes hemay be capable of while violating my civil rights and liberties.
This conduct is also a violation of the Federal Code of Ethics required to be held by all pyschiatrics and treatment centers of America. I will be reporting these violaTIONS TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES AND BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

Currently living at 14351 Mirando Court in the city of Poway. My attorney would like to know if he is authorized to perform drug treatment or execute psychological terrorism on behalf of or bythe means utilized by Sovreign Health, because he has been hired and is using your company as a front to violate my privacy, civil rights and liberties.
Furthermore, as a recently released felon who is making terrorist threats, I would like to know if your company does background checks, because Mr. Alexander a well-known gang-member has often referred to his friends and other associates as being able and ready to commit murder, and bodily harm.

Additionaly as I have personally seen Mr. Alexander be inibriated daily and constantly smoking marijuana, I would like to know if your company has an ethics policy to speak of as a treatnent consultant, on felony probation, and currently facing criminal harssment charges is your average treatment consultant?

This felon drugged, threatened, illegally photographed and made public videos of me in various stages of underr for money. In addition he attempted toconduct medical expiramentation using the Sovreign Health monicer in order to feloniously usecognitive distortion, electronically derived methodolgies, implantation of RFID via poisoning in order to diagnose and attempt to treat "suspected drug addiction" while on drugs in an unethical, illegal, and extremely harmful manner.

Unethical, Emotional Abuse of Patients

From Tonroy Sharma, twice convicted felon for conducting drug trials on patients without their knowledge or consent, is the CEO of this money-grubbing gossip-mill where everything EXCEPT quality patient care is important. This is a perfect example of "trickle-down" ethics, where the sleaziest criminal runs the organization and all below him follow his lead. He was twice stripped of his medical license, and forbidden from using the salutation "Dr.," which he does anyway. He rakes in millions while patients live in shacks and eat prison food. The patients receive care under outdoor picnic tables by high-school graduates or master's level clinicians - Not even licensed professionals for $30,000 a month! In EVERY internal memo I see there are ONLY concerns for INCOME and bilking insurance. Notes are FRAUDENTLY WRITTEN to steal from insurance companies. MR Sharma has several hundred employees in India making even more money for him but strangely there are no patients nor a treatment facility in India! Notes are falsified by local personnel as well as strangers from India who sign the names of interns that have never even seen the patient. This place is so BLATANTLY unethical, illegal and just plain disgusting it is amazing to me that it continues to exist. The corporate "culture" is one of gossip and fear. "Clinical" decisions are based completely on how much money they can get, having NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with quality care or patient needs. Just look up Tonroy Sharma - The man who once told an intern who raised ethical concerns that if she didn't like the heat she should "get out of the kitchen." This man is a complelte sham with no conscience, no remorse, and not even awareness of the horror of his crimes. It is NOT easy to lose a medical license, and yet he continues to practice - "indirectly" treating patients and directing a web of lies and deceit and abuse of both patients and employees. This will be escalated to the FTC and other agencies. Convicted criminals, doctors with licenses stripped, should not be allowed to practice, to have any effect on patient care whatsoever or to rake in millions when a few AA meetings would accomplish the same or better. This abuse will stop, as well as from his corrupt and compliant kiss-ass little staff - More concerned with admissions than with helping.

PERSONAL PROPERTY

I had all my personal property stolen from me by staff at sovereign, supposedly they just cant find it funny how they found all my clothes, but anything of value disappeared, my feeling is that they are no different then if someone else that kept your personal property and you had to file a police report in order to take them to court. In the beginning they acted as if they were concerned and would do all they could, now I am under the impression that they think I will forget and let the matter go, which is not going to happen. If you or a loved one had this type of experience please post and make it vocal so that they know this is not okay and they will be held accountable.

False information /scandalous sales techniques

If anyone getting admitted to Sovereign Health has noticed to which most will not, there are over 21 pages of documents basically allowing everything from coverage of unpaid bills to be charged to your credit to the signing of all rights to contest and or forfeit your ability to pursue any lawsuit or contest any brought up against sovereign health, wither or not these are legal can only cause stress to the signed. However my best guess they are not, nevertheless the old saying. Read before signing holds true because of these types of people who keep million dollar retainer lawyers on call

Sovereign health Palm Springs

I understand that rehab is a huge money making business and Leonard from sovereign was very quick to explain this to me. I made a huge mistake choosing this facility when I was an alcoholic dealing with serious depression. When I arrived in Palm Springs I first went to the detox house "Cantera" which was extremely nice. After eight days of detox I was moved to the Bates motel "Vista Chino". I refer to this house as the Bates motel because it was exactly that, minus a knife yielding psychopath. My fist day in vista chino I received no meds . My MAR was blank when I went to receive my medications.I was prescribed these meds for years and arrived at this facility with them. The staff denied me these meds that morning and it took serious threatening to get the problem resolved. The highly unqualified staff said it was a clarical error and they screwed up my MAR on accident. Most of the people in charge of the medications were not even qualified to handle ibuprofen. Extremely unprofessional and unqualified!! I initially was sold on sovereign because of the services they promised. There was lots of talk and no follow through. I was billed $2400 every two days for a psychologist that I never got to see. These people never even took my intake paperwork. I still have it to this day. I was charged $1200 for a drug test 3 days a week. Even the most thorough lab test costs at most $300. I was charged $1200 daily for a therapist that I was lucky to see once a week. This place is a serious scam. If you need help do not choose this facility. I was seriously threatened by Leonard and I pray that I never see him again or anyone else from sovereign health!!

Very unorganized!

I have had many problems with a majority of the staff members due to lack of communication. Being a former client I can say many '"promises" were not followed through with. Leonard threated multiple clients for not attending groups due to being sick. He was very unproffesional and discourteous towards any individual with a conflict of interest. Dr. Simpson was an additional staff member who acted in a very unprofessional manner; overwhelmingly strict and overall unempathetic in regards to an individual's discomfort or grievances. In addition to the previous behaviors, Dr. Simpson came off as very predatorial and hostile towards us "clients". I understand that there is an effective way to communicate in an assertive manner, however, Cindy AND Leonard both come off as just mean. In my opinion, they shouldn't be held in such high regards and respect as they are within that facility. The staff should be mandated to participate in the same drug/alcohol testing as the clients wthin the facility.

I had the honor to have a high skilled therapist who helped guide me through the bullshit . I am extremely disappointed with the results of this so called "treatment".
Now that I'm home they did not pack my suidecase full of meds!!! I've been promised to get a call back, do I really have to go back!? LAWSUIT!!!
