CONSUMER COMPLAINT: The Consumer by Name H.P.Shankarachari, resident of Holenarasipura being the Member of Sri. Gowri Ganesha Chit fund has not received the chit amount namely the Prize money from the Manager of Gowri Ganesha Chit Fund Company at Channarayapatna.

I the above said being a member of the above said chit fund Channarayapatna branch, having the chit group No.G.G.N.[4] CRP 0-5, Installment No. 21, group chit No.14[a] wherein I have bid the chit for Rs.8,00,000/- the chit amount is of Rs.10,00,000/- I have paid the installments regularly to the above said chit. The auction took place on 15/3/2017. I am the successful bidder in the said auction. I have furnished the necessary surety to the above said branch, I have also given the blank cheques as a security for the bid amount that is to be paid by the above said chit company. Though the auction took place on 15/3/2017, hither to the company has not paid bid amount to me. Whenever I enquire the said chit company Manager, the manager went on promising me that he will make necessary arrangements to pay the bid amount to me. Further when I enquired the manager through phone the Manager of the said company gave me the evasive answer and he told me that I have paid the blank cheque to the company so that he will make use of the blank cheque so given by me. Though the fault is with the company the manager is harassing me and the other customers in one way or the other. Further the manager is prolonging and dodging in one way or the other in not making necessary payment to me and to the other customer. That I have paid the installment amount by taking the credit card facility, by doing so I have incurred huge loss as the banking authorities are debiting interest which I had from the Credit card.

The Manager is alleging that their head office is not making arrangements to pay the bid amount to the customers.

Hence the Manager of the chit fund branch office and the Managing director of the said chit fund are cheating their customers, and they are harassing the customers in one way or the other.

Hence I request the concerned authorities to take action against the above chit fund Manager and the Managing director and redress the grievance of the poor customers, who have auctioned the bids.

Hence I request the Registrar of chits, Hassan and as also the secretary of the finance department of Karnataka Government to investigate the allegations made against the Sri Gowri Ganesha Chit fund of Bangalore and branch office at Channarayapatna.

The Governor of Reserve Bank of India is requested to depute its officer to inspect the accounts and books maintained by the above said company, and initiate action against the above said Chit fund company and redress the grievance of the complainant as also that of other customers who have invested their amount to avail the chit amount. And suitable action be initiated to make payment namely the bid amount as stated supra.
