No complaints I hv a 10 yr old prescott xl. Stove , had issues for a few yrs on keep ing the glass clean. And flame burning poorly has got n realy bad this weekend . I clean evey Sunday that's my ritual .. Chimney every yr twice a year clean ing . so I looked up ideas on line . tryed the leaf blower trick . man oh man . u hv to try this . grass has been clean for two days . flame is running likecit was a new stove . love my stcroix again . all of replaced over the yrsssss is room fan blower . ingniter elment . awger motor once . not bad for 10 + yr old stove

Have a St Croix Pellet stove Prescott On any setting the flame blows toward the shoot of the pellets. I was told to clean the stove, I did the necessary cleanings. also did a full cleaning of the fans and is still doing the same thing. contacted dealer didn't ever hear of problem and don't have time to come look at stove...I've only ran 2 pallets threw stove and stove is Year old

St Croix pellet stove hopper fire this weekend!!!! Stove cleaned every two weeks. The fire backed up into the hopper and melted the plastic handle insert to open the hopper. House filled with smoke. Looks at though computer kept loading the firepot at such a fast rate that it couldnt keep up???? Fire burned back through the auger into the hopper!!!!!Wife was home at the time or house would have burned down before Christmas. I thought these were safe....now we are afraid to keep it lit at night or when we go to bed. Unit is only a few years old. Was hoping that a $4,000 unit would last a bit longer and not have the potential to burn your house down. I will be calling St Croix today -but from the looks of other posts - they don't stand behind their units - I will post again after calling St Croix to see what kind of Company they are from my experience.

I own a st croix pellet furnace it work fine for awhile ....but beware customer service sucks they try to blame as any problem on you .I add shut mine off to clean I went to the store to let it cool down. When I got back it kept feeding pellets ( it's not supposed to when off) backed up to the auger and caught the whole hopper on fire filled the whole house with smoke... could have burnt the house down...they said it was not cleaned right BULL I did exactly as the manual said. Had it looked at by the place I bought it from they changed the board,and said it was fine...low and behold a month later it did it again called them they blew me off so I wrote the BBB they blew me and the BBB OFF. DON'T BUY ST.CROIX OR EVEN TEMP PRODUCTS OF NEBRASKA. RUN AWAY FAST THEY SUCK.

I have the Lincoln model, paid about 2+K for it and the first year it worked fine, the second year it kept jamming up had to have it repaired and this year it hasn't worked at all - fire won't even start. The people I bought from are no where to be found. I want it out of my house so I can put in a fireplace. Anyone want to buy it?

Just turned my new st.croix pellet stove in,first bag or pellets,sounds like doors creaping.....wtf!!!!

I've had a Hastings model for several years. The only thing you can count on is zero customer service. My dealer went out of business (probably due to a lousy product); there is no one else around. The manufacturer is useless and arrogant to boot. They refuse to respond to the simplest of questions and mindlessly refer you back to nonexistent dealers.

The operator manual is sketchy. It would be satisfactory if the product were reliable but that's not the case. Basically, the St Croix line has impressive looking boat anchors and little else. Definitely not ready for prime time.
