Terrible Customer Service

We ordered two sets of blinds for a large windows in my two year olds room. The blinds arrives so we dismantled the older shutters. The blinds came and the pulls were reversed. We call in, report the problem, and are told that we will hear back from someone within a day. 10 days later, we get an email that tells us we must take the blinds down and ship them back to "a manufacturer" (no name given, that should be our first clue). Once they receive them and process them so that they can be "inspected to verify if the blind(s) were manufactured correctly". Really? Not inspected to verify if they were made incorrectly. The implication being that I am an idiot and can't tell that the blinds are supposed to open and close on the opposite side than they were manufactured to do.

Now enter the confusion. On their website you claim to have 100% customer satisfaction and that “Steve’s will immediately replace any merchandise that you received that is defective or damaged and will arrange for return of the original merchandise.”

The way that is written tells me that you will immediately replace the defective merchandise AND THEN arrange for a return. Replace, then return. What they are asking is the complete opposite of the stated policy.

To make matters worse, I cannot take the blinds down for a weeks while this is resolved simply because it is in my 2 year olds bedroom, on the front of the house. Besides the fact that any peeping tom can now look in her room, the sun during the day would prevent her from taking a nap and getting to sleep at night. Do you want anyone walking by your house to be able to look in to your childs room?

If we had know a simple issue of reversing the pulls would be this much hassle, we would have gone with someone with better customer service and more integrity in the product that is manufactured and sold.
