Misleading Ticket Claims Selling Tickets

I placed 4 tickets for sale on Stub Hub and inadvertently must have posted them the incorrect way as it regards uploading. Fair enough. But this is where Stub Hub lies to sellers about ticket postings. The web site told me I had uploaded my tickets and they were ready for sale. I sold all 4 tickets. I was never told they were invalid until Stub Hub told me my tickets couldn't be delivered until a few days before the event! Then they charged me for not only the tickets but for substitute tickets for the buyers! So basically Stub Hub never told me my tickets were invalid; the details about having to pay for the buyers tickets was in extremely fine print; and when they did tell me, I barely had time to resell them. I think Stub Hub should be responsible for letting sellers know the way the tickets have been delivered is invalid BEFORE selling them. Obviously it would be financially foolish to fight them individually but I would be happy to participate in a class action suit should anyone decide to pursue their malicious business practices.

StubHub

We purchased 4 tickets for a Blue Jays game in Toronto, two for friends and two for my wife and me. I mistakenly printed the same two tickets twice. Friends entered the park without difficulty, our tickets were naturally denied.

I called StubHub to explain. The customer service representative "helped" us get two other tickets (I assumed this would be at no further expense). Apparently, at no time, did their customer service people look at our order history and recognize that we had already purchased two other tickets that were not yet printed. Had this been done, we could have printed the other two tickets and we would have been set.

Instead StubHub refuses to acknowledge any deficiency in their customer service routine in this matter. They insist on charging us for the "replacement" tickets despite their inability to identify the simple fact that I already owned two valid tickets that were ready to print.

I had been a repeat customer of StubHub. It is hard for me to imagine using their service again. They obviously have less than ideal customer service.
