SCAMMED for selling tickets

I am surprised sellers have not filed a class action lawsuit against StubHub for the thousands of people they rip off!

Please think twice before you sell tickets with StubHub. My mother fell ill on the day of an event that she was attending and asked if I could help sell her tickets. I put her tickets up on my StubHub account and was given an option to mobile upload them. The instructions tell you to scan a copy of the entire ticket and then upload them directly on the site, which is what I did. The site said the tickets uploaded successfully. Within 30 minutes I received an e-mail that my tickets were sold. I called StubHub customer care directly to be sure that the tickets uploaded properly and were going to be valid for use.

I was told they would have to check and was kept on hold for over 30 minutes. The rep came Back and said that even though she saw my upload, the mobile upload option shouldn't have been available since the concert was day of (even though the site clearly gave me instructions and allowed me to upload the tickets). So I told the representative to cancel the transaction because I only have hard copies of the tickets. She said my transaction was cancelled and the buyer bought another set of tix. She informed me that I may receive a 40% charge for the cancelled transaction but I could still try to sell my tickets by going to will call and speaking with Stub Hub site services if they were still there. I told them I shouldn't be charged a fee because it was the websites error and I called within 5 minutes. After an hour on the phone with customer support, I was told that they couldn't do anything to help me and they would be charging me 40% of my list price for their mistake. I demanded a manager and was denied very rudely and then hung up on. I called back and spoke to a representative named Kathy who said she was communicating with a manager to get my problem resolved.

They proceeded to tell me that I never uploaded the tickets, which was false because I took screen shots. After 2 1/2 hours of being put on hold and rude representatives, I was finally told that the issue was resolved and given a service request number which was supposed to have all of the notes, stating that I wouldn't have to pay any fees and everything worked out.

Two days later, I received an email stating that I had to pay them $810 + $405 in fees because the buyer could not get into the venue. WHAT??!! I never sold the tickets. The transaction was cancelled!!! It turns out ROBHUB went back in and reactivated a cancelled order and sold to another buyer without my permission. I spoke to someone named Matt in Marketplace investigations who was very rude! Did nothing to try to help even though I gave him the service request number the previous two gave me saying everything was resolved. He even confirmed that he saw notes that I wasn't supposed to be charged, but said the other manager was wrong and I am going to be charged anyway. If this is not resolved I have two class action attorneys willing to take my case. Do not let them get away with these unetical tactics!!! DO NOT trust this company or service. They are deceitful, money hungry, and have terrible customer service! You will regret doing business with StubHub!

Employment Experience

I asked for information to connect me to someone in a leadership position for HR with either Ebay or StubHub but was flatly refused that information when I contacted StubHub. I've tried to find it on both Ebay's and StubHub's websites, and even called every phone number from CT to CA to no avail. I've interviewed for two different positions at StubHub - the only two I will ever apply for again, The first time I was scolded for being "overdressed" (I was wearing a suit as I would for any management position), but this last time was the strangest, most unprofessional, and nastiest experience I've ever had at an interview. The hiring manager began by telling me that she "was hoping I'd cancel the interview" because she'd just flown in from Chicago thenight before and she was really tired. She then proceeded to yawn, stare out the window, and even checked her text messages at one point. It was clear to me that she had already ruled me out as a candidate before we even began. I offered her a portfolio of my work and she said "what am I going to do with this?"...the whole thing was just unbelievable. I would add that I drove to the Granby location in weather so bad that they actually closed the highway I used to get there an hour after I arrived home. Because of this, I called ahead and gave her the option of rescheduling, which would have givenher a perfect out, but instead she made me drive all the way up there so she could humiliate me, apparently. I've told everyone I know about tese episodes, and will continue to in the hopes that they lose good, viable candidates to companies that actually behave in a decent, professional manner.

Cancelled Tickets

To Whom It May Concern,

Once again another terrible experience with Stub Hub!

On August 19, 2012, I ordered college football tickets from StubHub. The price for the tickets were extremely inexpensive. After purchasing the tickets, I took it upon myself to call StubHub to verify the authenticity/validity of the tickets the same night I purchased them. I spoke to a customer care specialist named "Hope". I explained my concerns to "Hope" who assured me the tickets were perfectly fine, and that she researched the seller, and confirmed that this seller sells alot of tickets on StubHub and it's quite frequent that they sell tickets well below face value. Once again "Hope" assured me that if there was a problem with the purchase of these tickets, StubHub would purchase replacement tickets at no additional cost to me, no matter what the tickets would cost, and they would be in a comparable seating area at the stadium.

On Sunday, August 26, 2012, I received a telephone call from a StubHub customer care specialist "Matt" who told me they were cancelling my recently purchased tickets, and would be refunding me my money. "Matt" went on to say that the seller accidentally priced the tickets at the wrong price, and that since there was such a large different in price from what I paid, compared to what the prices of tickets selling the the general area where I purchased the tickets, they could not replace them they would only refund me my money! I explained to "Matt" that I had already giving four of the tickets to friends, who reserved hotel rooms, and airline flights, and that if there was something that could be done at least for the four tickets that people had already made travel arrangements, "Matt" said No!

I then spoke to "Matt's" supervisor, who was "Scott". Scott basically said the same exact routine that was previously told to me by "Matt". It's quite obvious the Fan Fair Guarantee that StubHub promotes, only works for their "High Selling Customers, Who Spend Big Bucks With StubHub". I then asked "Scott" for his supervisor's name and he told me he was not allowed to reveal that information to me. I then asked "Scott" for the contact information for the administrative / corporate offices, and he told me he doesn't have that information.

So now I have four friends, who have purchased non-refundable airline tickets, and reserved hotel rooms at the Hard Rock Hotel in Fort Lauderdale for a weekend of college football, that just got cancelled.

StubHub has not done one thing to try to resolve this matter, or help recouping the expenses that have been spent after StubHub's employees assured me that the tickets were good, and that the Fan Fair guarantee would be in place to replace these tickets if something was to go wrong!

I would respectfully request replacement tickets located within the same seating area as the tickets I purchased or better. Your guarantee states that StubHub will purchased and replace the tickets no matter what the price difference is!
