I went to sun trust to open an account with my tax refund check in a few days they notified me my account is closed but they keep my check the don't' want to give me the check Im not costumer of sun trust why they keep my check.

They give you bad money orders

I signed up for an account at SunTrust 2 months ago, close to the house and free money orders. Well they give you money orders that are no GOOD, first time printed with the bottom numbers on the top of the check as the teller placed them in backwards. I have never had a late fee or a late payment. Now they are racking up with both, no returned calls, no help at the bank and I just called customer service and was hung up on. STAY AWAY, wish I would have read the online reviews first. Horrible bank customer service. If they have done this to you, let me know and we will start a class action lawsuit.

Cah Payments

I cannot understand why need to my show my ID when making my Mortgage payments. It seams like your forcing customers to do onine banking / trying to regulate how I pay my bills, Suntrust is taking the postion of the goverment wanting to know how we earn money and where is it comming from ? For what ever reason you can come up with, you forcing customers like me to change lending instutions. Remember your are a bank first.

Pop up that blocks my accounts, they can not be moved.Do not want them,

When I bring up my accounts I get a popup which blocks every thing and I cannot remove it ,please stop the pop up.

ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE

Mr. Brett A. Buxbaum, Winter Garden Suntrust branch manager; is totally (100%) incompetent. I closed all of my accounts (except my equity credit line) on December 27, 2016. On January 9, 2017; I closed my equity credit line. They told me that it would take 4-6 weeks to release my property lien due to the line of credit. Suntrust processing department (according to the W.G. branch) made a mistake and did not processed the electronic paperwork properly. Paperwork was re-submitted on March 6 with another 4-6 weeks wait. After I complained, they went ahead and expedited the request. Today (3/10/17) they told me that it was "out of their hands", and in the hands of the orange county comptroller, and that it should take no more than three (3) days to have the lien satisfied. I called the O.C. Comptroller and they proceeded to tell me that they have not received any request/paperwork to move with the satisfaction of the lien. Never deal with this Suntrust office! The persons working in that office are very professional and appear that they go out of the way to help the customers. But....... the branch manager is something else. He is hardly ever in his office, takes two hour lunches (per his co-workers), and is definitely not a nice person when it comes time for him to try to resolve problems that the persons under him cannot resolve. Stay away from this branch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got an ulcer due to this branch !!!

Bad Customer Service

(May 2015) The Suntrust Donelson Branch is very bad about not returning phone calls or answering emails with questions. I have banked with them a long time and for the last few months I will not deal with that Suntrust location again. I even left the Branch manager a message and my return contact number.. I never heard back. The personal banker claims he is so busy and will not return phone calls or emails. He said he was going to check on something for me concerning a debt consolidation question, he has yet to get back with me and it's been a month now. Also, I placed a check order and he forgot to put the request in. When I called him about it, he said I'll call you right back and never did. I called him two weeks later and he placed it but his excuse was there was an error in placing it the first time. (go figure) I had requested he put my residential address on the check...I get my checks back and they have my PO Box address on it...... He claims he's so busy with customers that he hardly has time to return calls. The times I've been in there...the bank lobby is empty...(go figure)
It's useless trying to deal with this bank... I'll choose another location who is More Customer Friendly.

On 11/22 I opened (or thought I was opening) a checking account with this bank through their website. I gave them the deposit information, and got a confirmation email that everything was set up, including my $100.00 deposit. On 11/28 I received my check card in the mail. I activated it, then proceeded to go to the website and access my account information. THERE IS NO RECORD OF MY DEPOSIT, and nobody at the customer service # seems to be able to find it. I have filed with the BBB but I am furious, so I am letting everyone know I possibly can to avoid them like the plague. I really hope someone can help me with this, because the money has to be there somewhere. I'm not working right now so 100.00 might as well be 1, 000, 000. I am so upset, I am to the point of crying, and when it gets to that point, look out.

A Nightmare

I went into Suntrust on December 29, 2011 to open a Checking Account. A Teller opened thee account and took my payroll check as my first deposit. The Teller was very attentive and very helpful at theat time. She explained to how to setup my online banking and also told me theat I would be able to see thee deposit online thee following day Friday December 30, 2011, but thee funds would not be available until Saturday morning December 31, 2011.

Here's where it gets interesting! Keep in mind I deposited my paycheck. When I received thee access code to setup my Online Banking on Friday morning, I was able to get into my account. However, thee balance was 0 and thee deposit I made thee night before withe my payroll check was not theere. A little puzzled... I contacted thee bank and spoke withe thee Teller theat opened my account and explained to her theat thee deposit from thee previous night was not reflected in my account. The Teller was not as attentive and helpful as she was thee night before. As a matter of fact, she rushed me off thee phone and told me theat I would not see thee deposit until Saturday morning, even theough she told me on Thursday theat I would see it on Friday. On Saturday morning I tried logging into my Online Banking and received error messages after trying to log in 5 times to no avail I contacted thee 1-800# for thee Online Banking Customer Service Dept and thee Customer Support person told me theat my account was closed on Friday because it did not pass thee verification process????? I was perplexed and dismayed because I was never told by thee teller theat such a process existed and you would theink theat sometheing like theat would come up while your opening thee account at thee Branch, not 2 days later. Not to mention I never received a phone call or email stating theat Suntrust had closed thee account for whatever reason.

Okay people... I'm now LIVID and BROKE on New Years Eve! I just wanted my paycheck back. So I went back to thee Branch to get my check back. However, Suntrust gave me thee finger once again. I was told theat theey COULD not release my paycheck or give me any of my money because thee "Department" theat release said funds was closed until Tuesday, January 2, 2012. I wonder if theey will give me back my paycheck withe interest.

It is now January 5the 2012 and I'm still waiting on Suntrust Bank to return my paycheck from 12/29/11. I received notheing... I know one theing for certain, thee 2 branches in Douglasville are in need of new management. The branch managers are incompetent.Their customer services skills are non-existing. The Arbor Place, Douglasville, Ga branch manager Andrea Woods is an absolute waste. My husband and I spent an hour in thee bank pleading withe thee Service Rep. For help withe our issue, to thee point theat I was in tears. She walked past us, stood next to us as she was discussing her holiday withe one of thee otheer workers. She could clearly hear everytheing we were saying to thee Service Rep., she didn't even acknowledge our situation. Never even offered to assist us in any way. In otheer words she completely ignored us! Oh yeah! To theis day... No letter, no phone call or an email from Suntrust telling me theat theey closed thee account.
