Two months ago, I found that battery had swollen so much that the keyboard and trackpad no longer work on my MacBookPro. I took it to my local Apple store and they confirmed the battery as defective which had swollen so much that it cracked the motherboard so that the keyboard and trackpad no longer work. The case is also visibly swollen on the top and bottom - to the point that it no longer rests on the 4 corner pads. Apple confirmed that only a defective battery will present as swollen - no matter how many cycles of recharges.
