Put a code 3 on my checking acct.
On Oct.1 and Oct 2, The local Walmart debited my acct. for a 45.00 chk. I had written to them. Once ETF and the other manually. When I received my back stmt. I saw the dbl debit for the same check and have copies of the same check, different transaction numbers for each debit. When my credit union investigated and gave me the $45.00 back to my acct., Telecheck put a 3/high risk code on my banking acct. saying that I still owed Walmart $45.00. My husband spent hours showing Walmart the documents and they say we don't owe them anything but that our bank is at fault. They are the one's who have to remove this hold on our acct. We can't cash checks anywhere in our little town now. In my 66 years, I have NEVER passed a bad check at any time!! This is so embarrassing to be stopped at each checkout and told we are high risk customers! How can I get Telecheck to remove this fraudulent code placed on us. I have called them 3 times and written them and sent the documentation to them on 12/7/18 and still I don't hear anything. This is making our lives as senior citizens miserable. Please tell me what to do. Thank you.
