I'm experiencing the late night cut off technique to earn money, the contractors suggested to change the fiber optic wire but I refused and the internet continues to go down around evening and comes back on in the morning or 12 in the afternoon, TM should really up their management and crack down on these crooks, this is not the proper way to provide a service, not with these scheming rats. Everytime I call in or online live chat at unifi website they always reply with technical team is looking into or investigating it, called over 30 times the past 2 weeks and that's all they say, very suspicious, and internet has yet to return to normal.

TMnet's employees milk money with cheap night time internet cut-off technique!

1 week ago, my internet connection start to cut-off around 8:00 pm ~ 9:00 am next day morning. This happen everyday, and the time vary each time for about 1 ~ 2 hours (which mean it can be cut-off around 6:00 pm ~ 10:00 pm, and it goes the same for the next morning) Now, this is where it get interesting, because there are ways to fix the connection, If the line is disconnected, dial 100 with the phone(the phone line which the internet is using) will fix it. However, the phone line is cut off together with the internet(to prevent me from reset it). But it only happened during non-business hour. During business hour, they can't cut off the phone line since so many people at the workstation. Which mean i can reset the internet connection during business hour even they try to disconnect it (in this case, there is no way for them to cut off my internet connection during business hour). This explained why my internet line only working during business hour and cut-off during non-business hour.


This is not the first time my line get sabotage. It does happened before. so how did i manage to fix my phone line without paying them? I wrote some articles and posted it all over the internet to teach them not to mess with me. And there it goes, my internet line fixed itself within a month. So now the thief has return for more.

In short, how did they milk the customer with this kind of trick? firstly, they look for heavy night time user, then they will cut off your line during non-business hour. when you report via the website, they send some buddy(which probably get some sort of commission for each cow they milk) visit your house and tell you that your phone line need another fresh wiring(my house has do this for 3 times in the past). They will tell customer they do the wiring via contract or some sort of bullshit and it got nothing to do with TMnet (which mean it is officially off the book). If reset the connection can fix the line, which mean my phone line is working fine and it prove that they are in fact lying. RM150 per cow to milk, 20% commission for buddy. it generate a whopping RM120k with only 1000 cows they milked. Since they don't want to get caught, they will likely minimize the total cows they try to milk to prevent excessive public attention.

In fact, TMnet send two of so call technicians to my house and without checking the wire conditions or at least do some test, told me that he confirm i need to do a new wiring for my phone/internet line which is RM150. He told me he do this out of contract and not with TMnet. That funny, TMnet send worker that aren't work for them? So they need to charge separately? They try to evade GST and tax or what? Should i contact IRB or what (someone will probably end up in jail). Then i try to trick him and ask: "Are you sure if you do the wiring, my line will have no more night time cut off issue?". Without thinking, he answer right away. "yes no more problem". So how can he be so sure? This guy think all people is stupid or what?

To sum it up, TMnet internet management system flaw causing this issue, some A.S.S.H.O.L.E abusing power for their own benefit. Do not pay them if you are a victim like me. Wrote complaint article and spread it across the internet will more likely to help rather than paying them continuously.

Very Very Poor Service!

I've visited TM Point Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara, Selangor on 3rd August 2010 between 1100-1330 to make changes for my land line & Streamyx account as I had move in to my own house in Shah Alam. I've been given and ID#: 296-043384-001 and being advise the action will be taken within 3-5 working days which if the contractor have any issue they will call my mobile. FYI, when I at the counter the staff already advise me that she could not locate my new address in the system and after giving me the ID# she advise contractor will be sent over to try find out my new address and advise it will be useful if I can get my neighbor land line number to faster the transfer process.. On 10th August 2010 the 6th working days waiting for the update which no one call me at all to update the status, I had call 100 at 12:26 and speak with Customer Service name Akmal which after he know I want to know my line transfer status he connected me to someone name Man. Man are able to check base on the ID# I have. He advises me he will log a complaint to advise contractor to take an urgent action and told me it will be within 3 working days. Man advises me to find out my neighbor number and call back 100 so that it can be process faster. But till today the 3rd working days, no one call me. Today 12th August 2010 at 9:00am I had call 100 again and speak with Customer Service name Umi as I want to update my neighbor contact number which I manage to get it this morning. She asks me a few verification questions but when I ask her to check base on the ID# I have, she told me she can't locate any. She advises me to go back to the TM Point to update my neighbor number and find out my transfer status as what she can check my line is still active at my old house address. She also told me even I can provide my neighbor number; there will be other problems which my new address line might be full already. So I'm very confused why on 10th August Man can check the details but not Umi??? Is TM were using so many systems??? Why it is not synchronize?? Why when I’m at the TM Point and 1st time to call 100, the staff at the counter and customer service at 100 lines never told me on what Umi had revealed to me? Why TM staff like to empty promises to customer?? Whatever the reason, I don't want to know the details. I just want my phone number to be transfer ASAP and someone to take this issue seriously. I had enough of waiting!! I feel it is not fair for me to wait half a month just to transfer my line and I still need to pay full at the end of the month even though I can’t fully utilize my line & Steamyx used due to your staff fault. I really-really one this COMPLAINT to be taken seriously as I can’t be patient anymore to wait. If TM can’t give me rebate to encounter this issue, I will not hesitate to bring this issue to press as well as respective government complaint board. To YOU who read this complaint, may I know is it fair to you if this were happened to yourself!? Last but not least, it is very-very disappointed your service is not tally with your tagline “Merintis Kemungkinan”. What kind of “Kemungkinan” you try to talk about if a simple thing to locate my new addresses which is actually an old area in Seksyen 36, Shah Alam. Even if google you can find it. Why can’t your customer service or your staff have an extra mile to outcome this issue?? If they could do some extra mile of services, then TM can say “Merintis Kemungkinan”. Otherwise please ERASE the tagline as it is really a shame when TM Management can’t ensure the staff to really follow the tagline as the Management Guidelines for Customer Satisfaction!

Very Very Poor Service!

Telecommunication provider is not providing a good service like before it was privatised. After privitisation it looks like they cant control their sub contractors. The sub contractors are mixing their genuine services provision with their personal business.
They are not carrying out the instruction given by telecom malaysia to look into breakdown and customer complain. Infact they are demanding money from complaining customers to carry out the jobs for their personal income. otherwise they delay and dont carry out the job with honesty to upkeep Telecoms Malaysia Good name as a service provider.
