Tooth sensitivity, grey discolouration & line on teeth at gumline
In 1977, seven years after medical facts supported the findings that the drug Tetracycline caused dental greying and lines on teeth at the gum line, I had it administered to me as a antibiotic.
Years I have suffered tooth sensitivity from the damage this drug has caused. Since I was only eight years of age when this drug was prescribed to me, my adult teeth had yet to erupt and the damage to my teeth is a decaying line on my molars at the gum line.
Since this drug the sensitivity and weakened enamel my regime for oral hygiene is substantial, but even with great dedication and awareness I have had over 14 cavities. Numerous root canals, crowns and extractions and financial expenditures to my dental care is substantial.
Why after being aware of the side effects this drug had was it not restricted or baned? Why are the ones affected by its side effects not covered or compensated?
