Switched to Hartford auto insurance because AARP recommended them and they started me off with a good rate.
I had not had an accident in 35 years, so they are paying AARP to cherry pick seniors with good driving records.
I had comprehensive insurance for my older Toyota with them and after a year I deleted collision coverage but they added it back without my ok. Well the joke was on them because I got into my first accident in 36 yrs.
Althought I fought them giving them plenty of "comparables" for my totaled car, they kept on offering me 40% of the comparables average value and Hartford with no valid reason would not accept the comparables values from local dealers for the exact same car. I then found out that 2 years previously they had hired a new CEO an accountant with no previous insurance experience Christoper Swift to improve profits. He is doing so with deceptive advertisement and taking advantage of their senior members..
The Hartford pays AARP for access to its members then proceeds to take advantage of AARP MEMBERS ANOTHER GREEDY
DECEPTIVE BIG COMPANY. Avoid The Hartford like the plague they are a fraud, and do not listen to what AARP RECOMMENDS. THEY RECOMMEND ONLY THE COMPANY THAT PAYS OFF THE MOST.I am no longer with AARP or the Hartford.
