My aunt purchased a pair of Timberland Ladies ankle boots in February for my birthday and gave them to me a few days ago when she visited me. She bought them up north and i live in florida. Well, yesterday evening, i went to put them on to wear them for the first time and my hand was covered in this black tar stuff. I examined the boots and discovered the soles appeared to be melting. It was like sticky black play doe on the shoes. I tried putting them in front of a high powered shop fan over night and found they were still sticky and gooey. So i tried baby powder on the soles to dry them out like my older brother suggested and it didnt work. Neither my aunt or myself have the box or the receipt for them anymore to take them back or get them exchanged. I dont know what else to do. I do not wish to throw them away nor do i wish purchase another pair to replace these. SOMEONE HELP ME?!?!?!?
