Dear complaints office. My name is Zukiswa Gqubusha. I have a problem the way Edcon handled my complaint with regards store manager Portia Mahlele, store code 9802 Top Shop. On 22 June went to a store to purchase some items on closed down special and the store was about to be close down on 29.06.2018. I saw a marked down shoe for R129.90 when I got into pay point till they scanned the shoe and say it's R350.00, I refused to pay what they telling me to pay. The cashier called the manager, and the manager said " sorry mam this price is wrong(R129.90) and the correct one is R350....we started arguing and she said I can call Complaints department on 086 011 2442 . On the 25 June 2018 I called the number and they put me through on 0800203925. I spoke to Linda, Angel Mboweni, Carrol Ramusa , Jackey Seboloi and they gave me a Ref : 18062500113/GO..they said they will escalate the query to the store and turn around time will be 48 hours. I called again on 27th of June past 12pm after I realise that 48hours passed by and they is no feedback. They said my query has not been resolved cos the store have not yet send them a response. They advise that I must wait another 48 hours...Eventually Joyce Litlape phoned on 28 June 2028 and she she said I can go to pick up the shoe. When I got to the store , Potia Mahlale who is a store managers said the shoe is out of stock/finish , sold out cos it was a Mark down. I called Edcon complaint office(Joyce Litlape) to advise her... then suggested that they can sell me the similar shoes but they refuse and they sad" the issue was with the sold out shoe not the one that is available". I advise them that this similar shoe cost R300.00 even less than what was sold out. And I ask why was that shoe not been set aside since the was unresolved issue/complaint about it: the answer was "sorry but there's nothing we can do" Can someone there please help me to resolved this cos I feel that i was ill-treated and disrespected by Edocon. After I have spend airtime calling them from 25th until 28June and driving to the store sitting there for 3hour's waiting for them to resolved the complaint. But there was no justice to the matter.
