nonpayment

I have finally been paid. The intentionally drawn out payment time aside, the snarky language, personal insults, and attempts at intimidation I received from interacting with Shelah have been most deplorable and unprofessional. I have never witnessed this kind of behavior in another human being before, on a personal or professional level, but I forgive and I forget. This has been a learning experience for sure.

nonpayment

I am currently dealing with Shelah Johnson and a case of non-payment from my work for her online magazine Trailerchix.com. It has been over 3 months and I have not received payment for my invoice submitted to her on 7/10/11. Whenever I ask for an update on the status of my payment I am met with a barrage of insults and personal attacks. She has told me the check was mailed on 9/7/11, but that was 3 weeks ago. It does not take 3 weeks for a letter to get to anywhere in the US let alone the same side of the country. When I asked her to check with the bank on the possibility of it being returned I was met with more personal attacks and insults instead of an answer. It's really quite sad that she acts this way. However, I find it very interesting how many other people have had the same issue with non-payment with her over the years though (search for her past company Techchex). Her track record is not very good. Wish I would have known this before hand. Based upon what I have read, I doubt she has any intent to pay me. Even if she does pay, her behavior and language have been most unapproriate and unprofessional.

Shelah,
Technically I am not paid until I have the check in hand. I called the 1-800 number. The number is for account holders only. They were not allowed to even acknowledge the possibility of there even being an account there, as I am not the account holder. The "tracking number" was the banks confirmation number, not a USPS tracking number.

This is the first I'm hearing of you actually making an effort to correct the issue with the bank, and having your book keeper reissue the check. If this is true, thank you, but as off today, 9/30/11 there has been no check in my mail box. I will consider this all to be the truth when I have received another confirmation number and form from you for the new check, or perhaps the check itself.
