Travelocity is misleading the public

I purchased 2 Delta airline tickets to Jamaica through Travelocity. I also purchased the travel protection insurance that turned out to be useless and a waste of money. One ticket was issued in my name and one ticket was issued in the name of my travel partner. Both tickets were paid for out of my account. Due to an unforeseen circumstance we were unable to take the trip. After waiting on hold a ridiculous amount of time to cancel the trip and activate my insurance protection (or so I thought) I was told I had to go through AIG to process a claim. AIG then had me jump through a bunch of hoops and submit my request in writing, only to be told that the only way I could get a refund was if I was sick. The advertisement for the protection insurance that Travelocity sells does not state that stipulation. So thinking you are safe if something happens is absolutely false. So I was issued 2 eCredits....one in my name and one in the name of my travel partner. I can only use the one in my name, even though I paid for both tickets and Travelocity can verify the funds for both tickets came out of my account. All agents at Travelocity clearly agree that it is unfortunate that I am about to lose my money for the other ticket but place the blame on Delta's policy. Again something that is not made clear when you purchase tickets through travelocity. So unless my travel partner is willing to pay me for the ticket(which they are unable to do) I have lost over one thousand dollars. I have tried to resolve this with Travelocity to no avail. I have ask to speak with someone in charge to no avail. IF I PAID FOR BOTH TICKETS, BOTH CREDITS ARE MINE! TRAVELOCITY IS TRYING TO SAVE THEMSELVES MONEY AND ARE DEFINITYLY MISLEADING THE CONSUMER. BY THE WAY THE CREDIT MUST BE USED BY NOVEMBER 2021.

Run around

So… the trip was great.. until we landed in Chicago and our flight to Bloomington was canceled.They did give us a second flight.. in 2 days. So we opted to pay WAY too much to rent a car and drive to our truck in Bloomington.It was a long night.
We have said that we have been ultra fortunate to not have many glitches on our trips, and this is seriously a minor one..we know many other stories that are much worse!

NOW? I am on hold with American Airlines at the same time online with Travelocity … it seriously looks like we are eating this one😡
Come on big businesses! Don’t ignore us and Don’t keep tossing us between two virtual agents.

Airline

Booked a flight to Denver 6 months before flight. Tried 4 times to get a seat assignment or pay to get assignment because I needed to make sure I got there on this flight. Checked in exactly 24hour prior to the flight and got the second worse seat on the plane. You get to check in 5th position once everyone has boarded. Same thing happened on the return, except I got the worse seat on the plane. The last row, no recliner and was bumped 47 times by the line of passengers going to the bathroom and the United Staff. When you book Travelocity expect the worse seat possible. First and last time to book a discounted fare on the Airline. Will never ever use Travelocity again! Go to Airlines direct!

Handicap room was not available

On Monday March 24, 2014 I arrived at the I P Casino Spa and Resort in Biloxi to no handicap equipped room. These reservations were made a month in advance to make sure the handicap room would be available. Travelocity also connected me with the Hotel to make sure my needs would be accommodated. When we arrived and received the key that is when we realized the room was not handicap equipped. Then a call was made to the front desk and they said they didn't have a handicap room available.(They said maybe tomorrow but didn't hear anything else from the front desk.)The reason for RESERVATIONS is to make sure everything is ready when you ARRIVE. You are already tierd from the TRAVELING and especially when you are DISABLED. This was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT and I fell that it needs to be made RIGHT.
