Salesman error
True Move Internet salesperson knocks on door and asks if i want to connect internet ... I say, Im only staying 4 months but i would love to have internet, is that possible? ... yes ill have to check with my superiors and get back to you ... few hours later ... yes we can do it, they can come tomorrow ... Great!
Great until i try to return the equipment, appears to be a 12 month contract slipped in somewhere??? Despite my only condition being that i only have 4 months on my visa.
Now it appears i am up for a ridiculous amount to cancel the contract ... should i be held responsible, Since true move have spoken to the salesperson and educated them on the facts. Im also being blacklisted from them if i dont pay the cancellation fees.
Ive been trying to return the equipment as i have no intentions of cheating true move out of their equipment, but that also appears to be not possible without paying the approx 10,000baht penalty. Just doesnt make sense ... to be willing to write off 5000-7000 baht worth of equipment ... but not compromise on the penalty, which would appease me.
Their phone customer service was courteous and prompt ... but I was offered no compromise at all even when bought to the managers attention... choices offered ...
1. Pay the Bill or
2. Just leave and you will eventually be cancelled and blacklisted.
Thanks to customer service for pointing out that it is my choice ... guess which one i will be choosing.
My complaint is ... even though true move have spoken to their representative and educated them, they offer me no compromise in settling the mattter, the cancellation fees are around 10,000 baht and not a single baht reduced ... even after discovering that it was no fault of my own.
I am not an unreasonable person, but i object to being added to a blacklist and my credit reputation in Thailand destroyed because of a sales error. This will be the first time in 55 years that i will disregard a bill.
