faulty cellphone
My name is Tinyiko, I have an account with Truworths ,on the 10th of February 2018 I bought three cell phones for my kids at Truworths Centurion Mall. The following day one of the phones was rebooting itself and switching itself off and I also realized that it had a mark on the screen. On Thursday the 15th February I took the phone back as it was still in the 7 day exchange warranty period and explained the problem, the sales person did not deny that he could have missed the mark since he sold the three phones to me and he just switched them on and put them in the box, but he could not change it or credit it because of the mark, then he will have to wait for the manager to come and take the decision the following day since he/she was not at work that day. I insisted that they call the manager assistant to come and resolve the matter, the supervisor came and also said he can not exchange it nor credit it because of the mark, they will have to wait for the manager to take a decision and he will call me the following day .They said I must leave the phone so that the manager can look at it, which meant driving up and down for me. On Friday the 16th February I received a missed call from the shop, when I called back I spoke with the Supervisor, he told me that the manager also says that they can not exchange it nor credit it and the only thing they can do for me is to take it for repairs and they do not guarantee if it will be fixed, and I must bring the original slip to them because they only work with originals.
The phone is still under 7 days exchange warranty, why should it be fixed not exchanged. I explained to them that the phone is for my daughter who is at the University and she needs it urgently, they don't care and told me that it will take five to six weeks from the repair. I am very disappointed with the service.
