I was retrenched due to Covid, I applied online for UIF as the offices was not open at that stage. As we were evicted from our rental place we moved to Klerksdorp end of October 2020. I went to the Klerksdorp UIF offices 2 times to get registered for UIF.
I received my payments regularly but my last payment was on 6 March. The people in Klerksdorp is not getting paid UIF. As per the snip loaded, that was a letter in the Klerksdorp Record (newspaper) yesterday. Why must bribes be paid for you to get your rightful money. What are the corrupt staff at Klerksdorp doing if they are not doing their work that are getting paid to do? We are on the verge on being evicted if we do not pay our rent by the end of May. But the staff from Klerksdorp UIF offices are sitting and laughing at the people claiming UIF. I am 63 years old and have been working all my live. For the first time I am claiming UIF and then this is what we have to deal with
