UPS delivery driver

April 21, 2018 driver ‘Sam’ rang our door shortly after noon. I opened the door to find him him hastily retreating up the wall. I called to him asking if I could help him.

Sam responded “which package am I to pick up?” To which I responded, “give me a moment, I’ll ask me wife.”

Sam curtly responded “I don’t have time for this.” I asked if that was the best service UPS had to offer and he responded “yup.”

Once he drove off, I notice he left his hand truck on the stoop. I moved it inside so it would not be stolen. I then proceeded to start my yoga session. 10 minutes later Sam returned ringing the bell. I called out to him “I’m don’t have time for this.” He shouted something unintelligible as I appriached the door and stormed off.

He never returned for his hand truck so I gave it to a different driver two days later.

I call the UPS contractor who processes complaints. Filed a report. I have heard nothing back for two weeks. Today, The UPS driver noted on an Amazon delivery that we “refused” today’s package. No deliveries have been attempted at this address today.

Also, in the past month UPS has lost two critical packages shipped to my customers. I cannot suggest strongly enough that, whenever possible, you avoid using this company. They are less than reliable, accountable and cannot be bothered to even accept a customers complaints directly.

Driver Indifference

RE: InfoNotice No. 939525399933

Dear UPS:

This is a letter of complaint about your services, in particular your delivery drivers. On Friday 6/10/2016, I ordered some Microsoft software from CDW-G to be delivered from XXXXXX, NV to my house in XXXXX, CA. I was told by the seller the arrival was approximately Tuesday, 6/14.
Some time on Tuesday morning 6/14, your delivery driver arrived on my porch. It just so happened that my wife was gone, leaving my XX-year old daughter home briefly. Due to being a minor, we had instructed her to not to answer the door for non-emergencies. As a consequence, your delivery driver left a receipt (attached).
Specifically on this receipt, it states as follows: “We can leave your package(s) on the next weekday (including holidays) if you sign the back of this InfoNotice.” Upon arriving home that afternoon, I noticed the slip. I followed the instructions and signed the back on Section B, where it says “I authorize UPS to leave my package(s) at my address. I agree that UPS will not be liable for any loss or damage that may result from leaving the shipment.”
On Wednesday, my wife and daughter were home the entire day. No attempted delivery was made. Upon arriving home at 4:45 PM, I called the toll-free number (1-800-833-9943). The automated voice mentioned that the package was left at the “local” UPS office without an address. As I was not certain that a delivery would still be possible even before 6 PM, I finally reached a live customer service person. She confirmed the true-ness of the automated message. She also gave me the location of the UPS office. I asked her if they could still deliver the package. She said that the next available delivery would be Monday 6/20. I then decided to pick up the package in person. The UPS office was over a mile away.
As this software which I purchased was greatly needed, the amount of time to deal with the missed connections with UPS was totally unnecessary. The UPS InfoNotice gave the FALSE impression that there would be at least ONE MORE attempt at delivering AND LEAVING the package. The whole idea of the customer (myself) having to go to a UPS facility to pick up the package defeats the value-added benefit of using UPS in lieu of USPS and FedEx. Admittedly, I am very frustrated with the wish-washy conduct of your driver(s) for NOT following through via the InfoNotice. It is common knowledge that UPS delivery drivers are considered one of the highest paid employees in the package delivery world. As such, they should be exemplar in their due diligence. In this case, he or she failed miserably. On a side note, the UPS staff at the facilities were courteous and helpful. My complaint is ONLY with your driver(s).
Please rectify this perceived indifference and lack of due diligence on the part of your driver(s). Thank you.
Yours,
John Doe

UPS will reroute your package at drivers discretion

I ordered a part for my car ($150) and driver left a note at door that delivery was attempted. I was home the whole time, no one knocked, rang the door bell, or bothered to leave the package at door as noted on both front and back door.
The package was to be delivered to a UPS access point the next day (friday).
I then tracked the package to pick up at this location and saw that package couldst be delivered there either due to no response. Well, why the hell would my package be rerouted to a location that is supposed to be convenient and no one be there to accept the package.

UPS is a joke! There Customer service guy boldly lied and said that someone would deliver the package Saturday - He must be as stupid as he sounds because UPS dent deliver on Saturday and I clearly told him I didn't believe a word he was saying and that I was almost sure that even though he said the package would be delivered to my home it would be delivered to the access point and again not be left there and would end up being sent back to the sender. he also offered me some sort of gift certificate which I am also sure is a LIE.

I will never send anything or accept anything to be sent to me by UPS any longer. FED Ex ground is much cheaper and more efficient that UPS. I will not feel bad if ever UPS lays off all these jokers or eventually just cannot do business any longer.

What a shame that they feel like they have to LIE to their customers and think that this is acceptable - SHAME ON YOU UPS!

I called many times to UPS and confirmed that the package arrived on October 8th . With this confirmation I proceed to bought my ticket (flight) to Peru on October 11th 8.00 p.m. need to be at the Airport Los Angeles. The package did not delivery on Thursday 8th. I called to UPS and indicated that the package was returned to Florida. All the Supervisor did not know Why the package return to Florida.
I contacted Sara, 800-292-3013 and She confirm that the package delivery to me on October 8th, Also I let her know that I will trip to Peru on Saturday 11th at 8.00 p.m. by consecuense I am not able to received another day. I tried to contact with Sara at the phone above mention why I didi not received my package on time. She never answer the phone and never return my calls. Also I spoke with many supervisors, and confirm that the package is going to deliver on Saturday 11th. NO WAS TRUE!!!
I could not lose my Ticket. UPS does not tell the truth. UPS mistake with this shipment??????

The errors that UPS do the users need to pay or lose my flight?

Never again will be use UPS.
UPS has to be more seriousness and responsibility in their shipments.

Please investigate and follow the shipment. Why returned to Florida?
