ATM did not dispense money / mechanical error
I stopped by the local U.S. Bank to take $460.00 out of my account to pay rent the nexr day, leaving just over $20.00 in my account. I went through the entire process,however when the ATM went to dispense my money, it made a weird sound and my money did not come out. The screen briefly flashed a message, for maybe 2 or 3 seconds, "There has been a mechanical error, your account will not be charged." The ATM dispensed my receipt, and it showed my account was indeed charged. I grabbed my phone and checked my account, the money was gone from my account. I immediately called the number on the back of the card, and went through filing a dispute, the whole time sitting in front of the ATM. I pulled to the front and went to go in, but they had just closed. I waited and finished my dispute filing. Some employees came out, and one was gracious enough to talk to me. She explained that maybe the money would automatically go back on my card, after 10pm or midnight, but not to hold my breath odds are it wont, it didn't. She said i needed to come by in the morning and talk to them. I had a doctor appointment the following morning, so I called them as I was heading to my appointment i was told the dispute filing with reliacard was enough i didnt have to come in. I have tried calling several times and have spoke to people including supervisors, and was told a dispute agent woild call me before the end if the day, that was three days ago, and still nothing. The ATM knows an error occured, and probably logs errors. I used a US BANK ATM, and that machine has had to be refilled several times, they know the money was long in the audit of the machine, it's on camera, and its one bank, theirs, there is no back and forth between companies. I need my money, I had to get a pawn shop loan and borrow money to pay my rent, and they wont call me back, or give me my money.
