Grant money

Last Saturday I received the same call and gave information on my PayPal MasterCard of course they took the $3.87 and didn't put any money on my card. I contacted PayPal to block them, I hope it works and I got another call today! He said his name was Martin Anderson, quite the "American" name for someone that was obviously Indian and he actually tried to get my card information so he could find out who I talked to, he wanted all of my card information in order to do this so I asked for his supervisor and he hung up on me. All of these numbers came from New York. Big scam, everyone beware.

Scams

I got a call from these people today. I fill out for a lot of grants so naturally I fell for it. Please ignore these people. They must be bases out of Texas because that's where the number was traced to. Like many others. I caught my mistake and canceled my card so they couldn't take anymore and my bank is suppose to dispute the money. If I ever see these low life's (which I won't just let me dream) I will knock my 3.85 out of there teeth. The man was so nice and from India. I just forgot what grants I filled out for and what ones I haven't. I am in school and have been awarded some real ones. They picked the right sucker when they got me. I'm glad I put a stop to it in time. At least hopefully I did. Some one should put a stop to this. This is a real business not just someone using g your card number on amazon. I mean the government should stop this. Enough people have complained. But then again when does the government do anything productive.

Total Scam

I got a call from (469) 834-4505, a Texas number. Couldn't tell if it was a guy or girl, so I'm gonna guess a girl. She told me I applied for a government grant last year (which I didn't since I graduated college in 2013), and my application was approved. Congratulations. Yada yada. She said all she needed was $3.80 to finalize the funds or something. I could barely understand her. She has a THICK Indian accent and the phone kept cutting out like the line dropped. I asked to speak to her manager. I had to ask three times because she suddenly couldn't understand me. Her "manager" got on the phone and surprise surprise, he had an Indian accent too. He basically said the same thing she did, so I asked him what his company was called. He said US Financial Resources, so I googled it while I was on the phone with him and this page came up. I quickly read "scam", " won't return money" and a few others, and I told the guy he was a scam and I told him everything I found in Google.
So he raised his voice a little and told me to go to USFinancialResources.com and tell him what I see. So while I was typing in the website he kept asking "what do you see? What does the website look like?" I'm over here thinking, good grief why is this guy so defensive. So I decided to have a little fun and give him a hard time since this was obviously a scam. I told him his I pulled up an ugly looking website and it wasn't anything special because all scams have websites. He got pretty annoyed with that. I asked him if he worked for the government and he said yes. So I argued that if he worked for the government, the website wouldn't be dot com, it would be .gov to which he argues "not necessarily". Ha. Yes necessarily. I said if the government had money for me, they could call me themselves, and then I started to cuss him out. I told him not to call me anymore because he's trying to scam me and I hung up after he said OK.
This really pisses me off. If they call again, I swear I will make it my goal to make the caller cry.

Trying to get me to give private banking information

Man called from Texas somewhere, three times today from phone number: 210-259-3862. He said I had registered two years ago for a grant and needed to give them my bank account information so they could remove $3.00 from my checking account - it would be a bank to bank withdrawal. They said they worked for US Financial Resources. The guy sounded like he was from India.

When I told him I had never applied for a grant, he assured me I had. No! When I kept saying NO! he volunteered to let me speak to his supervisor, who was a woman, who also sounded like she was from India. They had the city I lived in and my gmail account but refused to tell me whether they had any other information about me. They kept saying pay us the $3.00 and they would send me a secure email with a form to put all of my CONFIDENTIAL information on and the amount of money I wanted to receive.

I said "when did I fill this out and where did I do this?" They said I had gone on to one of many websites that are connected to them. I asked them for their website and they said " We are NOT a website" but that they received the information from a website where I had filled out this request. I asked again, "when did I do this?" She said that I had filled out a request last November. The story changed. I said that this is something I would not do unless it were through a government agency and talking to a real person. She kept trying to tell me that all I had to do was give her $3.00 and that this was NOT A SCAM!

I called the number and a recording says "the person who you called is not accepting calls at this time."

SO, IF YOU HAVE A GMAIL ACCOUNT WITH GOOGLE - CHANGE IT!

Won't Return Money

I fell for this scam somewhat. It sounded scam-ish, so I gave them a prepaid credit card information. I am trying to go back to school, and so I thought this would be wonderful. Well, I tried calling them back several times, and after giving my name and confirmation number, they hung up on me....4 different people. Obviously, they recorded my number down to ignore, because I had to call them from different phone numbers in order to get through. This is a scam...sad, but true...luckily, my gut saved me a lot more than just $3.87.

Same problems

I have been getting numerous calls from these people but I won't let them get very far and I shut them down. I called the federal trade commission (877) 382-4357 and they took the complaint and then referred me to the Attorney General for AZ because of them claiming they are giving Federal Grants (800)352-8431. I was told they will send out a form for me to complete. Not only am I getting calls from them but I'm also getting calls from (561)670-2144 from W Palm Beach Florida and when to try to call them back it says the number is no longer in service so I will be reporting both of them, So whatever state you're in call the Attorney General and maybe we can get these idiots stopped!!!! By the way, a couple of years ago I was receiving checks that looked completely real and had the water codes you can see under a light and everything. I enter contests but I wasn't stupid enough to cash the checks and too them to the bank so other tellers could be told as a lot of people cash these checks and start spending the money and then have to come up with everything they spent to repay the bank. Good Luck everyone. I may just have my telephone# changed as you're allowed to do that once a year with no charges to you.

$5,000 or more grant

Recently filled out fafsa info for school. They called a few hours following the completion of my forms from an unknown #. I asked if this had to do with my school. An Indian guy said no, this is a personal grant that you will never have to pay back. Asked me to pay a fee of $3+ I told him I didn't have the money. I asked is this a scam. He then begins to yel saying that it is not a scam, it is a government recorded line. I told him that government calls bring up a phone number on the caller id. He then put a manager on the line. The phone was breaking up. So I hung up, they called back 5 times back to back.

If it was a real grant, they would be calling me, verifying my address and sending a check for a paper trail! I've never had to pay the government for them to issue me a check. I pray that nobody else falls for this scam.

Harassing Calls

Seconded what so many others have said. US Financial Resources keep calling me to say I have won a grant money. I couldn't hear him so well. They keep calling me and won't leave me alone. His name sounds Indian and I believe it to be a scam. His phone number is 1-800-347-1191 and his employee id is USFR. Their address is US Financial Resources PO Box 3333 Pleasant, Utah 84062. This person was unforgivably rude and mocking when I asked them to remove me from their list.

Please have them stop calling me.

U.S. Finance Resources

Had a phone call today. Guy with Indian accent wanted $3.87 (payment for documents) to sign so that I could be given a "grant."
I applied for no grant and told him so. He said that didn't make any difference -- that I had been "chosen" and the money was already there. I stalled and told him to call back Monday morning. I won't be home to answer the call, because I've looked up the
company, and it is obviously a huge scam. End of story (I hope!).

Wont return money

Well the US Financial resources is the biggest scam running across the united states. Actually this scam is a call center scam. Clients placed across the globe render targets to the people working in these kind of call centers and give them a target to achieve through any means. It's a experience I am sharing as a worked in these call centers over a 10 day period and when I knew the reality it was so gruesome. Breaking the human trust. Well the main part of the sales comes as soon as the agents grab the card they start reading a script where the actual Reality is hidden. And this same script read is recorded and saved as a legal proof for the customers as only a 'yes' from their part was enough to charge from them any amount of money from the cards on a monthly basis.

These creeps are calling me now 3 times a day. All with East Indian accents so thick you can't understand them. Sylvester and Dexter were their names?? definitely not Indian names. They will ask for the same information over and over trying to get your credit card #. They will tell you it is a one time offer and won't let you check the website they provide. If it is a one time offer why are they calling me 3 times a day. They will also tell you they are part of the BBB and will lose their jobs if you don't participate. I finally hung up on them after 25 minutes. Hope they don't call back. I too was told the fee was only $3.87 no mention of the monthly recurring $59 something on your credit card. Whatever you do do NOT give these people your credit card number!!!

this company is the biggest fraud they have been calling me everyday and then hanging up finally I talked to a lady in who I could barely understand. She said she was from US Financial Resources so i immediately got on my computer and Googled it only to find hundreds of people who have been scammed by this company. I told the lady that I would not trust her company with my money because I don't want to get scammed for a bunch of money. She got really angry and told me that this is me and my family and that its my loss not hers. After rudely hanging up on me the only thing I could think was howwww professional!!!

Wont return money

o.k. folks, thanks for the info...yes, I fell for it too, and gave out my debit card number, but I don't have any money, that's why I was seeking out a grant that I keep seeing information on. I just got my computer running again today, so I think I will attempt to contact them. I don't know why these companies are even allowed to keep misinforming the public as they do. Why hasn't there been a stop put to all this? Everyone knows all over this country we are having difficulties just meeting daily living requirements, yet the super rich are allowed to sucker us in, and destroy whats left of us. Life is not so great anymore for most of us, but then...who cares? Let me see if they're still in business. My little $3.87 has already been withdrawn, they got me on that one, don't need it to go any further!
