I cancelled my payment agreement with usenet.nl using the PayPal service and received an email confirmation from PayPal that the payment agreement with usenet.nl had been cancelled.


Subject in email from PayPal: "Payment agreement cancellation confirmation"


"This email confirms that you have cancelled your payment agreement with usenet.nl. No further payments will be made from your PayPal account to this merchant."

I stopped receiving emails from Usenet.nl so it appeared everything was cancelled.

I didn't receive any emails about a upcoming renewal of contract or extension.

Then today, over a year after I cancelled my payment agreement via PayPal, I received a notice from a debt collection service requesting payment of the annual membership within the next 7 days.

I had received no email from usenet.nl until over 3 months after the anniversary date.

Does this sound like the actions of a company that should be allowed to do business across international borders?
