Hot Water Issues and Equipment always broke down
The Courtenay gym has been having hot water problems for months. Day after day we are being subjected to ice cold showers if we want to clean up before going to work. When I phoned the Regional Manager, she gave me the excuse that it was the first that she or anyone from head office had heard of the problem. I call BULL as I know that they have all been contacted several times over the issue. A cold shower again today after being promised the situation would be rectified immediately. The treadmills are always broke down. One has been down for at least 5 months now and another one for a couple of weeks. What does it have to take for us to get the same service as the gyms in Victoria and Nanamio. We pay the same membership fees but sure don't get the service that is promised in their contracts that they make us sigh. Why is it okay for this company to breach their contract over and over again. I definitely will not be renewing my membership with this laugh of a gym

Bad Customer Service
3 years ago, my wife attempted to join the VI Fitness in Courtenay. She supplied a bank account number at the time. However, when the clerk called back and asked for a secondary form of payment, The clerk asked for a Credit Card number, my wife replied that she did not have a credit card, the clerk then stated that the application could not go forward, as there was no back up payment method. It was agreed by both that they would cancel the application.
While checking our bank account it was noticed that payments were being taken out of the account. My wife called and clarified that there was no authorized agreement to withdraw money from this account, she was assured that it would stop.
This supposed 1 year contract has turned into a 3 year contract and VI Fitness continues to take money. We have put stop payment notices on the account, only to be charged with NSF payments.
Numerous email corespondence from VI Fitness has assured us that has been a mistake and would be fixed. We have been given a number of excuses, but still the payments go on.
Now the managers are refusing to answer calls or emails.
