Getting Barraged with Viking Mailings
I called Viking about 2 months ago, to stop their brochures, ads and physical mailings to my PO Box. The Rep calmly assured me that all mailings will stop within 10 days. I really believe the amount and persistency of the mailings have actually increased! I will never
sail on a river cruise with Viking after I read about some tangential experiences of friends and others on a Rhine River Cruise last September. I think Viking is the lowest of the low when it comes to River Cruising as they have no integrity
I will start filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau or anything else I can think of that will damage Viking, in order to get them to stop. Or you can assure me very quickly , that you will do what you already promised!!!!

Nickel and dime you
After having a great trip with Viking in 2014, we booked another trip this year with Viking
Unbelievable difference in customer service.
There is no communication (except getting brochures every other day) on what is happening. Each phone call is answered with lame excuses and different answers, Now, every time I call they want to add more fees and expenses. I wanted to leave a day early, that would cost over $200 . So I wanted to to book my airfare early, which I had to pay an extra $100 for, and now they want another $300 to cover the airfare, plus taxes and port fees.
Their growth has killed their customer service with seemingly underpaid, with no knowledge or experience.
I will NEVER use Viking again

Low Water Levels
My husband and I have not gone on our cruise but received word yesterday of the itinerary changes due to low water levels. It's grossly unfair and unethical of Viking to not notify their customers of this issue in advance when it's apparently been an issue since summer. When I called customer service offers absolutely nothing, a drink package, an extra tour, compensation, nothing for the inconvenience. I feel we've been taken advantage of and have no recourse at this point. I'll post again after the cruise but am not looking forward to seeing our cities via bus. That's not what we signed up for and Viking was aware of this issue when we booked our cruise.

Scam
I saw some interesting television advertisement which gave me enough interest in checking out Viking River Cruises. Now after reading this post and others... I will pass. No way !
