stealing money

I was using the service WageWorks to allow for non-taxed transit tickets. They put money on a debit card that can only be used at transit facilities. I recently had a change to my work where I can work from home and do not need any such commuter charges. I called to ask to get my balance ($300) forwarded back to me and be issued a 1099 so I could pay the tax. They said they could not do that because it was pre-taxed and it must remain on the card until I left my employer. It just seems crazy to me that this business is saying I have to leave my employer before I can get my $300 back but I went through several managers that are all saying the same thing. I would need to quit my job to get money back that I earned, is being used for nothing and is not even earning any interest. Just seems like such a raw deal.

Wage works

OK I get it I work for a call center. But I can't even understand the people on the phone! And too much noise in the back ground. Too many people that talk load around other people. I couldn't even hear my own rep. Now that's bad. Then need to place you on hold too long and some many times for simple questions. I send in a check for re-payment it arrives on a Monday and they post it to my account on Fri. and 24 to 48 hour to clear my account to use my card. Nice work. I just Love it when a Company goes that extra mile for you. Now in a way this is Money comes out of my Check and is my money in the 1st place. It's got to be a Scam. Why do they hang on to it? Just like the banks! Are they working off our money like the Big Banks. The longer they hold onto it the more they make of the interest? Is this why they demand and receipt for every little think they can thing of and even if they know what it is. Come on are they really that mentally incompetent? NO. Well yes they are. Sad very Sad. People that's our health care. I just know I didn't Vote for it. and I going to do something about it this time around again. I'm going to VOTE again and I hope you all do this time and VOTE SMART this TIME.......

Customer Service would not trasfer to a Supervisior

I had a very bad experience with the representative of Wage Works on February 18, 2016, call ended at 8:45am. Before I opened an account with Wage Works (Commuter Transit Account), I had a few questions. The Representative operator RhonnaMay sounded like an automatic answering robot because every time I asked her a question, there would be a long pause (about 10 seconds) before answering. Not only she was not knowledgeable, she didn’t want to answer my questions by staying quiet. I would say “Hello” thinking she hung up the phone.
I then asked to speak to another representative and she refused. She told me she cannot transfer my call to another rep. I did asked to speak to a supervisor, she told me she cannot transfer my call to a supervisor without an account. I then asked to get the supervisor and refused that too. She cannot get a supervisor if I did not have an account. I continue to ask for a supervisor, she would again stay quiet with a long pause and tell me the same thing over and over again.
It’s very frustrating to deal with a representative that cannot help you, it shows that customers is always wrong instead of right. This turned me off on opening an account. I can imagine how this company works if I really had a problem.
The Representative Rhonnamay, (if that’s her real name) is very unprofessional and has a lack of knowledge!!! I am very unsatisfied with this company!!! Thank god I didn’t open an account with them!!!

horrible wage works

Wage Works IS THE WORST. They lose receipts, have zero customer service..been on hold for an hour waiting for a supervisor as the phone helper can't help and speaks limited English. Now since my account has not been renewed (because I didn't reup for this year), though all receipts and claims were submitted in time and there is money remaining in the account, they will not pay my provider. Too late is the answer, though the receipt and claim were submitted on time. And they can't pay me back...I guess because they don't want to. And I have just retired, so any money that the 'pay me back' scam has will go back to my employer and I will never see it. Furious doesn't begin to describe it. This is a scam...they set up payment hurdles, lose the paper work, keep you on hold with a foreign help desk, knowing they can out wait you because they have your money. Outrageous.
Now on hold with the supervisor...well well well. It seems that Twinkle was able to find my receipt...how about that and will pay the doctor. I almost had to forfeit 235.00. Ask for the supervisor when you have trouble. And as it was, i have left 135 dollars unused in the account that 'goes back into the program'. Hire some better workers with my money.

Wageworks is worst of the worst

Wageworks is in the running for the worst customer service and business in general in the WORLD. They lose (or more accurately throw away) everything you Fax or mail to them. Their reps are functionally illiterate. I found out one of the locations is Lexington KY which explains why they act like they are on meth - THEY ARE ON METH.

wageworks

I have a wage works card that now at the end of December has a balance of 294.00 dollars remaining in the last 2 weeks my husband tried to pay an opthamologist bill and tried to pick up a prescription. Both times the card was denied I called the company and was told that I had 5 outstanding bills that receipts were needed for when I asked what they were I was told the first3 were from January for 260.00 and was probably something I had submitted from the previous year so it would be ignored. the other 2 were from a doctor visit and an eye doctor I was told to submit the receipts along with a form and my card would be available again I sent the form and bills priority mail and a week later they said they had received them but I was told the amount was off by 72 cents. and I would need to resubmit them they could not give me a straight answer which of the bills was off first they said it was the eye doctor then the dr. visit then she said the money had been taken from one bill to cover the other. I informed her I did not know how I would get a bill for 72cents when they were not sure which bill it was. I was also told to pay the bills and I would be reimbursed for them. Since it was the end of the year I did not think I had time for that, After reassuring me I had until March 31st to submit these I asked about the bills from January2013 and was told he must have been mistaken. How can I believe anything these people tell me. I called the human resources department where I work and was told it is too late to opt out of this program for this year but I will not be signing up for it next year I have probably lost that 300.00 and will have to pay cash for the 115.00 prescription I tried to use the card for as well as paying the 113.00 for the doctor bill. I am one very dissatisfied customer.

fraud by Wageworks

We opted to put $5000.00 in our flex spending account in 2012 at Wageworks through Fred-Ex Freight. My husband had surgury and was told by Mountain View Hospital that our hospital portion after insurance would be $1,100. I gave the hospital my Wageworks card and they charged it. Later on in December I received a call from the hospital that we had over paid by $534.85 and would I like a check sent to our address on file. I told them it would be easier to credit it back to the card and I would use that to pay the doctor's fee. By the end of January, I called the hospital because the refund still had not showed up on my card balance. She indicated that she had to have the card to make the refund. I took it over and she completed it and it posted on my wageworks acount on Jan 27, 2013. But, the balance on the card remained the same. It was never added to the balance so I could pay the doctor bill. I have spent over 50 hours talking and on hold with this Wageworks organization about this issue. Each time I call they put me on hold and answering questions for hours and each time they always say they are researching the problem and will call me back when they have an answer. Of course they never do. Meanwhile, it's now March and I am tired of calling. The Wageworks number I call is in some foreign country where we both have a hard time understanding each other so there are communication problems as well. Each time I call I can never talk to any of the previous people I have already worked with so I have to start over trying to explain to someone who took a crash course in Engligh to get the job. This is the most frustrating part. I feel like someone stole $534.85 from me and I do not know where to turn! Please help me!

Unfair Business Practices

This may be what stephanyo is talking about:
"A $100 monthly working spouse fee will apply if your spouse works full time and is eligible for medical coverage through his or her own employer buy enrolls in your J****medical plan as your primary plan. The monthly $100 fee is in addition to the regular premium for coverage. The $100 monthly coverage fee will automatically be assessed for employees and enrolling in Employee and Spouse or Family levels of medical coverage, unless you actively notify WageWorks that the fee does not apply in your situation for one of the reasons listed below..."
I'll omit the rest of the form. Whether it's WageWorks or the Wisconsin-based business that's imposing this marriage penalty, it's undoubtedly a class action lawsuit waiting to happen.

Unfair Business Practices

Wageworks is a company designed to get extra money from the unsuspecting employee who is offered this service from their employer.
Some of their rules and business practices are not designed to benefit the consumer using the service, but to fill the coiffers of the wageworks company.
One rule they have is the "pay me back". You pay for the eligible service out-of-pocket; submit the reciept with the appropiate form; then the money is "paid back".
The first two steps are as they advertise, but the money is not sent to you, your atm/bank account or a check mailed to your home/office...the money is paid back to the wageworks account. How is this paying ME back. I was injured during work hours & was out of work for nearly 4 weeks. My orthopedist does not accept the wageworks card anymore "we don't get paid" was what the receptionist told me, so I had to use my personal bank atm card to pay for the visit. I had 2 visits. After 10 days I was glad to see that the money was...sent..to.. wageworks??
I really could have used that $90 "back" in my pocket - I was out of work, but the bills were not and neither was my daughter's hunger.

Another is that if you pay for the previous year's bills you need to fill out forms to send in. I, unknowlingly, used my card to pay the previous year's statement from the cardiologist in the doctor's office. I have had the same cardiologist for 4 years, paid for my co-pay with the same card at the same office, etc... but now they want to have a reciept for the transaction, paperwork filled etc...and my account is now suspended with ~ $750 remaining.
They advertise as rectify choices:
* pay the wageworks a check [in essence, pay twice for the bill]
* send in reciepts [if they don't like the reciepts they will ask you for something else]
* do nothing [I assume that means that you are ok with the charge, particularly if you have money left over in the account]

Since I have so much money left - they could take the money out again?!

I DON'T GET IT!
This seems like a lot of work for using your own money...I mean it's not like medicaid or medicare where the taxpayers are collectively paying for this...this is MY money, that I have allowed to be taken out of my paycheck every week to fund this thing...then you do not get a refund?!
What happens to all of those "leftover" monies that do not get refunded?
Wageworks is the biggest scam since the financial 'bailout' money paid to AIG!
What a waste!
I had already made my elections for next year, before I realized that this is really too much hassle for removing $40.00/week from my take home pay.
I can't afford to give away $160/month...but with wageworks, I feel like I am being robbed, literally for my money...
This is not fair and something needs to be done about it or ALL of us should speak to our HR departments to remove wageworks and let's see how long those "extra", non-refundable monies last them.

Unfair Business Practices

I don't believe that what leftover funds that I don't use go back to my employer. Why would Wage Works send me a debit card with my $1, 000 that was taken FROM MY PAYCHECK to put on a card and sent to me in October - only to deactivate the card in December, not notify me and when I call to see the issue, I'm told I have 1 month to submit all my itemized receipts to them? Why wasn't I notified that my card would be shut off? Why would I have to take $1, 000 out of my paycheck from Oct-Dec, only to then pay UP FRONT for the co-pays and medical bills for my daughter to get reimbursed? Isn't that the point of the debit card? Wage Works is a scam and I will never use them in the future and also would recommend ANYONE I know to not ever use them!
