I needed to pick up my 4 prescriptions and proceeded to shop for the other food items I needed at Walmart, Wellington, Kansas.
The bill came to $163.00. I gave the cashier a check for the amount, only to be given a small piece of paper showing telecheck had refused to accept my check. To be fair, my original check account had been hacked and did cause and cost me a great deal of money. However I closed that account and reopened a brand new checking account. There was ample money in the new account and there was no reason the recent purchase should not have cleared. This has happened to me on one other time immediately after the fraud to my hacked checking account, again at a Wal Mart, Derby, Kansas. I have never had any problems prior to the hacking, therefore I am sure that cannot be telechecks problem. From now on I shall not be shopping at Walmart for any items. We have a Dillon's and Dillon's pharmacy. They probably also have telecheck, if so there will be hell to pay should I continue to have problems. What can an honest consumer do... What recourse do we have?
