My endocrinologist sends prescription for my glucose monitoring system! I have advised it needs to be billed through Medicare part B. I called Medicare they advise me Walgreens has not billed them and it’s Walgreens third party contractor, but pharmacy will not call or be bothered. It’s been days since my order and does not look like it’s getting any further. Next step file complaint with state board.

The Walgreens pharmacy on the northeast corner of Vanderbilt Beach Rd. and 41 Tamiami trail is under distress. There is only one employee covering the front desk line (6-10 deep), the drive thru (5 car minimum) and the telephones (at least 10 on hold). I was on hold a minimum of 45 minutes last week three different times and nobody ever answered. Our whole neighborhood, all of our friends and family will be leaving Walgreens for CVS this week unless the manager is fired and new help arrives.

My fiance went to the walgreens located at #06163 2010 citrus blvd., Leesburg, fl 34788. He tried to get a prescription filled and was advised, very rudely, that the doctor had to call him if he had a problem with the pharmacist refusing to fill the prescription. The pharmacist refused to call the doctor and advised my fiance that the doctor needed to give my fiance a medication that would last longer. We went back to the doctor and the doctor advised that he was not going to make any changes to my fiance's medication because he finally got him regulated where he was supposed to be. We went to another walgreens and were again turned away because the first pharmacist denied my fiance without even consulting the physician. Last time I checked, pharmacists were not allowed to dictate who takes what prescription, they are supposed to contact the doctor, end of story. Someone better correct the situation before someone dies because a pharmacist who decides he is better than the doctor, kills someone.

God'schildren, first, what days supply does the script say and are you using insurance? If you are using insurance and the insurance will not pay for the whole script amount, we will shorten it to comply with your insurance so you do not go without. The rest of the script gets put on hold until you need it. If you want to pay cash, then you can get the whole amount. UNLESS they are low on the drug, then they will partially fill it, order, and fill the remainder when it comes in.


Sloseven, IF you are known to your pharmacist, then they may fill the Roxies for you. I will tell you why pharmacies do not fill them anymore, or advertise that they do if they do. They are a hot street drug, and pharmacies that are known to carry them are dangerous places to work. My health and life are not worth your medication. Find ONE pharmacy and stick with it. If you hop from one to another NO ONE will fill your Roxies. Two pharmacies here were shut down for excessive Roxie sales, and many doctors were arrested for selling the scripts. As for not accepting insurance on Roxies, complain to your insurance company. THEY are not covering the damn pills, and Roxies cost a hell of a lot more than $7 per pill.

We are not drug peddlers. The damn doctors who sell these scripts are the peddlers. We follow the law whether people like it or not. The fact that pharmacies are refusing to fill the Roxie scripts should clue you in. I do hope you file a complaint in the courts over it. I can't wait to see how that turns out.
