I have no idea what district it is; however, this seems to be a pattern. I have gotten 2 Walmart Money cards & am on my third. I had a money card before for about 2 years & never had an issue. Now, I have money on a card that I am not being allowed to use. I call customer service & out of 50 calls, I get to speak to someone ONCE and it is a hassle to get a human on the line. The 1st time someone answered the phone & hung up on me. The 2nd time the rep. acted as if she couldn’t hear me and was OBVIOUSLY faking. The last time, I spoke to someone who identified himself as “Joe”. Today is Saturday June 27th & we just hung up at 7:48pm, Central Time (I am in Louisiana). We spoke for 15 minutes & 26 seconds and all he told me was that he could not make it so that I could use the card. He said that only a supervisor could do that and there was no supervisor working—-HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT?! Then he asks for my phone number—shouldn’t he have my number IF he has my account in front of his face?! Then he says a supervisor will call me in 3-4 hours, during which time they will no longer be available, of course. He gave me confirmation #41205605, which I don’t even know what it’s for because he did nothing to help me, didn’t know anything and couldn’t get someone on the phone to help me. This is completely OUTRAGEOUS! The first card I got was shut off with just under $4 on it, so I just didn’t worry about it, but now, on the card ending in 1187, I have $21.88 on it and that card has been disabled as well. I don’t know who owns the WalMart MoneyCard business now, but it’s a COMPLETE SCAM! When you buy a card in the store, you put money on it, but then they send you another card in the mail with the same card number but a different exp. date and 3-digit security code. Once the new card comes in, you can’t register it online because all the information doesn’t match, but after several calls and finally getting someone on the line, all they do is disable the card. I have never had these issues before with the previous moneycard I had. How much money will they STEAL before we get a response to our complaints??!!!
I guess we’ll see. I will now file a complaint with the BBB & see if I have any luck there.
