NEVER BUY WALMART MONEY CARD

We received a Walmart Money Card for a wedding gift. The expiration date on the card is 3/20. When I went online to register the card, Walmart sent me a Walmart Debit Card (that I did not want). I saved the card and wanted to use it before the expiration. NO LUCK! I called customer service and was told the card was cancelled. I have no idea the value placed on the card as the gift but expect it was at least $100. The customer service rep stated there was nothing I could do with the closed card...it has no value. Why put an expiration date on something and then cancel it before that date?

Card compromised

My card was compromised on May 3 2019 and I cannot get my money back. I have called daily and cannot get a refund. I'm desperate for money because I have bills pending. I have even asked for a corporate call back. They have my phone number they keep telling me they have an incorrect phone number.

transaction came out i did not autherize

my Socila Security goes on a Walmart money has for years A transaction came out from my card I did not authorize/ over to china I do not know what this is did not order it now they are giving me a hard time saying I ordered it. I have been a long time customer of Walmart money card now I am looking for another place to go. I need every penny of money I have on my card. Can not get any satisfaction out of the customer service

requesting id

called for a dispute, they then turn off my card and then asked for id, but I did not have new card, will not give money, no one to talk to about this the recording just keeps saying nothing can do but submit id. but get this, no matter how many time I retake my ID, they
will say ok and then it will deny, id,

They have my money, will not just send back my money by check, this is a scam, do not deal with this I am a 30 year customer of walmart and this is worse than their warranty scam with Asurion.

Walmart money card customer service is a joke

I called the Walmart Money Card customer service department to register a transaction dispute. The agent said they would have to send me out a new card in order to stop any further charges from this particular company. I asked the agent if they would have to cancel my current card in order to to submit the dispute claim and he said yes. I told him never mind because I still had money on my card that I would need access to. I told him once I withdraw the balance of my money, I would call back and proceed with the dispute. The asshole cancelled my card anyway and now I can't access any of my money until a new card comes in the mail whenever that is. I also have direct deposit of my paycheck on this card. I can't talk to anyone in customer service with a pulse because my card has been cancelled. I have called the payroll department to my job to cancel direct deposit into this account because I am very disappointed with these people. I hate banks but at least they are more professional than Walmart. Good riddance!

Walmart Visa Card

Had to close my Walmart Visa Card because it had been compromised several times and couldn't seem to get it stopped, anyway after the account was closed eBay sent me a refund on some purchases I didn't receive and of course the refund went to the closed account, don't know how that works. Guess I will write to Walmart to see what they can do so I can recover my Money. What a hassle.

Locked out from my card

I contacted the card because what I ordered never came but I got charged for it. The lady updated my information and closed my card without my permission she told me not to worry my balance would be on my new card. When I was registering my new card it stated it needed a photo ID. The first time I took the picture it said it was to dark. So I kept trying and it said upload successful many times but they never updated it. So now I am locked out from using my card and balance. Since I can't register it they give me no customer service to try to fix it. I have writing them a letter also I did a consumer affair review in which they have not responded.

Customer Service

I ordered a new card because my other one was expired. Then I receive the card and while activating am told there has been suspicious activity on my account so I will need to upload a picture of my ID. First of all I don't see how there could be suspicious activity since there has been NO Activity! I haven't used it in a year...Anyway I uploaded my ID and was told I would need to wait for 2 days for it to be verified...so I did only to find out that they canceled my ENTIRE account with them and said that I should notify any direct deposits because no other funds would be accepted or available to me! Well I already have my tax refund going to this account and I don't know how to stop it! If this isn't bad enough...there is NO WAY to speak to a real person once they cancel your account! So I can't even get an explanation or advice on what I should do. This company needs to be shut down...no wonder you can't talk to a real person they would be busy all day just trying to fix all of their mistakes! I guarantee you if they screw up my refund, I will sue them!!! Word of advice...DON'T EVER GET THIS CARD...

CANNOT ACCESS MY MONEY

For two days I have ask for help to get my password so I can get a pin number to get to my money so I can pay my rent.YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS<NO ONE CAN HELP & GIVE OUT WRONG INFORMATION. THANKS FOR SCREWING ME OVER. Now Your site says ,my email is not registered.What is going on?????

Card locked

I went into the local Walmart and got a money card, put money on it and attempted to use it to find the card is locked until I provide id. I did provide the information but now I got to wait 2 business days to see if they have unlocked it. Would u please just allow me to get my money back from the card and I’ll never use your card again.

NO LIVE people in customer svc

So, an error was made, and we have called various #s, on the card, online and given by walmart - ITS all automated systems. Have tried ALL of the choices, in hopes of getting a live person to fix this problem ASAP. What is the point of telling people to call when there is only automated choices that DO NOT address the issue?!

walmart money card

I bought a walmart money card that is supposed to be reloadable. I filled out the information for to get my personalized card and the money was transferred from my unreloadable card to my new card. so when I went o try to load the new personalized reloadable card I was told It could not be reloaded and they needed me to verify my identity. First, of all I am putting my money on this card and then paying a $3.00 fee to reload it. So why should I have to send in information on my on money and $3.00 money that I am paying for the card this is stupid. I will never use Walmart money card services again. Thanks

card replacment

i reported my card lost on 9/17/16 was told 10 days. on the 18 i had not recived my car i called was told it was never processed . at that time they said it would be mailed that friday . it is 10 /4/16 still no card keep getting the run around my pay check is sitting in that account and i cant feed my family pay my bills or nothing . who can
help fix this problem

Card Cancelation

I experienced fraudulent charges on my Walmart Money Card, and reported it to customer services. I asked what my options were and was told that they would have to cancel my card, don't get me wrong I'm very appreciative that they are only trying to help secure my funds and identity, but honestly I really didn't want to deactivate my card at the time. I'm a single parent living from paycheck to paycheck my rent was due the day after the cancellation my card and I also had a direct deposit coming through that day. I was highly upset to realize that I would have to wait 7 to 10 business days to access my funds. I just feel that's completely unfair; I mean they are not a bank where you can go in and withdraw funds at a teller or Bank so there should be other options if your card is compromised as to get your funds. For example, maybe overnight you a card or have the option to purchase another card and transfer your funds to that card. I was then told that it's out of my hands and it's not my choice to make that my card had already been deactivated and a new one would be sent in the mail, so I will be receiving eviction papers tomorrow because I can't pay rent my funds will be held for 7 to 10 business days. I will be canceling my services with Walmart Money Card as soon as the new card comes in and I get my funds. Other than that I haven't had any issues. I still expect better options when bad things like this happens.

Walmart Money Card

Walmart Money Card advertises that they give early deposit but they don't, even if you meet all the criteria. My work reports on a Tuesday every payday and I don't see my deposit until Friday. The main reason I switched to this card was for the early deposit they advertised. I called them up about four times now and every time they tell me it will be there next time.

walmart money card

I bought the card and added my daughter who lives in another state. The accounting practice that Walmart use is not understood. As far as I know when you add money to the card you will have a balance that is Money available for purchases. However that balance changes in time then go back to the real number. No one can explain that to me they keep saying it is due to the merchant getting his money. That is absurd this is not how banks deal with the balance at aa certain date , it will never change also in credit cards. Did any one experience such issue?

Walmart MoneyCard Not Good For Income Tax Refunds

If you use your Walmart card for your income tax refund and end up being audited by the IRS and it takes you out of tax season they won't accept your direct deposit. It says so on their website. Now I have a refund coming that I have been waiting months for and Walmart will not take it since it is past the tax season for the year. This is something that only Walmart Money card does. I have never seen a pre-paid card REJECT good funds from the government. It is absurd that you would use it for your income taxes since if you are delayed or audited you could be waiting an additional 4 weeks for a paper check. On that not I do not recommend them for income tax refunds at all since everyone is at risk for an audit.

Five dollar charge

I paid One Dollar for a card. I was told at the time i bought the card that's what you pay for the card. I asked if there were any others fees. I was told there were none. I registered the card and find out the card is not the card that you put money on and when the money is used up you throw it away. I don't want the card how do i stop the money from being taken out. I called customer service they did not answer. I have a Wallmart Debit Master Card. I do not want. Five dollars is being taken out every month so i'm told. I am out of work. I have no incomb. So why would i sign up for something i can't pay for. Who do i return this card to. And how do i get my money on the card back. [email protected]

Withholding of monies from gas purchase

I purchased a small amount of gasoline, pay at pump, the card ran no problem ($25.14), I see a few days later an additional $100 was in "pending" status on my transaction description. I called inquiring and was told it was the gas station holding the $100. After many calls, I sat with the station owner while he called his bank, they said it was the cardholder (me) company holding the money and not them. When I called WMMC Is poke with a supervisor (RIA) who told me my money is being "held" and will be released in 7-10 days. I continued to ask who exactly was holding it and she would no longer say it was the merchant, but wouldn't say who and the monies would be released in 7-10 days. Meanwhile my wife used the card also at another station and, you guessed it, another $85 was held on that transaction to which I must wait 7-10 more days to get that money as well.

I am asking if others have found any avenues of complaint that actually work, my plan is to call the State Attorney General Office as well as WM corp headquarters once I submit this. Anyone have any luck?

Walmart Money Card

Walmart Money Card / Green Dot keeps saying things to the media like "all cards are working" and "less than 100 affected." They are definitely 100% lying. We have OVER 700 people in our group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/498810350310934) currently so the "less than 100 people" is total BS. Problems because of this issue: Children not getting medication, people facing eviction because they can't pay their rent, people facing losing their jobs because they can't get money for gas, people having utilities shut off because the bill payment declines, people going without food trying to find local food banks, and the list goes on and on. This is so unacceptable. The company needs to tell the TRUTH about what is going on. Two have even mentioned that now their social security numbers have been changed on their cards! This is more than a "system upgrade" gone wrong...our personal information is now compromised totally. I will NEVER recommend or use this card company again. Green Dot's stock has already dropped by 1% and it's only going to get worse as people step forward with their stories. Currently there are attorney's helping us to get class action lawsuits against Green Dot and possibly Wal-mart. The fact that people have been unable to access their money since as early as Sunday night ADDED to the fact that balance information is wrong, transactions are being up to triple charged, dates are being changed on transactions, and personal information is compromised is MORE than enough information to push these people out of business!

Walmart Money Card

I am in the same boat as everybody else. I haven't been able to access my money all day long as my first check from my new job and I've waited a while for this it's a lot of money!! And now I have no way of buying gasoline diapers or anything for that matter! ---WTF are we supposed to do!!!! I am sooo pissed!!! Why the hell are we waiting STILL!!! It's been allllllllllll day!!! I'm concerned we will never see our money again!!!!!! I NEED MY MONEY!!! I have my car insurance and other bills coming out and no damn food!!!!!!! Someone please call me and help!!!!! holding funds

After 3 weeks of withholding $166l.70 i am still being told UHI had a hold on my funds. Greendot KNOWS they do not as they hsve recieved,multiple times, the required information rekeasing my funds. In addition greendot had my card cobfiscated as stolen when i tried to use my remaining funds causing me embarrassment and anxiety. I am a disabled American veteran and the $166 is not now the issue. The issue is by what legal means can be applied to hold greendot and walmart responsible .How many people a day are they doing this to? I have contacted law enforcement over this issue. Id say a class action lawsuit may be needed.

Have not got a card yet

We got a blue card at Wamart the first of this month at Walmart in Cullman Al. It is nowthe 15th of Feb. And we still have not got our card with our name on it yet and we need our money we put onthe card. Even though we only put 50.00 dollars on it to start with we need the money. We live off of disabilty and the woman told us we would recieve a permentcard in 7 to 10 days.
