In response to a complaint
This is in response to the complaint that we have just found out about. We are very small operation. We don't have much turn over. We have been in business for 8 months. In those 8 months we have retained almost 90% of the people that have started with us. Not bad if you ask me.
We are a legitimate operation that trains and places bartenders across the country. Our program genuinely works. We put people to work. In addition our program allows many stay at home parents, part-time professionals and out of work career professionals to make an extra $200 ton $500 doing something that they like to do.
Yes, and to be 100% clear we do recruit bartenders. We make money off of bar placements.
The applicants are not required to take our suggestion, but coming from somebody who has been in the bar business for over 15 years and owns 2 bars: if an applicant really wants to work in a bar but cannot tell us how to make a Margarita, a Cosmopolitan, or tell the difference between Cabernet & Merlot, then they don't stand a chance in the dark of landing a job without more training.
The main reason bars are coming to us from ALL over the country is that we send them applicants that do not waste their time.
So yes we refer them to a program through the American Mixology Academy (www.americanmixologyacademy.com). I have done tons of research to find the right program that really provides good information, is affordable, practical and timely; so this is what we came up with. AMA gives our applicants the program for $89.99 down from $125.99. FYI most programs cost $300-$500 and aren't reputable.
Now to set some facts straight:
Shellene Accosta is not our national sales manager she is a sales manager. A very attentive, respectable, and corporate career woman. We have about 15 agents on at anytime. There is no need for a national sales manager and she has never referred to herself as such. We could care less about titles.
As for me, my name is Ash. You got that right. I am not the owner. I work for the owner. He's been in the bar business for over 30 years and owns 18+ bars in Vegas, Los Angeles, and Manhattan. He's my friend, mentor and employer. I have worked for him for over 15 years. He started me in the bar business and has taught me everything I know.
As for you. I think it's in really poor taste to bash and bad mouth a company because a job didn't work out for you. And to do it anonymously like a coward. We are super small operation. We don't hire or fire many people. We know exactly who you are. You worked for our company for less than one week and more specifically less than 8 hours. You quit/were fired (mutually) on the 11th of June magically the same day this complaint came out. You were not effective, needy and a complainer. We are happy that you are gone.
I would love to list your name and phone number on this site to embarrass like you've tried to do to our company. But I won't do it. You will be getting a private phone call and email from me.
Regards,
Ash Kyle
