Harassment

My mothers home is under the HARP with Wells Fargo. This is the most deceptive Mortgage company a person could ever deal with! Steer Clear of them on any Mortgage if you want to own your on Home!!! MY Mom had to enter a Nursing Home for a breif stay and Wells Fargo proceeded to boot the rest of the family out of the house even though Wells Fargo was still accepting the payments made by the family member who lived in the house to help our aging Mother with Alzheimers!! The past 5 months have been a NIGHTMARE!!! Phone calls 3 time a day wanting proof that Mom was in the house. We would fax the documents that were requested to only get MORE calls!!!! Oh and Then came the surprise visits almost weekly!! Here you have an ill elderly lady who does not know what the Hell is going on and these calls and visits really upset her already awful condition. You try to explain this to these people from Wells Fargo and it is just ignored. There really needs to be some kind of stipulations placed on companies like this . When all of this deifined, Well it is simply HARASSMENT OF ANILLOLD LADY trying to keep her home of 75 years!!!!! Ireall do not know how Wells Fargo was voted The Best in Customer Service it must have been a company Pay Off!!!!

Wells Fargo Mortgage

I just had a horrible experience with my Wells Fargo Mortgage Company. In 2013 I had a loss of income and fell on some hard times. I wanted to do a loan modification and after submitting my paperwork, I was placed in a program for 3 months in which my mortgage was lowered and the arrears were put on the back end of the loan. I was told by my Preservation Specialist, Robert Smith, that I had until the end of each month to submit my payment. So therefore, I made my payments towards of the end of October and November 2014. When tried to make my last payment, I was told that I had been kicked out of the program due to failing to keep up with the payments. Shortly after that, I received a letter from Mr. Smith indicating that I was removed from the program on December 23, 2013. When I tried to call Mr. Smith, he wouldn't return my calls. Instead, he sent me a letter letting my know that he was no longer my Preservation Specialist and that I needed to call the main number. I tried calling his supervisor, Jeremy Gowens, but he did not return my call.

Finally, I re-submitted my paperwork for the HARP program. I received some information from Mr. Smith by Fedex notifying me of the forms that I needed to submit. Mr. Smith then called me to inquire about the fedex packet. I informed him that I did not receive any forms, just some information. He told me that he needed the forms as well as the requested documents right away and would email them to me that day and then he would follow up on the next day. Well needless to say, I never received them. I called that next day and spoke to someone else who then faxed the forms to me. I tried to fax the requested information back to Wells Fargo but the fax was busy all day. I left Mr. Smith a message to inform him of the problem and I also told him in that voicemail that I would be going to fedex to send them back to him next day service. I did go to fedex that evening however, Mr. Smith had already placed my mortgage in active foreclosure. I never heard from Mr. Smith again. He never returned my calls. I spoke with his supervisor, Mr. Jeremy Gowen shortly after to explain the problem and he assured me that Mr. Smith would contact me that day. To this day, I've never heard from either one of them again.

I tried to call Mr. Smith today, February ,5, 2014 becasue he is still my Preservation Specailist and did not get an answer. In the mean time, I'm left in limbo and not sure how to get help in this matter.

Fraudulent Practice

I have a 30-year mortgage at 5.75% with Wells Fargo on a condo . This company had solicited me many times in past on refinancing, at the expense of high fees ( around $4000). Now that there is HARP program just launched in Feb, 2012. I called them in inquire today (2/15/2012). I was informed the following (30 year loan): If this is a house, the rate would be 4.62%. For a condo, the rate is 4.65%. For an investment condo, the rate is 5%. Since I just moved out, this condo will be treated as investment and hence I need to pay 5%. When challenged on why such high rate even for primary homes, I was told there is not enough equity. How absurd!!! The WHOLE point of the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) program is for people who, of no fault of their own, own more in mortgage than their property is worth due to market decline. What is the point in refinancing if the terms are so much worse than the market rate (less than 4%) for everyone else? In addition, I am refinancing with the SAME company. If I am not a high risk (actually a good customer for the past 5 years) currently at higher rate paying more, why would I become a high risk at lower rate paying less? Why would I become such a risk so that they need to jack up the rate to 'protect' themselves!!! I think Wells Fargo is just out there to get the customers, left and right! Period!!!

Fraudulent Practice

All I can say to anyone looking to refinance or execute a HARP2 refi is to stay clear of Wells Fargo. If you are a minority specifically Hispanic or Black you will be asked your ethnicity and immediately your rate will go up by .5 to 1 full point. An excellent r credit history or payment history will not matter. This is just the beginning with Wells Fargo. Next they will play the script of delays. They will claim they lost parts of your application. They will mail you a new bundle of paperwork. Then they will accidentally cancel your application a month into the process and claim that it was an internal error. Now 30 day s into the process the script continues with a new loan application. Currently on day 45. All my research on Wells Fargo Fraudulent practices will most likely stretch out the process to 130 days. My advise "avoid Wells Fargo all together".
