Cancellations

Received a call from a yelp business salesman and July 2016. Decided to go with their service for $325 a month. In April 2017 I decided it was time to cancel because I was not seeing any return on the investment I made with yelp. Spoke to an agent And she said that she would waive the termination fee. Spoke to another agent Jared. And got a lot of great pointers from him to help make my yelp page more visible. He convinced me to stay on for yet another month to see the results of those changes. Today I called and told him that I would like to cancel because even within the two weeks that he and I had spoken, there was still no change if anything it was worse. He stuck to what he said, May 23 being the termination date with a waived termination fee. He stated that there were no notes in the system from the other person who offered me the same thing just three weeks ago. As a result I have to now pay another $325 for nothing. Whatever you do, do not go with yelp for your business needs. Unless you're a big business that can utilize their service and the investment you make with them is profitable for you. If not you're wasting A minimum of $3900 for the year. The punchline when it comes to canceling service they're going to get as much money out of you as they possibly can they will not honor what was originally stated and you will be left high and dry. Oh, I also told the agent that I recorded both of the conversations as well as a few others. My phone system automatically records any incoming outgoing calls. I wonder how his selective memory is going to be once he hears that he actually agreed with the prior agent.

This is true. When you search for my business a paying competitor comes up with 5 stars in bigger type than my listing. They are positioned right over my listing. I have 7 5-star reviews, every one of them filtered.
