Award Notification

I received this letter as well. I did not send anything to them. Sometimes things just seem to good to be true. What is the lawsuit about? I think it is ridiculous that it is legal for these letters to be sent out. [email protected]

ANC Scam?

Today 29Feb16 I received my so called notification letter with the same information listed in the above complaints. I did not send inthe money to them but did look up their office, nothing positive has been found by me ion the internet or by asking people. Please be careful with these scams, lord knows I would not want to be inadvertently funding terrorism or something of that nature by falling for one of these.

ANC Scam?

I had received a letter from the same company stating that I had won $1,327,940.00 as everyone else listed on this suit. I however do not want a part of this law suit. Instead, I acted as if I was participating. I signed my name in scribble (can't tell what letters they spell), did not check off cash, or check or anything and included a piece of white paper that said "check for $12.99" in writing. And wrote please attend to this NOW like they did to me. Thank God I did not fall for this nonsense. Any company that states you have won money will not ever ask you for money.

Award Notification Commission

My wife received this very misleading award letter from this company. She called the phone number listed on the Official Rules sheet. At least, she was informed that she did not have to buy anything, but she had to send in the Official Declaration of Certified Award and Provision of Payment. And then after doing that, she can expect a deluge of mail offers from other companies offering similar shady deals. My wife says she feels very letdown when the mailing assures her is has already won, although in the small print it clearly states you have not yet won anything. She said you can add her to any lawsuit against AWC at [email protected]..

ANC Scam letter about winnings

Received a 2 paged letter stating it is from Award Notification Commission, PO Box 2905, Kansas City, KS 66110, and that I am the winner of $1,327,940.00 (option A- one lump sum) or $2,000,000.00 (option B--30 yr. annuity). This is a terrible shame because I am homeless with two disabled sons. One son, who is with me is mentally challenged, but, self-sufficient. The other son was wrongfully incarcerated, and has sickle cell disease at which he is not being properly medicated. Lack of proper treatment is causing his body to break down. He was in a coma three times which the disease caused a stroke and weakened heart. Sending a fraudulent letter like this causes false hope and is very cruel and evil to those who are suffering, praying for a monetary change that will help their love ones to overcome their diversities. I pray and hope to see the day when these trifling thieves are caught. Please add us to the lawsuit, too. I hope justice will be served.

Award Notification Commission

If there is some law suit I would like to be involved too, Just not sure if we should be Publicly Posting Our Email Addy's right on this page as we were just either Already Scammed or About to be. I Wouldn't want to Help Those Scammers Target Us So Easily..NOT ONLY are they trying to scam people through this Award, but they are as well calling people and doing an IRS Scam Too. When I did a little research on this topic..This is what I found..

By DREAMA JENSEN
Calls are being received from callers in the 202 area code who claim they are with the IRS. Caller ID shows the calls are being received from Washington, D.C., but are they really? Even if they were, does the location mean they are coming from the IRS? Absolutely not! People receiving these calls panic as they are told they are in trouble. They are told they have committed a flagrant crime in that they have failed to pay their income taxes for multiple years. In order to avoid being arrested and taken off to jail, they must provide IRS access to their checking account.
The IRS would never work in this manner. Threatening jail time or lawsuits via phone call by any organization is an offense reportable to the Federal Trade Commission at 877-382-4357. Any pending, legitimate, legal action will come by mail courier and will not request bank account information. If you do have concerns regarding the IRS, please call that agency at 800-829-1040.
Should you have any concerns regarding this scam or others, contact us at the BBB at 574-675-9351.

Your Better Business Bureau has received calls inquiring about Award Notification Commission, P.O. Box 2905, Kansas City, Ks. We are told consumers need to remit an acquisition fee of $12.99 by check for the premium offer of $1.14 million. The mailing is signed by "Larry Hourd on behalf of ANC." ANC is an alternate business name.
When contacting the Kansas City, Mo., BBB for information on Award Notification Commission the Business Review comes up under Next-Gen Inc., which is a direct seller of merchandise.
"The company sends out award winning mailings under the name Award Notification Commission utilizing a post office box in Kansas City, Kan. to participate in cash prize drawing," according to the report.
"Consumers should understand they have not won any money yet, for they have not entered into the sweepstakes yet. The mailing asks the consumer to return the Entry & Completion Form to see if their number is the pre-selected number. The mailing solicits the return of a notice to be a cash prize winner, but suggests enclosed payment of $12.99 for a coupon booklet at the same time. Consumers should understand the suggested payment is to purchase an item from the company," the report continues.
"Company's mailing states, a purchase is not necessary and will not improve the odds of winning. Recipients of the mailing should not assume they need to buy the premium acquisition (coupon booklet) merchandise to participate in the sweepstakes to win the prize money. The Bureau has received complaints on the merchandise sold by the company and from consumers who believed they had won a prize due to the firm's mailing. The company has been responsive to the complaints."
Next-Gen Inc. has an F rating (on a scale of A+ to F) with the Kansas City, Mo., BBB. Factors that lowered the rating include BBB's concerns with the industry in which the business operates and 65 complaints filed against the business over a period of 36 months.
