Scammed

No!

After all of this time, I can't chance that Camping world would even get it right considering earlier correspondence, let alone the color. after I have you do an estimate I was quoted for doing two doors even though there was only one. I was called and told me that the manufacturer said that the grey color was no longer available but they had supplied it in white. My RV was Brown, NOT Grey and that it would have to be painted at my expense.

Even though I had purchased an extended warranty, I was told that all of the repairs required were not covered. including a faucet that was broken in the body of it. a light on the back where a holding bracket that was broken and stuck together and subsequently failed was not covered. an electronic control that raised and lowered the landing gear was not supplied (I only discovered this existed after a conversation with a fellow camper explained this was why I was having difficulty explained that this was what I should have got.) I also, on an earlier visit was told that the motor for lowering the rear landing was not covered after it had failed. On the first time I took the RV out after having bought it for less than a week earlier and had a blow out It was discovered that the tires were perished in the side walls, and the tires that had be painted to look like new ones, where not covered.

My Experience with Camping world has not been a mishap, but a total folly and a catalog of disaster's I will be sending a copy of this e-mail to Marcus Lemonis

Good morning Mr. Dean unfortunately sir we are not going to be able to pay for your compartment door to be painted I need to know whether you still want us to put it on and do we still want the decals made for it. Thank you

Camping World-Do Not Buy From Them

We purchased a 2019 travel trailer from Camping World of North Charleston, SC in May 2019. We notified Camping World and the providers on May 23, 2019, in writing, of our intent to cancel the Travel Trailer Service Agreement, the Exterior/Interior Protection Plan and the Good Sam Tire & Wheel Service Contract. The dealership staff attitude turned dismissive toward us at that time.

We were notified on June 6, 2019 that the cancellations were approved. As of today, no refunds have been made to the lien holder bank. The contract requires Camping World to pay a certain amount each day beyond the initial refund amount for their delays. They are in breach of the contract and obviously could care less.

I recommend that anyone considering purchasing an RV to look elsewhere. Their customer service horrible and I wish that we would have taken the advice of the people that have posted complaints. Do yourself a favor and do not buy from Camping world.

Lies, Lies and More Lies

Service scheduled for February 12, 2019. Dropped unit. Not in the shop until April 29th. Needed unit week prior to Memorial Day. Picked up 5/17. Unit supposed had repairs completed and signed off on work order. Day prior to trip found that "cable for dump valve remote" not reinstalled. Immediately phone Service Department. Response "just use and bring unit back after Holiday, we will repair cable, dump tank and clean black tank". Returned unit Wednesday after Memorial Day. Week later, "Shitter" still not emptied.
Run around from Camping World Staff. We will get right to it, we are working on it and we are having issues here at this facility.

Camping World

Well I wish I would of read through this board before purchasing a RV from Camping World Wauconda. Now i’m a satictic of the screwing these people are giving out. I purchased a Bounder from salesman (Rick Thompson). The RV had a few issues that (Rick Thompson) said he would take care of. I believe the statement he made was “ we don’t let any RVs go out with things wrong”. What a lie that was. I texted him approximately 8 times and each time he gave me a line of bull! He told me the part was in and then a few hours later when I followed up he says “ Oh it didn’t show up today”. This went on for at least 3-4 weeks. I’ve had the RV for over a month and no responds to my texted. I can only hope people read this board before purchasing an RV from this place. Never again!

LEMON

I bought a brand new 2018 Heartland Pioneer PI355 form Camping World in Little Rock. It was a lemon as soon as it was delivered to the RV Park lot I rent. I hooked up water turned on A/C and went to town. Came back and my living room, kitchen, middle bunk room, and bathroom was flooded. Found out that the hot and cold water was leaking on hot water heater, hot and cold water was leaking on bath an shower faucet, hot and cold water leaking on bath sink faucet, and cold water was leaking on commode. Got everything mopped up then noticed A/C and furnace was not working. The recliner would not recline. Also tv coax didn't work in any room. Screen was out of front door. Scratches on the hall walls. Pantry door would not shut. The salesman said they would add a second A/C unit in the bedroom with thermostat but it was a manual A/C unit so i paid for something I didn't get. I live 3 hours from my Rv park and its also 3 hours from my RV park to Little Rock. They delivered it to me, I am disabled and have no way of pulling it. So I called camping world to let them know of my issues, they would not come pick it up, they said it was my responsibility to bring it back, I explained my situation and they would not help. I called a local RV dealership and they said they would come pick it up, so now whats the difference, I didnt even buy it from them and they said they would pick it up and work on it. Well there was a waiting list so I got a brand new camper that I cant use. So after about a month I finally get camper back. Didnt notice this the first time but camper would shock you on the outside. 5 people got shocked, and I have a pacemaker. Lucky nobody was injured. I called camping world again, again no help. So I call local RV dealer again to get put back on the ist. RV park manager shut me down due to sombody may get hurt. Again another month without my camper. They found that a bracket was screwed into a hot wire, The tech said its a wonder nobody was killed. I called camping world and ask them to buy back this lemon, they wouldnt. They said I could trade it back in but wanted to give me a lot less what I paid for it and wanted me to buy another camper and finance $17000.00 more. Are they crazy!!!!! I ask them just come get it and I would take a couple thousand lost on it, but they would not. I ask for a district or regional manager number they refused, I could only talk to Little Rock manager. I still cant use my satellite cable. I have only used this camper a couple times. I called them to try to work out a deal they said you need to contact Heartland manufacturing. I did and no help there either with this lemon. I ask for a number for some in management but refused to give a number. Oh and when I was getting shocked I called service department 5 times in 2 weeks and not a return call. Got on website and place a complaint on customer service and got a call within 10 minutes. I just want my money back on this lemon I was sold, just waiting on the next thing to go wrong not only in my mind how much water was in it when it was flooded due to the techs not doing checkouts properly before it left. I understand you may have one problem but all those leaks plus all the other problems was not checked. So I want my money back and will take a couple thousand lost or give me a huge rebate on this lemon because its not worth what I paid for it. BEWARE of LITTLE ROCK CAMPING WORLD or HEARTLAND MANUFACTURING.

LEMON

I bought a brand new 2018 Heartland Pioneer 5th wheel PI355. When they delivered it, it was a lemon from the start. I hooked up water and flooded the kitchen, living room, middle bunkroom, and bathroom. I was outside and noticed water flowing out of the slide out. The hot and cold water lines were leaking on hot water tank, bath and shower facets, bath sink faucet, and cold water to commode. The front screen was out of front door. They said they would add factory air with thermostat in bedroom and all they did was add A/C with manual controls. The main A/C and furnace did not work. All tv coax outlets did not work. Pantry door would not shut. Recliner would not recline.I called camping world and they would not come get it, said it was my responsibility to bring it back. So I called a local RV place and they came out and picked it up and fixed all the issues. But I was out a camper for several weeks till they could pick it up because there was a waiting list on repairs so i had to wait several more weeks before I got it back. Used it a couple times and started getting shocked by camper. I traced it to the bedroom A/C. RV park shut me down so nobody would get killed. Even though I shut breaker off he was afraid something else could happen. So called camping world little rock again, again no help. So I cant use the camper for another month until I could get this other local RV company to come out to fix it. 5 people got shocked, luckly nobody was hurt. The wire had been cut into with a bracket causing the electrical shock. I called camping world and ask them to buy it back and I would even take a couple thousand lost but they wouldnt. Offer me to trade it in at a lot less what I bought it for and wanted me to finance $17000 more. They sold me a lemon just want my money back or a big rebate for what I have went through. But they are not willing to work with me. They don't even call to see if about the camper. They told me to call Heartland. I did, no help from them either. So I reccommend not to buy from Camping World or a Heartland. My satellite cable still dont work. I'm going back up this weekend and try stay once again, but I'm sure something else will go wrong. Does anybody have a corporate number I can call because Camping World will not let me talk to anybody higher up than the manager there at Little Rock and Heartland wont give a number to talk to higher management.

Multiple issues

Has anyone been involved with a class action suit against this particular location with lack of service and a brand new 80,000 RV having multiple problems with only two months after purchase? My contact information is 409-790-8442 if anyone has advice. I hate to hire a legal team but it’s about to happen.

First was a lemon, replacement has many problems.

We bought our Coleman camper in March of 2017. Soon after, we tried to go camping but the electricity didn't work. Our refrigerator food was ruined. We had electrician and handymen from the campground there for hours, while I sat outside with our children and dogs. We have a daughter battling Lyme disease, and faints often. Which requires a wheelchair and constant supervision. This was not an easy task as all of the dogs, did not like the strangers in the camper with my young children around. They informed us that our brand new camper was reading "hot ground" and it wasn't safe. We had to pack everything back up, with crying children and head back home. Upon further inspection of the camper, we realized that the underbelly was bulging, it looked like there was a leak or something and they sprayed the expanding foam so much that it was bulging and dripping everywhere. We checked other similar campers in the lot and none of them had this. Then we noticed the side of the fiberglass bubble up about 3 inches wide and the entire length of the camper. Our brand new camper spent the entire summer in Camping World. By the time August came, we demanded to have it returned as we missed the entire summer. They offered us a small rebate for the bubbled side that they couldn't fix. We didn't accept that, as it would get much worse, then chip and rust. They didn't fix the underbelly, they just scraped off the excess foam (it was still bulging) and said they did it as a courtesy. After much aggravation, lack of use and arguing, they replaced it in Sept. 2017 with a brand new 2018, but same model. We had to pay to re-register and pay taxes. Maddening! Now the new camper had a thermostat problem, the back stabilizer jacks didn't work at all, and neither did the USB ports. They refused to fix anything, even though it was under warranty. They said that they had too many appointments and were backed up for 4 months. They sent us elsewhere, but no one trusted Camping World to pay. We had to get the Attorney General involved and finally they fixed everything. We finally got it back about 2-3 weeks ago, and today I was putting linens away in the cabinets, for a upcoming trip and realized that a large pillow, in the cabinet was soaking wet. Water was leaking in, and going down the inside of the cabinets. I am disgusted and at a loss for words. Lawsuit coming.

Service is terrible

Took our class C RV in for leak in slideout, missing end cover for awning and hard to open entrance door. The manufacturer did not authorize replacement of linoleum which I didn't ask to be replaced. It is now four weeks and part has not been ordered. Have call service for update several times and each time am told the manufacturer has not approved the linoleum. Again I told them not to replace linoleum and to fix the three items I requested. Also after I call they said they would call back later with update. Never received any callbacks including today. Will never go to camping World for service. I am going to go pick up my RV and someone fix it because it won't be done by next week after the Holliday.

Deceitful sales practice

I made a written offer via email on a trailer from the Camping World of Northern Arkansas (Lowell AR) store on 2/6/18 in which my stated terms were $46,000 "Out the Door”; a common term used in the sales industry for inclusion of all tax, dealer preparation, and licensing fees.

On 2/7/18 I received an email response from David Martin (Sales Professional) stating that he had reviewed my offer with the General Manager and that it had been accepted.

My wife and I made arrangements to take a day off and we drove 4 hours from Oklahoma City to Lowell Arkansas to pick up the trailer on 2/16/18. During the review of our sales contract with David Martin and then with Michael Gipson (Sales Manager) we were lead to believe that Oklahoma State sales tax and registration fees were worked into the purchase price we had agreed upon.

Unfortunately that was not the case. Neither Oklahoma state sales tax or vehicle registration fees were paid and I didn’t learn that until attempting to register the trailer in Oklahoma. So I ended up paying an additional $2213.89 on top of what the total sale price was.

My wife and I have contacted the General Manager (Shawn Lynge) in an attempt to clear this matter up and have shown him email correspondence that my written offer was $46,000 “Out the Door” and that the offer was supposedly accepted by him. However, our attempts to resolve this issue have gone with no resolution.

I also contacted Camping World customer service and they simply said that complaints are handled by the General Manager for that store, so I ended up right back where the problem started.

I did receive a phone call from the General Manager Shawn Lynge to tell me, in a very condescending manner and I quote “I have a signed contract, if you feel that you need to seek litigation you go right ahead”. So I did and unfortunately he’s right, they have a signed contract.

Of all the research I did into the RV I wanted, I failed to read the reviews on Camping World the company. I fell for every one of the ploys and I got screwed out of a lot of money.

Go to Youtube and watch the video called "Camping World Reviewed: The Truth”. It’s about 20 minutes long, but eye opening. Unfortunately it comes to late.

Again, it isn’t about the initial sale where you were going to make your money, it’s the follow on sale of supporting equipment. $2213.89 is a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of money from sales of supporting equipment. I’ve already spent that amount in equipment from etrailer.com simply because of one persons attitude and lack of “doing what he knows is right”. It’s about being forthright, upfront and honest with customers when reviewing contracts.

Yes, you do have a signed contract. But I’m still going to do everything in my power to illustrate how shady your operations are. The cost of lost sales from your company website and the power of social media will definitely cost you more than $2213.89.

Service and Warranty

We bought a 2018 Sierra 379FLOK from Camping World of Wauconda, IL in February. Even though it was brand new, there were major scratches in the island counter top and other issues they needed to correct before we picked it up. We FINALLY brought it home on April 19th, only to find that the converter/inverter were not working and the batteries were also not holding a charge. In addition, bare wood exposed where carpet should be, broken door handle, main entrance screen door an inch too small for doorway, kitchen table gouged, etc. Brought it back on April 23rd and have continually had to call them to get any information. They finally tell me everything has been approved for warranty work, but it will take 5-6 weeks to get it all done! Keep in mind that besides the converter/inverter issue, the rest are relatively easy fixes. I don't believe they ever inspected the unit and they sure didn't prep it for pick-up! Still had wood shavings in cabinets and the entire unit was covered in dust from them buffing the counter top inside the unit. The kicker was that we were charged $10K (20% of the cost of the trailer!!) for warranties more than half of which we were unaware of! I take some responsibility for not insisting that the finance person (Debra is a smooth talker!) go over the sales contract line-by-line, but after 4 hours of waiting around and an hour drive to get home, we were anxious to get out of there. Once home, I noticed that she added a travel insurance that we said we did not want and she did not tell us about the actual trailer warranty, making it sound like it was a part of the roadside and tire insurance. Imagine my surprise when I saw an additional $5100 added on to the contract! Also, the warranty was for a 7 years and we were never given an option as to how long we wanted it for. I've never owned a camper longer than 5 years and 5 year contracts were available. Obviously a sales tactic to make more commission. I contacted the general manager, explaining all the issues we have had and he pushed me off to other people (never responded to my email), who didn't bother to contact me for 2 weeks. Even after a phone call requesting to speak to him, he never returned my call. Still have not received credits for warranties and still have no camper. I will never do business with Camping World again!

CAMPING WORLD OF ROBERTSDALE AL

Camping World of Robertsdale AL sells consigned RVs that do not have a clear title. I bought one on Feb 8, 2018 and no one explained that the trailer had no clear title. I paid cash. I expected to receive my Alabama title within the 3 to 4 week period that is normal.
I have repeatedly called to get information without response from them. I finally find out on March 15th that there is a lien on this trailer that had not yet been paid off by the original owner.
They deceptively failed to inform me that the owner owed money on the trailer when I bought it and have not kept me informed on what lengthy process will be involved to get a clear title in my name.
If the practice of selling vehicles with liens is not illegal, it certainly should be

Lied To!

We just bought a travel trailer from camping world in North Little Rock, Arkansas. We were told the sales tax would be included, but when they sent it to M&T Bank it was written up as if the additional $1,500 was for fees that we were never told about, until I called them back and talked to Bill. Bill tried to explain the total price of the camper without mentioning the $1,500 and when I pointed out there was still $1,500 unaccounted for and that should be the sales tax he finally mentioned these fees that he had originally avoided.

Customer Service

We first bought our 2018 17 ft Jayco from them and had it for 4 or 5 months and realize that we needed something larger. We looked around at all the dealerships and found a 2018 26 ft Coleman Lantern 262BH that was reduced $10,000.00. We asked why it was marked off so much and the salesman Joel said that it was sitting on the property for over 90 days and they have to start paying the note. Long story short we bought it and even had problems getting together to sign the paper work between us and the dealer. I was about to say forget the whole thing when I got a call from Brian he said he was the head finance manager. He said he would give us 100 gift card when we come in to make up for the trouble that we have had. So we come in sign our papers and guess what when I asked for the gift card he said he couldn't give it to us as they took a loss.
Now we have our first trip out in the freezing cold front that came thru and our hot water heater goes out after the first night. My husband made an appointment to bring it in on a Wednesday to have it checked as we had another camping trip planned and they said they couldn't look at it for two weeks, My husband said why didn't you tell me this and have me make and appointment and drive 1 hour away. So my husband told them we had a trip planned and we were leaving on Friday and they had to look at it. After he had a few words the finance manager told him to go have lunch and he would take care of it. After 3 hours he got a call to come get the trailer as it was fixed.
Now 2nd trip on the first night turned it on and it worked for maybe two hours that we know of and didn't work all weekend after that.
this was in January on Martin Luther King day and we drove straight back from out trip right to Camping World and dropped it off for the 2nd time. Never heard anything from anyone till exactly 2 weeks. They said it is the exnision on the hot water heater that is bad and they have to order a new one. So now this is going to be 3 weeks that they have this and still nothing.
We have had unusual cold weather and so my husband drained the water out of the trailer so that it wouldn't brake any lines. When my husband said to make sure that they add water before they do anything and George said that they are not responsible for anything if anything freezes or if they don't add water.
My trailer has been in there more that we have used it. Very discouraged and disappointed.

Extended warranty and so called $1200 prep fee to go thru our 5th wheel with fine tooth comb

First of all there tactics of going thru a trade in and coming up with rediculious money damage (talked to others they must be taught that in orientation) I bought 2016 forest river heritage glenn 337 bar Sept 15 2017 our first trip out Sept 29th we noticed main AC wasn't cooling like it should (outside high temps around 75 give or take a degree for week) inside during day camper wouldn't get below 77 with both ACs going and 2 fans. Next on way home had blow out got tire finally changed noticed other tire on same side had tremendous wear on inner part of tire. Climbed back home bought new tire from local tire and front end shop and told him the problem. He said sounded like axles were problem. After replacing the other worn out tire I take to camping world of Raleigh NC. It's still there (3 MONTHS) I've made no less than 50 phone calls between that location and corporate. I finally got them to put new tires on which they agreed to do before I even cared unit in. Initially they wanted me pay for the new axles to be installed (LABOR 41/2 HRS AT OVER $100 HR) dexter good willed axles no charge, all tires were shot including one I just put on! Finally they agree install for no charge as they SHOULD! But tires I'd have to pay for so again call Corp many times and again finally agree put tires on but I'd have to pay shipping o n tires and still pay $100 for shipping on AC which was messed up day one and claimed on my extended warranty! Get a call from gm at cw Raleigh NC Jan 11th JOSPEH every RUDE GUY! And basically said the camper is done and I'd owe them $200 or so (50 for AC insurance deductible 100 for shipping of AC and 50 or so for shipping of tires) he even threaded to take ac off tires off and axles off! Told him maybe I need to talk with a lawyer his response we have plenty of lawyers! Talk about customer service! We even reached out to Marcus Lemonis emails and Facebook but I guess long as stock is ok he doesn't care!

CEO insults all Trump supporter's

Dear Camping World long time customer here. I am forever ending my choice of using your lame company. Your moron of a CEO says he doesn't want any Trump supporter to use (his) store. O.K. I will cancel my credit card with you and I will never buy a mint from your worthless store. What kind of a baby insults 1/2 of their customers??? Your CEO is out of touch with the average American. What a fool. I'm guessing more than half of Camping World customer's are Trump supporter's due to the fact most liberals are too big a pussy's to camp. Screw Camping World! Grow-up you live in a Democracy and sometimes you lose.

Well again time to post

Well my 2016 spartan toyhauler- for about the 4th time now we returned our new purchased trailer to the dealer for repairs for warranty repairs. Each time they have had my trailer for over 2 months at a time. The most recent repair cost us 1500 to replace a Warrentied part that failed and guess what part covered but not the install or the damage caused by the failure of the warrantied part. So we take it out the day after the 2 month and 6 days stay at the camping world facility and now we find our trailer has been infested by mice. Evidence of fecis in our cabinet drawers and vents. No they did not come from our home parking-we have a dozen stray cats around our sheds and zero evidence of a mouse or rat ever!!! So I am just so happy that not only in the 1 1/2 years we have owned this pos they have had it in their possession for almost 10 months. Didn’t notice them making a single payment but I did get something out of it-yes infestation and mouse shit. Wow thank you camping world. Will never buy there again and it will not be retuned there for service ever!!! Do not get your repairs done there. And FYI the extended warranty does not cover a previously repaired item that was covered under the manufacturer warranty. So my question here is wth did I pay for and extended warranty ?? And now the addition of mice obviously from their facility. Run run run and FYI they have repaired this slide gear twice now!!! The same part failed twice.

2005 Gulfstream class A /Bought from Camping world

I bought a 2005 Gulfstream Tourmaster from Camping World in Harrisburg pa. As well as the near useless extended warranty.
I traded 2007 Damon Daybreak in that was in excellent condition. After dealing with telling me in was ready we continue to see problems with the Rv. Took about a month and a half. They had to fix many Items before we would buy Rv. Then when we went to do inspection and close deal they said Rv was completely gone over and good to go. Right that was a joke. When we took it home check engine came on and that when all went wrong. It had coolant problems, electrical problems and more. They had it for 4 months. I made 4 payments before we got it back. Then there somehow got damage to outside on the body they claim was there or knew nothing about it. Worst experience We ever had. To top it off went camping and lift jacks didn’t work they said they were fine at inspection. Right I took it to be fixed somewhere else to fix it extended warranty only covered a portion. Also had other problems. I could go on but it’s been over for awhile.

Want to Sue Camping World

Would anyone want to have a class action lawsuit against Camping World? We, too, are the unfortunate owners of an motorhome that we believed was given a clean bill of health when we drove off the lot, but once we did, we have broken down 3 times, all repairs major expenses, found mold, leaks, had to replace fuel pumps, hydraulic pumps, slide motors, water pump, all the batteries, air conditioner, inverter, etc. We got stuck in one state for so long waiting to get repairs done that we decided to get a job!

Now we are broken down again. We spent our entire savings from the sale of our home for the trip of a lifetime. We are both retired. But now, we need to go back to work to pay off the expenses we've accumulated along the way.

Camping World sold us a motorhome that they had to have known was not in good working condition. They painted the rv to make it look new and the paint is peeling off, too! It is a crime what these crooks do to people who have worked all their lives saving and doing the right thing only to be ripped off by greedy companies. Had I known how horrible these people were, we would have gone elsewhere.

If there is a way or there are people interested in a class action lawsuit, please leave a comment and where we can contact you.

Thanks. KW and JW

Service

We took it in with a leak on the front drivers side because the outside wall had a crack in it. They found another leak while doing inspection on a rear slide out on the passengers side in the bunkhouse. The 4 vent caps were to be replaced also. They had it 2 weeks when I called to see how it was going, George the Service Manager said he was happy I called they did not know whose camper it was. We had dropped it off the last week of April. After that call he said they would get right on it. The camper sat for 6 weeks, untapped and not put in a bay to keep rain off or out of it. I was furious and got told it was my responsibility to bring in the tarps and bungees to have the RV covered. No signs anywhere that state that, new building does not have it either. I bought the 2 tarps and bunnies )you do not get those back either because people steal, so it is their own employees I am guessing). When I got there with the tarps I was told I had to do it myself, I am disabled, so is my daughter. I told George you do not want me falling off that camper on your property, he said it was not his problem. My daughter went and got the General Manager Rob who actually made him Get Service people to tarp the unit. Now we got the heat and humidity after the camper is now all wet and mold starts growing inside where you can see it, I keep telling them there is mold where you can not see it. Next I get told Open Range is not sending them the parts. I called Open Range over by Nappanee, IN and got told parts were never ordered. This was in August. They finally ordered the parts, got the side on sometime the end of October beginning of November, we stopped in to see about the camper and was told that it would be ready last Friday. I told them I could pick it up Monday when my husband was home, they still had not fixed the vent caps. They were suppose to do some other work that I was paying for but not anymore. The gears for the front legs were needing replaced because the one on the passenger side does not go up and down and the light over the table needed looked at. They took the light down and now have lost the shades and screws, so the camper was left because it was not ready to go. George has told me the camper is not worth repairing. We have owned that camper 2 years this month, they have had it 7 months of those 2 years. They have left it to get wet, mold and Lord knows what else according to George and Rob not their responsibility. When they took it in it sure was their responsibility. The camper was last used last March and was not like that nor that way when we brought it to them. The refrigerator is also rusting inside, not like that either when they got it.
I am just furious, ready to get a billboard telling people to never use camping World and why
