Owe me a refund since February 2016

I made two visits to the St Petersburg office in January 2016; one for 413.99, the other 388.00. My insurance claims came back stating that Coast should have charged me $186 for each of these visits. Coast claims they did work that was not covered by insurance---they never asked me if it was ok to do so, and and I don't believe that they did. According to their own records they owe me $167, but they refuse to refund one penny. I am so furious at this unethical company! M

UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE ARROGANT LACK OF SERVICE

I, HAD BEEN REFERRED, TO A COAST DENTAL PERIODONIST, DR. QUINN, TO COMPLETE A SCOPE OF WORK, PRIOR TO DR. KATZ, STARTING HIS SCOPE OF DENTAL WORK. I, COMPLETED THE SCOPE OF WORK,WITH, DR. QUINN, RELAYED TO DR. KATZ. WHEN, SCHEDULING MY APPOINTMENT, WITH, DR. KATZ, I, SUGGESTED, WE START BY REPLACING THE TEMPORARY FILLING, PUT IN PLACE, BY: DR. QUINN. Upper teeth Crowns

WARNING!!! On Sept 1rst 2015 COAST DENTAL prepped my upper teeth for Crowns then during the process over filed a good tooth killing it leaving me in pain for nearly 2 months and they avoided my pain just saying it will go away, then the crowns came in for a horse twice, its Now Jan 1rst 2016 and I am living with all plastic cheap week temps on my upper teeth, Corporate Office Lisa Rodriguez said they are not going to finish them, they were supposed to be done Oct 15th 2015, They will not return my $9535 I am severely PISSED, I waited years and years to have my teeth fixed and now I am Living a night mare, WARNING WARNING WANING COAST DENTAL WILL RIP YOU OFF EVERY WAY POSSIBLE!!! This review is solely my opinion of the services I received at this business, and my right to my opinion is protected by the 1st Amendment. No, I will not be bullied nor intimidated into giving up my 1st Amendment rights, no matter how mad you are about this, or any other review.
I will NEVER go to a Coast dental office again. From the minute you walk in the door, it seems that it's all about MONEY. Specifically, how much of yours they can get. They will try to push the most expensive procedures on you they possibly can, then act like they are doing you a favor by "getting you started today". What they are really doing, in my opinion,is getting a hand in your pocket before you can change your mind and go somewhere else. If you do decide to go here, be sure and check the bill. They overcharged me and only fixed it when I explained the difference between a molar and an incisor to the office manager!

Update-Just got a call from the irate office manager in question. She said she "doesn't remember" overcharging me. Of course she doesn't, but I do have the corrected bill to prove it. After listening to her rant for 5 minutes about how "our prices are in line" with other area dentists, I hung up the phone. I agree with her on that point. It appears to me, that Dentists are getting the same reputation as lawyers these days because 90% of them seem to be in it to squeeze as much money as they can out of their patients. As for the cost, I still have the bill, and in order to be fair, I will add that 3 root canals and 3 crowns were $4,500...and this was what I had to pay even on a dental plan. This is about half what I paid for my last car. Reasonable charges? You be the judge.

Insurance Fraud Scammer

Dr. Stevie at coast dental is nothing more than a SCAMMER plain and simple. I am on Medicaid and the soaked them for every dime she could take them for and then tried to soak me for $12,000.00. She said I had periodontal disease, I needed a scaling process that cost $1,500.00 12 crowns and a special deep cleaning and when she found out I was on Medicaid she threw down her tools and told the assistant WERE DONE HERE..... and left the room and said she was not willing to do what the insurance covered because it was not worth her time WOW she soaked Medicaid for 2 visits and x rays on both visit and never touched my mouth after she found out I was poor and could not pay her for all the extras SHE IS A REAL PIECE OF WORK I am filing a complaint with the insurance and also the BBB EVERYONE THIS PLACE AND DOCTOR IS A PURE SCAM I went to another dentist and they said I had no need for any of the things she was wanting me to do. I have no periodontal disease and only need one crown and a filling. SCAMMER

Office Fraud

I would like to report the office staff, The dentist at this location is the best one I have ever had work on me. Dr. Prescott is an amazing dentist, He should really be on his own. He would be SO successful. It is his head office GYPSY. Details are going to the corporate office in the morning

I was approved by their Care Credit for work that needed done on myself and my husband. We had insurance that gave discounts, not copays. BUT This office manager said for each of our visits, you owe 150,00 today for us then the rest on the credit? REALLY? I called and not only did I not get my discount, but she ripped me off and pocketed all the cash I gave her for our appointments. FOR REAL! The credit company said that's not how it works, it all gets added to the finance company! So this B____, got at least 500.00 cash from us. She wouldn't let us leave the office until we paid what she said. she wouldn't take debit cards or checks--no, That would be a paper trail. She's been doing this a long time, now I see how people like her makes money. My guess she shares it with the office workers because they are all in on it.

I don't think the Dr is aware. But I am 58 years old and I've been to a lot of quack dentists, THIS Dentist is the real deal, it's the STAFF THAT SCREWED ME.

Rude push expensive treatment office dirty

It took an 1 1/2 hours for a xray and oral check and for a heavy handed upsale of deep cleaning. I walked out after I refused to follow their recommendation and they refused service. I will bullied into any thing,. The office dirty I would not ahve taken my dog their for treatment let alone let these people mess with my teeth.

bait and switch

I am very upset at the way you people handle customers. I have been told you will contact us and try and resolve as of yet nothing has happened mean while I suffer because I cannot get the work done. You have charged my account which I put a dispute last monday. Your office said they would follow up and see if we can get resolved. AS of now your company has charged my account for 3750.00 I have not authorized this as it was suppose to be a consult and then go from there. Well the dispute is in place and I have stopped payment. We can resolve this in a professional manor or I will procure an attorney to infact take this to court if necessary. I will proceed if not contacted with in this week. I am a very fair man until I was informed that your office said there would be an additiinal charges of 9871.00 on top of what you charged me on my credit card of 3750.00. At this point please issue a credit to my account or have your office Plant City office issue a credit. You have lied and have told me wrong information. You are running a scam as it seems. This will not go away as it is just plain crooked

Ripped off!

I've left 3 messages with the corporate office since Tuesday,April 16 re: a complaint I have. So far no one has responded so here it is for all to see.
I was recently referred to Dr.Aurelio, a Coast Dental Endodontist in Tallahassee by Dr Morgan Ellis of Lake City, Fl to look at a tooth she did a root canal & cap on this past May 2012 as it was giving me some problems & she was unable to determine what should be done. I drove 200 miles round trip to this office and spent 3 or 4 minutes in the chair while the dentist looked at my tooth & xray and they made copies of my referral and 3 year guarantee for this work, then charged me $119.00. What good is the guarantee if a 3 minute visit to look at this tooth costs this much money?? This is on top of the $60.00 in gas I wasted.
I am very disappointed in this service and if I can assure you that if this charge is not refunded to me, I will not be the only patient they lose as I will spread the word over the internet as well as the local newspapers so everyone will know what to expect from this outfit.

refund

I was told I would be getting a full refund. I attempted to get dentures and was not able to get them made properly. I have been dealing with this problem since July 2012. I have spoken with Matty in Deltona and Lisa in the Tampa office and was advised by both that I would be getting a full refund. I was told by Matty on 1-10-2013 it would be 8 weeks then 14 weeks and then 16 weeks. On April 10th 2013 it will be 16 weeks and I have not heard a word from Coast Dental. I want my refund now. I have been more than patient as I started the whole process on May 9th 2012.

getting a promised refund

I was told by the office manger in Deltona office and by Lisa Tampa Florida that I would be getting a full refund after many problems and delays dating back to July 2012. I spoke with Matty on 1-10-2013 and was told 8 weeks, then I was told 12 to 14 weeks. April 10 will be 16 weeks and I still do not have my refund. I want and answer as to why I have not gotten my refund .

Fraudulent billing

Went to Dr Arena in 2010 for exam. Was told I had a leaking filling and that I would need a bridge on the affected tooth. When given a care plan I told them I could not afford the work to which I was told they had a payment plan I could apply for, which I was turned down for. I asked them to submit it to my insurance for pre approval. They then emailed me a new care plan which was cheaper and assured me my ins would pay for. I agreed to pay them $1100 to start the treatment. On arrival to the office I was told I had to pay the money first which I did. Dr Arena came in and drilled the tooth and ground down the other tooth and put on a temp bridge in about a half hour. After sitting there for an hour or so she came back in and informed me that to proceed I would need a root canal and gum surgery before she could install the bridge, and that since I was taking plavix I probably would not get the surgery done unless my cardiologist would allow me to stop the plavix for several days. I explained to the dr that I did not have any more money and that I was still in bankruptcy so their was no way I could continue. I spoke to the office manager about refunding some of the money I already paid and was told I could not get any due to I signed a care plan and they would not refund it. Now in July 2012 I get a collections notice saying I owe another $1200 because my insurance did not cover it eitheir. Of coarse they never did the bridge or anything after the original prep work to 2 teeth that I had to have removed by another dentist in 2011. All the office can tell me is I started treatment and I owe the entire balance whetheir they did this work or not.
Total scam! I will be getting an attorney as soon as I can afford to go to war with this fraudulent company!

I read the reviews after I made the appt for my husband and almost cancelled I should have. My husband is 62 years old and had not been to a dentist in 20 years. they said his teeth were not bad. then they proceeded to finish the exam and hand him an estimated bill that amounted to over $6, 000.00 dollars that our insurance did not pay. The statement also said that was an estimate and could end up more. All we want is for them to take care of the teeth that were bothering him and maybe a cleaning. I guess he does have some periodontal disease so they want to laser his teeth and give him all kinds of treatments and come back every 3 months so they can do whatever. I guess you know we are not going back, I will be lucky to get him to go to another dentist. Thanks Coast Dental you really didn't help. Thank You to the people who wrote reviews for because of them I told my husband not to sign any papers until I saw them. I didn't want him to commit to anything but I shouldn't have worried because when he saw the bill he came out and said there is NO WAY!!! I would not recommend them to anyone. They have the worst customer service from the office all the way up to their Corporate offices

Customer Relations

I had an appointment 12/18/09, at 12:10, when I arrived at 12:03, I was informed my appointment had been given away since I did not call and confirm. On 12/17/09, there was a message left on my home answering machine stating I needed to call and confirm my appointment by 5PM. I did not get home from work or receive the message until 5:10PM. I promptly called the number provided and left a message to confirm. I have been a patient of Coast Dentist, Fleming Island, Orange Park, FL for two years. In that time I have NEVER missed or been late for an appointment. The dental office has my work number they could have called me there. Better yet they could have called me two days prior to my appointment thus giving me one day to respond. As I previously stated I have NEVER missed an appointment so there was no reason to believe I would not arrive for this appointment. Needless to say I will not use Coast Dental in the future as I think this is very poor practice and poor treatment of a reliable customer.

Customer Relations

I had the same thing happen with my appointment. I showed up and they told me that they called me to reschedule it. I had no missed calls or messages. However, this would of been the 3rd time that they rescheduled me. I explained that I had taken time off of work to make this appointment. They told me the "hygienist" would squeeze me in. After waiting almost an hour, they fit me in. To my surprise, the dental assistant did my "cleaning", not the hygienist. I did not got x-rays like I am supposed to get. I had to pay $45 out of pocket to get my teeth polished. They did not floss my teeth and no fluoride. I have a cavity that I did not get looked at. I have gum recession that they "fixed" for me. They made it worse and was told I could have lost my teeth because of their "fix." And it never fails that I end up getting a bill from them. I check my eob online and there is never even a claim filed with them. They are a rip off!! I could write pages on my bad experiences with these people. I am changing my dental insurance and will be getting a new dentist.
