Cancellation of Flexi Club Contract

Membership number:026042 - I have been a member of flexi club for many years and have paid off the initial points bought many years ago. I cannot afford the monthly levies and also feel that you do not get your monies worth. The points sold to us was so little that I can scarcely do anything with it. When you do want to book something, they do not have availability. The odd weekend or mid week break taken over the years could have been paid for in cash for much cheaper then the levies raised and paid.

Only reason why I am still paying was because of being told several times by Flexi-club employees that you cannot cancel your membership. No one wants to buy the points either. I am a single mom of 3 and can definitely not afford it any longer.

Further to this I am now living in Australia and am not planning on returning to SA. Do I just stop my debit order and be sued? What if I do return to SA and then have bad credit records?

I am an honest citizen trying to keep up what I can, but it has it's limits.

It has been blood money paid duly each month. Anyone interested in having the points. You are welcome. Anyone that had a successful outcome on getting rid of your membership. Please let me know.

cancellation

i have been trying to cancell the flex club membership but i was told that i cant the person who came to my work place didnt inform me and the others that we can only cancel after a week. and the consultant told us how much amount we have to put on the contract. after paying for 2 mnonths i found it hard to keep up with the monthly instalment because iam in sales and my salary depends on comission. i then put an stop on the debit order at my bank. when i tryed to called Ralph the consultant his no didnt exist anymore.i was dissapointed when i was told i cant cancell this contract. my plocy no. is 771093.may please be assisted to cancel this because now i really cant afford it as im now a single parent.the consultent only gave me and my colic a good side of it but may i please ask that in future the consultant please inform clients rightfully before they make them sign.my email address is nonhlanhlam@cmh.co.za my name is Prudence N.Mkhize. iam getting letters now but when i first called the pinetown offices to cancell i wasnt assisted i was only turned down and knowing that it will be problem for me.my cell no 0743079696

flexi club scam

Hi all, I only subscribed this year 2014 and already have numerous problems.
For starters, I'm paying for something that I don't know what...I havnt receive any welcoming package, letter or any other correspondence.

My husband and I used a free voucher at one of their resorts in town. I spoke to a guy from flexi club who's office was situated there. I explained to him how I struggled to get hold of the people to make the booking of the voucher. I also informed him that they would've posted the welcoming package but up to date havnt receive anything.

So we told him that we also spoke to a friend who is stuck in this club and told him this is not what the people told us. I opted to cancel and he said we can at any time on letter to cancel. We can contact him for further enquiries as the offices in Canal Walk closed.

Now we struggle to get hold of him. My friend said they will blacklist us. I even withdrew all my funds on my account in last month for deduction to reject with the hope also of getting a call, but up to now nothing...

I feel so lost and losing all this deductions for nothing.

cancellation of contract

I Joined Flexi Club in 2013.I was Told by Rani Naidoo that the contract can be cancelled at any time.I contacted them & explained 2 them that we want 2 cancel & they told me that we should have cancelled within 5days of registration & that this contract is 4life.This was NOT explained 2 us during the presentation.They deducted monies from my wife’s account & we closed that account.My wife got a great job opportunity 2 go work overseas but things did not work out & we came back 2 SA in March 2014.Only certain information was explained 2 us about the agreement,Rani did not disclose 2 us all the costs that are involved 4 being a member 2 this club,they misrepresented everything.
We have never used their facilities & never been on holiday & they expect us 2 pay.
They are harassing me at work..We reached out 2 VOASA 2 help us with this problem but they also told us we must pay & flexi club told them they gave us all the information & that is FALSE.We were promised by the RANI that flexi club will buy back the shares if we wanted 2 sell. I feel that flexi club advertised false information 2 us.WE RECEIVED A CIVIL SUMMONS 4 THE OUTSTANDING AMOUNTS OF R53000.TELL ME HOW DO u WANT US 2 PAY 4 SOMETHING WE DIDNT EVEN USE OR GET?

Cancellation of Flexiclub Contract

I received my flexiclub points as part of an employee incentive scheme at work. At the time I was very concerned about the annual fees & user charge but was assured by the salesman that the fees were very low. Well, as you all know, what liars. I have never once used this so called benefit because you can never get accommodation at any decent resort. For the past 12 years I've done nothing but pay exorbitant annual fees for nothing, making the directors of this despicable company super wealthy. I was told by others in this predicament that the only time they look at contract cancellations was between January and March or May of the year. I logged a call to cancel my contract at the beginning of this year (2014) to which I received the standard auto response to all calls logged with their call centre..."your call is being attended to". I sent a number of follow up mails & received the same response. Then I received a call to say they would consider my cancellation when the board met. Surprisingly (NOT), they couldn't tell me when the board would meet. Needless to say, I have received my annual fees notice for a whopping R14082.00. I simply do not have the funds to pay this money over for nothing. I regret the day I ever won employee of the year. All I want is out. I don't care anymore about the points and I will never recoup the money I've lost to this awful company. This is exactly how they operate...ignore your complaints & requests until their annual fees fall due, then tell you that they won't look at any requests until your subs are paid up in full...despicable.

Flexi Club a rip off

I transferred Flexi Club from my uncle & have been regretting ever since. The fees are crazy & increase annually. There is no way to get rid of the timeshare. I am in arrears of part 2013 fees & now am expected to pay R12 000 for the year 2014.
I have not been able to get bookings to places I would like to go to as it is always the wrong time to call or they are fully booked. I cannot afford this ridiculous fee just for timeshare that I never get to use anyway.

CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP

Hi there my name is Boikanyo Jantjie i joined flexie club from 2012 they told me lies when they were selling themselves to me.they even told me and my wife that we can cancell anytime but only to find out that is not that way.I ve been trying to cancell my contract with them but they refuse.They are debiting R2400 on our Bank acc last week they called to tell me that i must set another debit order for the amount of 900 of which will be for the Bond.is the anyone who can help out there please this people are ripping us off .

i was missled and i want to cancell

I'm kgomotso Radebe and I have deposited R17 100.00 to flexible club and bought 1500 points.that was on the 28/08/2008.The agent who recruited me did told me that my points would be converted into shares which would be listed to JSE IN 2009 I started receiving letters demanding payments of R2300.00 that was when I smelled the rat. I wrote a cancellation letter even now to date I only receive threatening letters for me to make payments amounting to more than R5000.00.I always asked them for what? Cause I never used any of their services instead they're having my R17 100.00

My husband and i have been trying to cancel our membership since 2010 but we have not received any help at all. this is one of the most expensive holiday clubs i know, that is why they will not let us get out of this thing. trying to cancell membership of flexiclub

I traded in my timeshare that I had bought over the years at considerable cost a number of years back for flexiclub points, the annual levy kept getting higher & higher and we were very dissappointed with the service regarding availability of accommodation we kept requesting details of how we could escape from this money wasting trap but they would not accept our requests to resign our membership we tried to sell the points through the contacts we were given and kept paying the levy year after year. Selling them is not possible nobody wants them they are a liability. They ignore your requests to resign and keep telling you you must pay another year and another and so on. I told them I had lost my job and could not afford this expensive luxury, they are not interested.

Flexi Holiday Club Cancellation ignored

I have an even more similar situation. I was told that if i sent a fax confirming cancellation within 5 days, the contract would be cancelled. Of course they didn't cancel it, and after nearly two years started calling me for money. They then wanted me to show them the fax i sent. Who would keep it for that long. Anyway, it's 2014 now, and i received a summons. What more, my wife from whom i was divorced at the time, is also being summonsed, she didn't even sign the contract, she wasn't even in the company. I feel it's corruption, and it's being done "legally"
I feel we as South Africans need to stand up against this sort of exploitation. The consumer complaints board also seems to be doing nothing about it. So maybe it's time for the little guy to stand up and do something about this. Times are tough, but South Africans are too complacent, we accept things way too easily.

Flexi club debakel

After I paid my original amount in full many years ago and all my levies many years after that, I decided to call it a day with these fraudsters. According to their rules I paid my levies in full three years ago before i notified them that I plan to cancel my contract, 100% according to their rules.
Up to date they have harassed me and my family worse than a terrorist organisation. I will not pay any more levies an they can take me to court if they want to.

Flexiclub Annual Increase

Hi There
I would like to know if anyone has ever managed to sell there flexiclub points?
This year their annual increase is 17%!! It is absolutely ridiculous.
Just a warning to would be investors steer clear unfortunately I also got trapped years ago and tried to get out when I realised all the lies I was told. Went to the timeshare regulators etc and basically was told I was lying. Have been stuck paying ever since.
It is a positive that flexiclub have linked up with various other timeshares like RCI now so there are far more resorts available. As we are living overseas now we are hoping we can actually use it.
Still I think an increase of that size is completely unacceptable and I want to get out it that is what we are going to be looking at every year.

No way out!!

Have tried to cancel my membership twice with no success. Last time was Aug 2011. Declined and told to pay R5688.16 for 2012 levy and resubmitt application between Jan and 1 May 2012 for it to be reviwed. No job, poor health no go. This is not acceptable.

No way out!!

Hi Everyone who is interested!

I am in that boat of being abused by Flexi club myself. i have howver spoken to a lawer friend who trapped herself into timeshare about two years ago, after paying up her debt of the points, she was still obligated to pay the annual resort refurbishment charges which continuouly rise. My cousin just stopped paying the annual fees and they have - as they threatened - listed her on ITC, with description as "Slow payer". She didn't mind this "label" because when she purchased a vehicle and took out a personal loan at a bank one year later, they approved her credit. Even though she was listed, they said everyone knows of this timeshare scam so it doesn't count against you getting credit. So i am doing just that! i am not going to pay my 2012 fees and every other year after that! TO HELL WITH FLEXI CLUB!! And i think we should all use this approach and they WILL LOSE MILLIONS AND GO BANKRUPT!!

But they can debit when and what they want off your acc and if you phone and ask to cancel they have the cheek to ask if I did reed my contract what he hell if they red it defiantly not after about 8-10 mishaps from their side still you cannot get rid off this junk I which I never bought this and will make sure no one I know do this we joint only in April 2011 and if I red all this before I would have newer got in such a mess. Some one must stop these people I even never have used anything yet but still NO WE ARE STUCk. I meen really there must be something that can be done for this to becanceld what about the new consumer law .I tried to cansel this after 3 monts as my saly was decreased and dit not get increase so i could not affort this i have 3 little kids and now i always have to say sorry no money but why will they care.

victim of misleading information

I'm one of those people who has become a victim of such misleading information

First of all I want to voice my disgust with Flexi Club consultants who go out and do presentations to potential customers on false premises. I'm one of those people who has become a victim of such misleading information. In December 2010, I was called by a consultant of Flexi Club. She used the Port Owen premises and gave me a business card from another consultant - Winnie Nel. But the lady who presented the special to us gave her email address: iqrah.solomons@yahoo.com Needless to say that I don't get any response on this email address.

She scheduled a meeting with myself and my husband on a Sunday during our holiday at Port Owen. She told us that flexi club is running a special package for valuable customers (as we already belong to Flexi Club and already own points) So therefore we qualify for this perceived special, we were required to pay what was said to be a once of fee of R 3863 and a service fee of R1660 (annually) less R600 discount for members who pay via debit order. So we signed a debit order form for this annual fees of R1060. She told us that the other figures reflected on the contract were not part of the special, therefore they will not have any bearing on the deal, but the form they use was just a standard form.

In March I got a call from one of the consultants asking for a payment of R171.00 that was still due, I then question the amounts that she was referring to. She told me that this was a short payment of what we paid that day. I have asked her to send me a statement and bank details so that I can sort this out.

The next month they called me again about a monthly payment of R2890 that did not go through per debit order. I told her that I don't know about any further costs and I surely don't know about this R2890.00. She told me that this is a monthly payment for 11 months as per the contract we signed. I told her that we did not sign for any additional costs, as we were told by Iqrah Solomons we only had to pay a once of payment of R3863 and for the next year Flexi club will use our points as the need points for other members. By doing this our account will be credited. Also with this special we will receive 4 free weekend away holidays as she has to give them away. This we haven't received either !

When I checked my bank statements I saw that there have been two deductions from Flexi Club in April'11. One of R3263 and another R2890.00. In May one of the ladies phoned me again and I told her that I am still waiting for a copy of that contract and the signed debit order where we agreed to pay R2890.00 for 11 months, because I know we haven't signed for any of these amounts. I informed her of my intention to cancel and she told me it cant be done. They will summons me and I have to go to court to state my case.

For May I have stopped the debit order and emailed Iqrah Solomons to contact me and explain to me why she sold us a special with a once off fee, if this was actually false information and illegal. But I have not received any reply from her, so I believe the email address she gave me was also false. All I have is a business card of Winnie Nel from Port Owen, where the deal was done.

I want to know why Flexi Club send consultants to use false premises and give false information to people and when we query this, no one is able to assist and sort this out.

I request that this false contract must be cancelled and the two debit orders in April taken out of my account must be refunded. And I still request a copy of the signed contracts and debit orders where it states that we will have to pay another R31 790, after we were told we only have to pay a once off fee of R3863.oo. I will take this to court if I needed be.

Winnie Nel, sorry to involve you in this, but your office and business card was used for this illegal sale.

victim of misleading information

Mine is only R11400 worth but we have to pay R4000 a year levy we have this crap for 12 years paid in thousands and never was able to have a holiday at the time when we needed to only to be told we have to invest in more points we pay more levy than what people pay for a house, we tried ITRA they want us to pay more money just to sell and get rid of it and we are pensioners.Flexi deducted every month from my account now that they need my permission to continue they are taking me to court for 2011 balance of R2, 2 22 to court the letter i got from the lawyer is this they were instructed me to pay the balance and was instructed to cancel the club, I dont mind the canceling but i am not paying a cent more .we are in court in this month of November.I have had so much stress my health deteriorated, i have hypertention because of Flexi club.Leisure club has many names, my friend bought into holland moorehouse for more than R30, 000 stress has killed both my friends now there children has this legacy they never went on any of these holidays.Flexi took over holland moorehouse and the story goes on.thank you estelle and ben +27761748146

I CONTACTED FLEXI CLUB'S OFFICES TO ENQUIRY WHY MY STATEMENT REFLECTS A SUBDSTANTIAL SMALLER AMOUNT UNDER USER CHARGES THAN WHAT WAS PAID OVER TO THEM. THE ANSWER WAS THAT MY MONEY HAD EXPIRED. KINLDY EXPLAIN TO ME HOW MONEY PAID OVER TO FLEXI CLUB AS PROVISIONAL USER CHARGES EXPIRES AND WHAT HAPPENS TO ALL THIS EXPIRED MONEY AS I AM SURE THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY MEMBER WITH EXPIRED MONIES???<br />
