On 31 August2023 I ordered blankets at home choice nd I didn't receive those blankets I'm taking afford.... By home choice does not see dat... So I'm supposed to pay for the things I didn't get... I have been calling home choice several times dey say I must make avidavit nd send it.. I already did that but nothing seems to be fixed.... Home choice is a scam.. Dey don't know how to work with customer or treat dem in a good way tnx in advance

Home Choice Warraty

I have a Home Choice Warranty which is worthless. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They make it difficult to get any claim covered and try to do anything to not cover a claim. I have a 26 year old hot water heater that they will not cover because the tank is not leaking even though the teck indicated that the water heater is not worth repair. The repair would cost more in time and effort than the hot water heater is worth. I would not recommend this company or there warrantys to anyone.

Fraud

I am Nompumelelo Manana and i have never received my order as i am being told that i have received it and signed for it. I did not sign for anything and did not receive any product from homechoice please check with your courier people ask them where they deliver the products because my order never reached my door step please homechoice clear my name i cannot be paying for a product that i have never received.

Fraud

I had placed an order at homechoice and when i called them today i was told that my order had been delivered and was signed for, and i have not received my order and dod not sign for it meaning someone signed pretending to be me, and i have been sent a statement to pay.

I cannot pay for a product that i did not receive
I want my account with homechoice canceled, this is an illigal activity

Telemarketing

Sick and tired of this company! I have NEVER bought anything from them nor will I ever! Apparently the POPI ACT does not apply to this company. They phone me on a daily basis and does not take no for an answer. When asking to remove my private number from their system, the sales rep asked for my ID number and personal details. Why in the world would anyone give personal details to a stranger. Horrible horrible store that phones every day multiple times and does not take NO for an answer!

DebiCheck

Good day,My name is Acwengile Tutu and I have an account with homechoice which has been handed over to a company named Blake. They called me and I told them I was in a bad space financially and I could only afford to pay R150 on the account. They then started deducting these R150 off from my account via debicheck. I then decided to do an additional debicheck on the homechoice portal of R500 in February 2022 so I could try and reduce the debt, but to my surprise homechoice deducted R1224.86 which I never agreed on. I emailed them querying this matter and asking for a difference refund, but nothing has been done about this. I was told someone from the legal department would call me, but nothing! My worry is that this debicheck will again deduct this amount even this month, leaving me bankrupt and not able to carry on with my other responsibilities. Can you please assist me? Interest Rate increase from 17.50 % to 17.75 %

1 - The interest rate for December 2021 & January 2022 from 17.50 % to 17.75 % was not communicated on the statement in the yellow field used to notify customers of service fee & interest rate increases.
Mark Wagenaar advised that it was system generated and could not be resent electronically to me.

2 - In April 2021, my bank account was debited without my permission.

3 - Credit Life Insurance is automatically applied but no policy information or document is sent to customers.
Initially, in January 2021, the total value of the goods purchased was R4292. 55. I have paid a total of R4747. 92!
I have settled & closed my account and will never ever purchase anything from this unscrupulous company!

Interest rate increase from 17.50% to 17.75 %

The interest rate increase from 17.50 % to 17.75 % was not communicated by HomeChoice on the monthly statement prior to the increase for December 2021 & January 2022.
Mark Wagenaar claims it was system generated therefore no copy of communication could be resent electronically to me. It's strange, as increases in the Service Fee & February 2022 interest rate increase is visible on the statements in the yellow field below the'Current Balance' amount.
I believe this is unethical & 0.25% applied across the broad customer base amounts to a substantial value.

RUDE CONSULTANTS

I called homechoice about the quilt that i have bought from them, a week into using it I realized that the pillow case was torn. I called homechoice and spoke to a lady called QOLO. I was told that without the original package my query will not be solved. Homechoice consultants are only kind when they want us to buy, but when is their turn they are so rude and inconsiderate. Now i am stuck with a torn quilt just because i lost the plastic that was carrying it .Their products are just as bad as their service.

ITC

Homechoice sold my account to Nimble Group but still listed me on ITC so it's as if I owe 2 different companies for the same account..and I have paid Nimble in full and received paid up letter they also removed my name from ITC however homechoice is giving me run arounds,sending from Piller to post to remove my name from ITC..I have also decided to escalate this matter with OMBUDSMAN.

Rude & non cooperative Agents/consultants

The service from your company is worrisome;
(a) I wrote an email in April 2021 to find out fees which are added at anytime of the month. I made a telephone call I was let to await or hold on for more than 3 0 minutes without being helped. I asked my husband to mail my concerns which piled up and faced with rude consultants or agents - racists and making discriminatory remarks.
(b) One of your employees who I assumes works in the order dept replied, but the I did not take kind of the reply. My husband was tokened as a third party. We called the same words were used by Candice Rittels that no information will be divulged to a third party and my husband myself tried to explain but nothing no feedback was addressed to us.
(c) Recently my husband receives annoying calls when he is replying that somebody stays mute not answering and immediately dropping the call. My husband addressed this concerns with Candice Rittels since she responded when my husband asked for information relating to payment of the account. And my husband ask her to tell those who are calling to put a stop because this will result that charges be added to the account for no reason.
(d) My husband tried to put this complaint in one of your mail addresses last week.
(e) I think it will be within my rights to approach any consumer body which deals with the concerns of the cunsumers or I will need an advice from the ofice of LEGAL AID SOUTH AFRICA. As he read complaints from other customers it looks as if Homechoice does not have genuine customer care department or it is a manipulative company - with this practice in mind that its employees are at will to harass or intimidated the poor customers.

According to the NCR regulations an agreement document must posted to the customer after delivery of goods but nothing was sent to me. why I do not know maybe it is the policy of Homechoice.

I trust and hope Homechoice will do the honourable thing of counselling its employees for poor performance on customer care principles and save your VALUES which are dented by these bad employees.

Undelivered order

I ordered a bedroom duvet set from.homechoice in December 2020, never received the ordered items I informed homechoice after getting invoices.
Communicated with them they told me to forward an affidavit I send it twice now they have send me to debt collections and credit bureau
Their fraud departed does not respond to my emails but a lady by the name Zandile Mcinga from support says it is still under pending investigation since February 2021 but the fraud department does not respond to my queries.

Unfair blacklisting

I ordered through facebook and a sales consultant called and interviwed he concluded that I didn't qualify. There after I was called to pay my Account yet I never received anything.I replied in this regard a certain Lady apologized and asked me to order again I said no since I was still earning 1500 per month. You want affidavits for what because this is your fault.

FRAUD

Hi, I have a fraudulent account which was open under my name and homechoice has been harassing me about this account which I know nothing about (Ref 271024282). They asked me to send my ID document and an affidavit from the police which I have done almost 3 weeks ago now and still nothing has been done. I keep on getting sms's and phone calls from their debt collectors and its really annoying me.

Just by reading comments about this company (Homechoice), it seems like this opening of fraudulent accounts is a common theme. I am starting to think that the company itself is opening these accounts. This is absolutely pathetic. Does this company even have ethics???!!!!

HOMECHOICE NEEDS TO CLEAR MY NAME IN ALL THIS AS IT IS EFFECTING MY CREDIT SCORE!!!!

cancelled order

I am deeply disappionted in Homechoice. They are trurly fraudsters and incomponent people. I ordered an black friday specials i received an sms saying parcel is on its way ,in december im still waiting for the arrival of the special .I called there call centre which mention the parcel ended up in Durban because the consultant who captured my details captured my details incorrectly.i have been to there shop in Mitchells plain numerous time where I have been told my account will be credited within five days. Almost four months down the line I am stll being billed for an parcel I havent received ,they are quick to call to find out when payment will be made But cant sort out your query how bad for service delivery. Can someone please assist to help me take this matter further because i am irrated at this point. I would not recommend them to anyone .Really bad bad service delivery. And they must make sure there consultants can spell when captuing information , fools really fools!!!!

bad service

I TOOK ITEMS IN SEPTEMBER 2020 TILL TO DATE HOMECHOICE NEVER ATTEMPTED TO DEBIT IN MY ACCOUNT. THEIR STUPID SYSTEM KEEPS ON CANCELLING DEBIT ORDERS NO ONE IS WILLING TO ASSIST I HAVE WASTED AIRTIME TRYING TO CALL IN AND REQUESTED FOR A MANAGER AND TEAM LEADERS TILL TO DATE I WAS NEVER ASSISTED. THE CALL CENTER IS A CIRCUS NO ONE TAKES CUSTOMERS SERIOUSLY AND WORSE NO ONE CALLS BACK .

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM HOMECHOICE I WOULD NEVER RECOMMAND IT TO ANYONE AND FROM HERE AM GOING TO HELLOPETER TO EXPOSE YOUR INCOMPETENCY.

Returned order

Good day

I would like some assistance with homechoice please.

I was called on the 2nd of October 2020 was offered a 14 piece bedroom tropical set. After 30 Min of being offered the bedding set I sent a text to have my request cancelled.

I was told order was ready for shipping I should not accept the order upon delivery then everything will be fine. On the 22nd of October order was delivered, the order was returned with the deliver guy as per instruction.

To my surprise the 25th of October I was debited, I sent an email to notify them and I was told to send an SMS and sms the word return, I did that. I sent the email to make sure the request was successful. No response, I even went and laid my complain on hello Peter, I was called and asked when the order was returned, I asked the person who called me to hold on while I check. The person hung and did not come back to me.

I was called again and asked why my account was in arrears and I told them the order was returned but they still debiting me and their account is on my credit report.

No one has called me to notify me if their order was returned and account removed from my credit report.

I would like some assistance please with this matter because homechoice is not willing to get to the bottom of this. I tried calling their customer service number and nobody answers the phone, I have sent numerous emails no response.

May I please be assisted with this matters since homechoice is not willing to help me.

SETTLEMENT LETTER

Two years ago I was laid off from work and struggled to make timeous regular payments against my account.I made it a point to let homechoice know of my struggle and tried best to make payments whenever I could.I got a job late last year and tried to push arrears on my account until my account was handed over during the Botswana lockdown.

In an attempt to protect my credit record,i managed to source funds to clear my home choice balance as soon as i could and i have been struggling to get my settlement letter since.

It was on several occasions that i spoke to Mrs Zandile Mzmcinga in an attempt to get assistance and she simply blew me off by telling me to deal with NRB when it came to settlement issues.I wrote to her and even attached statements and proofs of my payments but she didn't give me a time of the day.I have been calling and emailing NRB for weeks now and it's almost like the process is delayed intentionally as i was told i now had a balance of R300 which they couldn't explain since i knew i has cleared my account with Homechoice 2 months prior.

I'm pleading with homechoice to look into this matter because I have since asked for a statement from NRB which they are failing to produce and I'm put on hold all day or I'm told I would receive a call,which I never do.

PFS61318552 Not Delivered

Im Vuyokazi Mabongo Im confused and frustrated by home choice i placed an order on the 23rd August 2020 i received sms saying my parcel has been handed to fast-way couriers. On the 2nd of September i received a call from 0437220629 confirming my residence and on the 4th they even called and the representative calling said my parcel is on the way with the Courier from Umtata i waited till today dololo my parcel.Im so annoyed and sad because on the 24th September I recieved an sms saying they hope im happy with my with my parcel that is recently accepted by third party. I phoned them immediately to respond to the sms and wanted to know the third party who accepted my parcel because they never showed to my residence or even call when they have arrived in Mount Frere.I have done many attempts calling home choice to findout about my parcel cause the only the thing they say is they will contact me when they have full answers or investigated my quiry but i thing i have waited enough they dont call me they only send me statement. Can you please Home choice clear my name and stop sending me statement cause I dont owe you anything.

I HAVE NEVER ORDERED ANYTHING

I am Vuyelwa and was contacted by homechoice agents telling me when can i make the FIRST PAYMENT SINCE MY ACCOUNT IS OVERDURE.

I informed numerous agents that I have never ordered anything from homechoice on account and never will, this has now escalated to the point of me having a BAD CREDIT RECORD.

When I phone the agents they REFUSE to forward me to the manager to clear this, be careful people homechoice are FRAUSTERS .
