Hydroxatone, Luminique

I am a New Zealander. Clicked on ad for free sample of face cream, put in credit card no to pay postage of $1.99 (they charged me $2.98 three times). Tried to see T&C's but page unavailable. Then got 3 packages in quick succession - within 3 wks. Phoned company when I saw $141.89 down the bottom of each "this is not a bill" Invoice. Heart attack time!
Man at company was extremely evasive, talked in circles, would not answer my questions. After an hour I ended up hanging up, and rang my bank. After 3 phone calls to my bank, they finally agreed to close my credit card account and issue me with new one. Thank god! But even that took 3 phone calls. Why is it I am not in control of who takes money out of my bank? The bank are supposed to be working for me, not other companies. Hydroxatone, Luminique....watch out for those "free samples" of anything! Never again. PS) I notice "Doris" answered my call at the company (this is a name used, I think, like Jane Doe) when I rang to ask for return address. That was like pulling teeth. In the end she said "its on the invoice" (she thought I didn't have the invoice) and when I said "its a po box number" she had to say "well thats it then". Anyway, today I get an email from this company saying "keep the product...no charge". Let's hope so.

Scammed

I to fall for this scam, I also ordered the free trials but not online, I started to fill out the form but didn't go through with it but about an hr later this lady rings me to ask why I hadn't gone through with it, I said I had changed my mind, she convinced me I was making a big mistake as this was a wonderful deal, after a good 15min talking to her and her saying it was only going to cost me $4 for the Bellaplex and Luminque and if I cancelled within that month, I wouldn't be charged anymore, WELL behold, what a lie, after around 3 weeks I rang to cancel as these products didn't do a thing, I spoke this this guy who told me I still had to pay $140.00 regardless, I said NO WAY and he got so rude and kept saying I had to, I said but this is a free trial, he said nothing is free, couldn't get a word in, he was yelling that loud, after letting him vent out and calm down I said I would send it back, to that he stated that it would cost me, wait for it, OVER $100.00 to ship back, WTF, I said but it only cost $4 to ship to me, he replied you either pay $140.00 for the products or pay that for shipping, he said wouldn't you rather pay for products, I said GO TO HELL, you are threating me, I will go to media and make sure everyone knows what your company is doing, with that I hung up. the next morning I get email saying my account has now been close and I don't owe anymore money, but after reading lots of complaints, I have since closed my credit card as I don't trust them not to try deducting money, I don't know where theyre getting these people to say such good things about these products but have noticed that the ones that are saying it where posted over a year ago but its saying that its just recent and its the same people, so this is my experience, I am still outraged by it all

complete rip off that just keeps on going .....

I never ordered bellaplex or hydroxatone but have been charged thru the nose for both! I fell for another scam they now have under what must be another name(s) bellavita and eyetensive. Should you fall for this you are being sucked back into the whole hydroxatone scam. I am being charged repeatedly for something I never even got and cannot find a way to cancel them, theres no number or even a paper inside the package. When I got the eyetensive I unknowingly agreed to the bellavita as well and instead of a 30 day trial they started charging in less than two weeks. I contacted my bank and in less than a week they have attempted to charge me 6 different times! Each time they try my bank charges me 1.50 so they are systematically draining my account. Do not try any of this crap, its the same shat in a different bottle. BEWARE FOLKS, ITS JUST ANOTHER RIP OFF!!!

HYDROXATONE /BELLAPLEX scam

I too fell for this. I started completed the form for a free trial on facebook, when it asked for credit card details I did not carry on with the order. They then rang me and convinced me it was a free sample and I could contact them within 30 days if I did not like so I would not receive anymore. When I did this they said I owed 2 x $141 - I threatened them with the fraud squad as I was not informed of this. They said I could have them for half price and I declined and they informed me I would have to return the products, which I said I was happy to do. They then came back and said they had cancelled the order and I insisted on an email confirmation which did come through and looks like a template one, so must send them all the time. This has cost me a call overseas, despite them showing a NZ 0800 number - you have to dial 0 0800 which goes overseas.

getting stung for large amounts after sending for "test samples".

I also was sucked into this so called free samples for Hydroxatone/Luminex and got stung for the amounts for full jars and half empty Bellaplex and had to contact my bank to stop more amounts being deducted resulting in having to cancel my credit card to do so. The Commonwealth Bank was very helpful in getting me my new card very quickly and now they have a service for credit card holders where we can go into our account and put a stop on any international transactions on the credit card, in other words you can close the card off to these transactions and have control on what goes out and to whom, brilliant. You might want to contact your credit card suppliers to find out if they too are arranging this service it saves a heck of a lot of time and frustration in trying to stop these scum from ripping people off, they seem to be targeting NZ and Aust. The Commonwealth Bank seems to be aware of these scammers and have taken action for their customers. Well done Com bank.

Miracle Skin and Bellaplex

Please DO NOT order any risk free trial of any description that requires you to provide credit card details.

These guys are crooks and they send your info to other fraudulent companies that take money out of your account.

Products themselves are crap.

Bellaplex and Hydroxatone

I have had to close my bank accounts so that Bellaplex and Hydroxatone cannot take anymore money out of my account. because worst of all my bank couldn't promise that they could stop any future transactions from Bellaplex and Hydroxatone so I left them. I got stung $270.00 for a product that doesn't work.
Advise that you never buy into anything that says it's free and all you do is pay for the shipping because they then have your bank account details and CC'd. Even after I cancelled they took the money. I'm really weary now and I take full responsibility for my mistake and it will not happen again. Please beware.

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

I'm absolutely devastated over the disgusting display of what this American based company has done. Not only has it happened to me it seems from reading all the complaints. I went through the process of receiving my 'free trail' of the Luminex and Bellaplex. Not only did the luminex bottle come empty it didn't work in one little bit beneficial to my skin in the way they advertised it. MIRACLE CREAM MY ASS!!! Soooooooooo then I check my bank account and have had two unauthorized payments come out of my bank. I rang the company was quite polite until a rude, impersonal woman who did nothing but talk over the top of me telling me how wrong I was in every way. Her name is Doris on ext 247 and obviously has no people skills what so ever. I told her I hadn't even received the product, the money was authorized to come out of my account and could I ask please for them to send an email to my bank to have charges reversed. Customer service at its greatest right there NOT!! Was bluntly refused and was made to feel intimidated and insulted of the way I was spoken to.

I now have to cancel my card... Dispute the amount with the help of the Commonwealth Bank for my money to be returned. How are they allowed to do this?!?!? I am formally complaining to Facebook as this is where this misleading and detrimental ad has come from.

PLEASE LADIES DO NOT GET SUCKED IN LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BAD COMPANY. MISLEADING INFORMATION. SCAM

BellaPlex & Luminique

This is the first time I have fallen for a scam. I agreed to the free trial and distincltly remember clicking the 'do not continue to charge my account in three months' button. Little did I know that they would send a further 2 months supply which they began charging my account for. This is not my idea of a free trial. When I phoned them to complain they said that the fine print says I agreed to the free trial and 2 months supply which would be charged in equal installments and that I need to opt out beyond that. I said I want to opt out right now and not pay another 3 payments. Of course they were not so happy to let me out of it so I said "I will send the products back" to which I was told products cannot be sent back from New Zealand. I said then this was clearly never a free trail because you sent too much product and now you say I cannot send it back. To their credit they have agreed not to charge my account any further installments and that I can keep the products. Over the phone they gave me confirmation of cancellation numbers for both luminique and bellaplex. I am still waiting for email confirmation of this and I will be watching my account very closely.

Rip-Off ... Con

I'm lucky that I took precautions.
In NZ, with using a Debit Card, it's like using a Credit Card, but it has to have money in it.
So for Dick-Head Rip-Off people like these companies, you ensure prior to activating payment, that you only have the amount in your debit card account that is what they state is the amount for the product.
And Guess What??!!!
My Debit Card Declined!!!
So they were trying to charge a lot more (as all the complaints suggest) than what I had placed in the account.

Tip - Get a debit card and only have small amounts of money in the account that the debit card accesses to stop fleas like this company from ripping you off!!!

Go Well People

Luminique & Bellaplex

I have just noticed the advertisement for these skin products is exactly the same as one I got caught out with and used a photograph of the same woman. Although the products were marketed under different names (one of which was RVLT Anti Aging) the marketing ploy was the same - offering a free trial for a trivial amount and then sending mountains of the material with despatch notes with no price and extracting large sums from one's bank account for products which one had not ordered and had no idea what the price was in the first place. I did not even use my trial. When I sent them back a derisory refund only was allowed and money subtracted for "restocking". I tried numerous times to point out I had never put in an order for the stuff other than the free trial plus postage. In all they extracted £500 from my bank account and I managed only to get £130 back after much threatening. The name of the organisation was Sheridan Labs which had an English address for returns but was clearly an American organisation. I googled up the products to discover a list of outraged persons who had been tricked by this firm. However, I believed there were so many complaints that it had not dared to advertise again but then found exactly the same ad coming up again ostensibly under a "Good Housekeeping" magazine advertisement fronted by Sandra Bullock and with new product names Luminique and Bellaplex. Clearly they get caught - change the names and re-advertise in a new disguise. This firm must be stopped and women must be warned. They do not comply with any concept of fair trading..

refund please. you are stealing

I checked my bank statement and you have deducted further funds from my account without my authorisation. I did not set up a direct debit arrangement with you and what's worse is I didn't receive the product !!!!
I want a refund. How do I go about cancelling any authorisation the company hydroxatone thinks they have??

Bellaplex

I fell for this scam, which appeared on my Facebook page.
I believed I was signing up for a trial of this skin product at minimal cost. I never received the samples, and honestly, completely forgot about it. Two days age, 2 debits for $82 appeared on my credit card statement. I have still not received any products. When I tried to get in contact with the company, using all the contact methods on my receipt, I find none of them are valid, the email link doesn't link and I realize I have been scammed. Bastards.
BNZ Credit Card help desk has been amazingly helpful, but there is still the inconvenience of changing credit card numbers etc.
I will be much more gun-shy about buying things online after this fiasco. The only comfort is that I am not alone...
BEWARE!!!!

How to cancel your order

I decided to get the Bellaplex and Hydroxytone 30 day trial. I had to pay $1.99 for the priviledge.

When I was entering my details for the free trial (on their website) I noticed it said I would be charged and amount every month or 3 mths (I can't remember which). That box had a tick in it, so I removed that tick.

I did receive the 30 day trial product with a few extras as well. I tried the product but it didn't suit my skin. So I looked around for phone number to ring them. Every phone number I found was not actually their phone number when I tried to use those phone numbers. In fact, one company even has a message on their phone stating their company name, and also that they are not hydroxatone.

So I perservered looking on the internet and found a USA phone number to get the free trial. I rand that number and got Hydroxatone. I explained that I wanted to cancel the order and the guy said he was sales only, but he gave me the phone number of the service desk.

Phone USA 1800 480 0698 for the service desk

So I rang that number and talked to a service consultant and told him my problem. He cancelled my order there and then and gave me a cancellation number for the hydroxatone and another for the bellaplex while I was on the phone, and was very pleasant about it.

I hope this helps other people who are wanting to cancel their order(s).

Scammed

Cannot believe I have fallen for this. I honestly thought I was getting a free sample, $1.99, now I owe $279.00. I have just talked to some guy called Brad, said I had to pay them for the product sent. I asked what product I only got the free trial. He said it was a 30 day trial only and after that I had to pay. Where was this info online? How could I be such a dolt? Plus I used my daughters card. The bellaplex dispenser did not even work. I emailed them about it but received no reply. What miserable scammers. Right enough of the rant, off to tell my daughter and close an account.

Bellaplex

Made the same mistake that many of you did and clicked away for the free trial without scrolling down the screen to see what I'd signed up for! Silly me. Anyway, easiest thing to do is cancel my credit card that I used to purchase the "free trials", have just done. Hopefully this will stop any further losses. The credit card company will initial a dispute on the purchase too. I don't expect to see my $4.00 again but at least I will not be stung in the months to come.
If you make the same silly mistake, don't bother with the customer service phone number as all the lines were busy and you will just be asked to call again, yeah sure! Just cancel your card and learn a lesson, scroll down the page and read the blurb below. Buyer beware!

CANT CANCEL MY ORDER

From Australia. Ordered the free trials a couple of weeks ago, must have been sleep deprived or something. Stupid me did research after placing and order. Got a call last week at 7am from some guy claiming that my order for the Bellaplex hadn't gone through. He wanted my details so they could "complete the order". I told him that I don't give details out over the phone and he got really rude and arrogant about it but I refused to budge. After this and reading about other people's horrible experiences I changed my mind about getting these rip off products and called to cancel the order this morning at 5:30am West Aus Time. Waited on hold for about ten minutes. Spoke to a man called Jordan who was very helpful and cancelled the order/account for both Bellaplex and Hydroxatone. Asked him to send an email, he confirmed email address and said there should be a cancellation confirmation in my inbox [or possibly junk folder] within 24 hours. So we'll see if this solves the problem of the recurring payments [for the beauty program]. He told me my samples had arrived in the country and he extended the payment date so that when I recieve them I will have time to return them without being charged. But I have to wait until I receive them before I can organise the return - which I need to call them back about. So we'll see how this goes and will let everyone know. I won't be so stupid as to fall for scams again [can't believe I fell for this...I'm the most skeptical person out, about anything...wtf?]. I'm glad I found out about the fact they charge you for your "free" trials if you keep them. Best of luck to everyone else.

CANT CANCEL MY ORDER

I sent for the $1.99 postage, got the order and then noticed two lots of $75 gone from my account. The bank got this back for me but i kept getting this stuff sent to me. Got about 6 of each product now, it does absolutely nothing. I am 57 and no difference at all. They rang me and said i owed $200 odd dollars and they would get it out of my account, i said ok [it was cancelled long ago], kept ringing 3 times a day, i never answered. They seem to have given up now. I am in Australia.
