Unwanted Magazine subscription

I did NOT order this magazine. I called PEOPLE's subscription center, I was told to go to CANCELMAG.com to cancel this subscription. THAT is a bogus and unsecured site.

The recording also said that the subscription was free, never billed to me, and was a "gift" from one of their "partners." If I knew which "partner" gave up my address, I would never do business with them again. I have written a formal letter of complaint (registered with return receipt) to M2 Media Group, 1127 High Ridge Road #335,Stamford, CT 06905.

M2 Media Group

I am extremely angry !!!!! I never ordered Wine Spectator Magazine !!!!! I tried to no avail to cancel this ! It is so frustrating as I never order magazines of any kind.
I am appalled that these companies just send out magazines when they were never ordered. Then you have to hoops to get the cancellation taken care of.
If I get any more I am just going to return to sender !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to be taken off any type of mailing list insane to even have to ask to be cancelled when I never ordered this in the first place !!!!!

People magazine [NOT ordered]

I did NOT order this magazine. I called PEOPLE's subscription center, I was told to go to CANCELMAG.com to cancel this subscription. THAT is a bogus and UNsecured site. I called People magazine again and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told there wasn’t one. I insisted there was and now I have been placed ON HOLD - which as I already know, is a ploy.

I was told by People magazine this subscription has been ‘canceled’. They are clearly aware of what is going on here.

I don’t have the time t send M2 Media letter, but wanted others to be aware of this. People magazine also asked me for my email address, which I refused to provide.

UPDATE: After waiting for 10 minutes as I was writing this complaint, someone, presumably a supervisor came on the phone. She canceled this subscription, but was UNABLE to tell me who put me on their subscription list. She DID day that MANY of their complaints are associated with people who have placed an order from Fragrance.net - which O just so happen to a few months ago.

Therefore -FRAGRANCE.NET may be behind this if you have placed an order through them. I told the person from People magazine that is FRAUD. I am bot being billed for the subscription, and again she asked for my email address, which I refused to provide. This is a phishing scam for sure in order to extract more personal information from you if you attempt to go to the CANCELMAG.COM web site - which is a TRAP

People magazine [NOT ordered]

This is a SCAM

Unsolicited magazine subscription

I have just received my second copy of Sports Illustrated in the mail. I did not order this magazine. I don't even like this magazine. I just called Sports Illustrated to cancel this and was told by Hanson that he could suspend my subscription but old not cancel it. In order to cancel it I had to contact M2 Media Group at 866-441-1281. When I called that number I heard a message that in order to cancel I was to send a note to htts://cancelmag.com. I tried that and it does not work. The message on M2 Media Group said I was not being billed for this subscription. If that is true, it is fine, but they could at least send me some magazine that I actually want to read!! Mry Shanley

M2 Media Group

My name is Carol Ferguson - 851 Wintercreeper Drive Longs Sc 29568

I have been receiving TIME Magazine for months - weekly magazines. At first I thought my husband ordered them for me. Until I finally asked him "why did you subscribe to TIME for me?" He said "he didn't." I never subscribed to M2 or TIME Magazine. It is not the type magazine that I read. Then I called Time and was told that the subscription was ordered through M2 Media Group. Tried calling - there is no customer service just a loop around. I basically do not want to receive this magazine never have. I am writing to them telling them to cancel immediately. They are just wasting paper. The internet said it was a scam and when I ordered something this was attached to it. This is wrong.

Unsolicited Magazine Subscriptions

Hello, I am starting to receive several magazines through the USPS Mail system. These subscriptions are all unsolicited. I never subscribe to any magazines and they are all tied to M2 Media Group. This company ( M2 Media Group ) has no customer service, only a recorded line which is 1-866-441-1281. I tried over and over again to try and speak to an actual person to cancel all of the subscriptions I'm receiving with no luck. I Googled this company on the internet and found multiple complaints. I have included a link below...

Please help,
Sincerely yours,

unwanted magazine subscriptions

I am requesting that the unwanted subscriptions to Cosmopolitan (disgusting) and People (trite) be cancelled immediately. I have tried calling only to be told they can only be suspended not cancelled. These so-called "gifts" are a nuisance and waste of resources.

Seventeen -Unwanted Magazine Subscription

I was "forced" to choose 6 magazines when I ordered another product. I was told that I couldn't cancel them but I could cancel as soon as I received the magazines. I tried to do that and so far I have spent at least 1 hour today trying to do that. I don't care to spend that kind of time and jump through as many hoops as I have to get magazines I didn't want in the first place. Please HELP me and other citizens who are forced into purchases in this manner.

Unwanted Magazine Subscription

I too have received magazines that I did not subscribe to, Parents, Sunset, and Smithsonian. I too was informed to call M2 Media Group. I went to there website and sent emails through their cancel subscription heading for each magazine. I didn't feel this was adequate, and I remembered that Parents magazine gave me a website www.cancelmag.com. As I proceeded to cancel each magazine they informed me, that Wayfair.com signed me up as a bonus to my purchase. I am going to contact Wayfair.com right away to let them know this is totally inappropriate business practice. If they want to offer it to me that is fine, but signing me up for these subscriptions is unacceptable. I need to find out if they do this with every order, because that means I probably have a few more coming. Just wanted to share who the culprit was in my case. Good Luck

Unwanted magazine subscriptions

Like others, I recently received two unsolicited magazines: All You and Health. I called the subscription line for All You and was told that they could only "suspend" the subscription, and in order to cancel it I needed to call M2 Media Group at (866) 441-1281. A recording at that number directed me to the web site https://cancelmag.com where I could fill out a form to request cancellation. I completed the form - the information I provided is all a matter of public record, (aside from the email address - I provided a fake one). Now we wait and see what happens. It should be noted that the recording also said that the subscription was free, never billed to me, and was a "gift" from one of their "partners." If I knew which "partner" gave up my address, I would A) never do business with them again; and B) report them to the BBB. As it is, I have written a formal letter of complaint (registered with return receipt) to M2 Media Group, 1127 High Ridge Road #335,Stamford, CT 06905 - with cc's to both my state Attorney General and her counterpart in Connecticut.
