Disrespect by manager

I have 10 children and 45 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. For the past 15+ years, I have given McDonald gift cards as Christmas gifts. $500 worth. I save all year for this and my grandchildren love it. This year when I took the $500 cash to the store, the manager wanted a copy of my drivers license and phone number. Then she questioned me as to what I was going to do with the cards. Her assistant, who helped activate the cards, also questioned me as to what I was going to do with the cards. Then they carried on a conversation in Spanish with me standing there. I was made to feel like I was doing something wrong or illegal. I will not go to that location anymore and next year, I may take my $500 to Sonic or Burger King. I had filed a complaint last week and have not heard anything back, I think that is pretty bad customer service to be treated like that.

bad service

I went to the McDonalds at west Reynolds street Pontiac , IL- I went through the drive through and order a MCChicken, a MCDouble a large fry and a large diet coke. After two attempts to give me the wrong order I was finally given my drink- it was down 2 inches from the top- I asked her to please fill it up- as I had paid for a large- she told me they were all filled automatically- there was nothing she could do about it. Then she asked me to pull up to reservation spot 2 as they were waiting on fries. I pulled up and waited and waited and waited - finally after 17 minutes I got my order. I know they just went through a huge re-model and had extra help for a grand opening- but it is disappointing to see the service go back to the slow inaccurate service we had before. I just thought someone from Corporate should know.

Dog inside McDonalds with lady feeding it ice cream

A woman on a scooter came into McDonald's with a little poodle sitting down were her legs go. The woman bought a ice cream cone with a cup and spoon. She went to a table lifted up the poodle out it in her arms. She started to eat the ice cream sharing it with the dog. She would take a bite then give the dog a bite. I went to the manger and told and told him about and he said there was nothing he could do. He said she had papers on the dog but couldn't ask for them because it is against the law. So I ask her and she didn't have them. I told her I didn't like eating in restaurant with someone feeding their dog. After I had a few words with her the manger said she could stay. I don't think this is right. I would like to know what you think about it.

Thank you,
Joanna Hutchinson

a disrespectful manager

GM I am person who never files a complaint. I would like to start by saying I patronize McDonald everyday weather it a coffee or ice cream. I feel as if she targets me every time I come into McDonald concerning Wi-Fi. Some days I may not purchase nothing. She says I have to leave I because I didn't purchase anything at that time. First all McDonalds is place where most of the homeless people go and now one throw them out. I need this to stop bc I patronize McDonald everyday and get a cup coffee.

several hamburgers. and fries

THE LAST TIME I WAS AT MCDONALD. THE BUNS ON MY QUARTER POUNDER WERE STALE, TASTED OLD. AND DRIED OUT . FRIES ARE GREASY IF THEY GET A LITTLE COLD. THAT'S WHY I EAT THEM FIRST, WHILE THEIR HOT. I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE LAST MCRIB PROMOTION, I USED TO BUY 3-4 MCRIBS A WEEK. LAST TIME IN ST LOUIS I ATE ONE AND NO MORE. DISAPPOINTED IN THE BIGMAC, HOWEVER, YOUR FISH IS GOOD, IF YOU EAT IT HOT. NO WONDER YOU SALES ARE DOWN

kids meals

We took our daughter to your McDonalds in Amherst Ohio to get her a kids meal. She really wanted the toy that was suppose to be in the meal. Which was advertised as a TY stuffed animal. Even though it showed that you had them on your board when I pulled up to the window I looked into the bag and was informed that you are out of them. So they gave me some firby toy. My daughter is very picky and she really likes your nuggets, that is the reason why we go there. But if this keeps happening you will be losing a customer.

Could not buy fries and drink with order

Today, my daughter Christina, age 10, and I went to McDonald's for lunch. We wanted to buy a Big Mac meal upsized and a QTR Pounder meal upsized and add for 1 cents each a second Big Mac and a second QTR Pounder. The manager took my order and said we could not order the 1 cent burgers to our meals, only if we bought just the sandwich! I said to the manager, but we will be paying more for our meal order and McDonald's will be making a larger profit from the two extra fries and one extra drink! The manager said that the owner of the store said customers cannot get the 1 cent extra burger special with the more expensive order! This sounded pretty stupid to me, so we ordered an Iced Tea, a Big Mac and Qtr Pounder plus 2 cents for the exrta Big Mac and extra QTR Pounder! So intstead of us wanting to pay about $15.00 that we budgeted for lunch, our bill was only $9.01, meaning McDonald's could have made and extra $4.99 profit but because of poor critical thinking skills, bad management, or poor training, or poor Spanish to English language skills multiply this costly mistake times hundreds, thousands or millions of customers being talk into spending less than they wanted to or budgeted for today! My 10 year old daughter Christina, a 4th grade A/B Honor roll student at Hollywood Hills Elementary School in Hollywood, Florida, discussed with me why the manager did not want to sell us what we wanted to order. Even Christina knew if that was my store, she would have been cheated out of thousands of dollars! I did call McDonald's corporate to thank McDonald's for keeping food affordable during the Obama years as money is tight for a lot of American families! I only hope McDonald's and corporate America will join General Paul Valley in helping to restore our government to a Constitutional Republic! McDonald's please help General Paul Valley save our country! Mark B. Meverden

CALLING IN SICK TO WORK

Good Morning,

I am a mother of a teenager who is currently working at one of your establishments. When she came to me and asked me if she could get a job, I was thrilled. Her work ethic is as strong as mine and I was sure she would do what she needed to do starting out in the work force.

One evening she became ill, I told her that I would take her to the doctor in the morning and she got upset because she had to work and was afraid to call in. I explained that I believed her to have strep throat and we needed to have it checked out before going into work. She then called the manager at that time to explain what was happening and that depending on her test results, it would determine if she could come in to work or not. They explained that they wrote it down for the morning manager and thanked her for the call.

Needless to say, she did have a very high temperature and she did have strep throat. She called the manager that morning to tell them she would not be in. The manager treated her like garbage and actually yelled at her for calling in. I took it upon myself to take a doctors note in and to tell the manager how awful she was to my daughter. Then she said that my daughter would not be on the schedule for a whole week as punishment for calling in.

Here in lies the question, how do we get these teenagers to want to work and have a good ethic if they are treated that way when they are very ill. No wonder teenagers have a hard time working, no one gives them any reason to.

As a parent, I am appalled that this kind of tactic is used when kids get sick. What, would you rather have a kid with a 104 temp and strep throat serving food. Just ridiculous.
