manager Craig Ruppert had a nasty attitude and it made my mother and my visit unpleasant.

My mother and I visited P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ this past Saturday we were looking for a washing machine in the dryer.A nice man helped us out he was very polite and nice.

We were about to buy the washing machine and dryer when my mom saw the price she made a comment how in best buy was cheaper and showed the man that's was helping us out named Nick S a paper showing how much it cost in best buy. Nick S went to show the manager Craig Ruppert the paper to see what he could do so we would not leave P.c Richards he did something and then he handed it over to Nick S who was helping us. Nick S did everything and called the manager Craig Ruppert for a password and then the manager Craig Ruppert checked everything marked had done and saw a few things that was wrong and he had a nasty attitude with Nick S and then when the manager Craig Ruppert fixed it he said that he was off by a dollar because he was comparing both prices and my mom didn't like it he had a nasty attitude and changed it with bad attitude the price so we would be at the same price. It was an unpleasant visit.

The man that helped us out was very nice.but the manager Craig Ruppert had a nasty attitude and it made my mother and my visit unpleasant.

These refrigerator weigh 700+ pounds!). When the very rude, crude

Bought large, expensive refrigerator, P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ sent a surveyor to measure building elevator, our apartment access, etc. On delivery day, one-half our before delivery arrival, we were told the old refrigerator had to be uninstalled before the new one could be installed, and that was our job, which our building staff managed. Total scam

Its a TOTAL SCAM…Everything, before during and after the sale (as they say.)First and foremost, they opened multiple credit cards in my name without my knowledge, saying that I was simply being sent a "new card" and blatantly lied to my face as the salesman reassured me that my credit was not being run, which should be illegal if it isn't already. And, from other complaints I've read this has apparently been going on for some time as well as there have been charges of the misuse and theft of personal information. Additionally they attempted to insidiously and grotesquely over charge me.Taking advantage of a customers kind nature and reluctance to be forced into haggling and arguing, I was told I was getting a discount and free warranty when in fact I came to discover that I had paid far more for the item than I would have paid at any of there competitors. So much for their price guarantee. All they do is jack up prices and make you feel as if your getting a discount, and despite their supposed "love" for the local community, have been ripping people off for years...lies and trickery. When I attempted to cancell my order at the Bayside location, I was left waiting, staring at the clock and missing a previous engagement I had while the utterly incompetent employees passed the buck up the chain of command. When I was finally addressed, I was met with the store's general managers rolling eyes and spoken down to disrespectfully. (So bad in fact that the only halfway decent human being for an employee in the building had took it upon himself to apologize for the actions of his peers and managers) Also, the sales people on the floor gathered to watch as if my wife and I were some sort of spectacle. The entire staff was completely rude and unprofessional, from the girl chattering on her cell phone playing with her nails ignoring customers to the sales staff and ESPECIALLY management. From what I understand this is a very old company and was founded in good faith and pride in the care for the customer. Whoever runs the company now however should be ashamed to have disgraced the good faith of their founder for he surely is rolling over in his grave. I will never step foot into that pit of thieving, coniving, shiftless snake oil salesmen ever again. Management acts as if they are too good to deal with you and arrogantly strut about the store as if they believe they are wall street big shots. As we were trying to work out my issue, the sales people on the floor surrounded us with arms crossed and whispering amongst each other leaving us to feel even more pressured. My wife said it was one of the most uncomfortable situations she had ever been in. Not to mention the creepy ogling and staring. They clearly must make many women feel uncomfortable and no man should let his wife go there alone. The salesmen, smelling of cigarette smoke, had a predatory look in there eyes and dealing with them makes you feel as if your at a back room poker game. Upper management in this corporation should be thoroughly embarrassed and I pray that not all the locations bare any resemblance to this one. The total lack of character and respect in management has surely rubbed off on the lower level employees as this has been the single worst experience I have ever had as a consumer. Before any others are treated in this fashion, corporate management should absolutely reanalyze practices at this location and get rid of the people running that store. Totally unbelievable,

A VERY unsatisfied customer.

The assistant manager James came up instead. I started by asking if he knew what had happened .

I had to have a washer. Hubby promoted, uniform clothes he has to wear now are coming out of 4 years of storage and must be clean and ready to be worn tomorrow. Too bad...so what...they don't care. I'm being unreasonable because I won't wait over a week for a new part on the machine.

I take it back and the store manager James tells me he will refund my money but that I wouldn't find a "budget priced" machine similar to the one I had bought to exchange the machine. I smiled and said I would get whatever I could and the repairman had recommended Whirlpool. I went and looked, found a different machine for 849.00. I asked my new salesman what he thought they might do..give me ten percent off, give me a free bottle of the detergent they sell for HE machines? He seemed confident that they would do something. He called for the the Store Manager who had suddenly left. The assistant manager James came up instead. I started by asking if he knew what had happened and he replied that he had heard bits and pieces all during the day and that the manager had advised of the return. I asked very politely: What can you do on one of these washers?

Nick S was told when I purchased the warranty that if the machine breaks and they can't fix it, they have to replace it;

I purchased a floor model Maytag Washing Machine in February. They picked up my old machine and delivered the "new" machine; it was making grinding noise from day one. I called and was told that they would have a serviceman there in two weeks, that they were very backed up. I didn't get the serviceman and the store never contacted me regarding the issue. The machine continued making the noise but it was working.

I called again regarding the issue; the serviceman came to fix it and now I can't use the machine at all. First of all, when he came to the house and looked at the machine, he said there was a part missing; it was never installed. There is a manufacturer defect. So he ordered the part and when he came to fix the machine, after two hours he was unsuccessful. He said the machine is now unusable. The serviceman asked that I do not use the machine until I get the new one because it might leak. I also purchased the extended warranty with this machine. Nick S was told when I purchased the warranty that if the machine breaks and they can't fix it, they have to replace it; if they don't have the model, they have to give you the value of the machine.

With such lousy service before the sale I can only imagine how bad the service is after they have your money.

I spent 10 minutes looking at refrigerators and no one offered to hep me so I went to the front desk and they paged a salesperson. 10 minutes later I walked out of the store without ever being helped. With such lousy service before the sale I can only imagine how bad the service is after they have your money.
I rate them no stars but the system does not consider 0 a rating

I called George today to explain this issue - I hoped that he or George would go to bat for me,

PLEASE, for the love of God, heed the reviews of your fellow helpers! This place is to be straight up avoided. Don't even think about walking in unless you want unending heartache.

My ($850) Kitchen Aid dishwasher stopped working about 3 months after it was installed. Because I have a company warranty for one year, they sent out a service guy who fixed it. Now, listen up: ten days ago the dishwasher broke again, just like last time. Unlike last time, we were about to move. We had planned to have the dishwasher moved with us.

Here's where p c riuchard & son comes in. I called customer service and my original salesperson, George.and he said that he would contact Kitchen Aid to set up an appointment. I haven't heard a peep from the service company since. He apparently hasn't even called Kitchen Aid - as she said he would do 5 DAYS AGO. I called the company today myself, and they sent out a service guy who said that they can fix it, but it will break again, although Whirlpool (father company to Kitchen Aid) knows this model is a total lemon, they won't recall it.

I called George today to explain this issue - I hoped that he or George would go to bat for me, but I got an automatic 'George will be out of the store until Wednesday'.

Can you understand how crazy this is? Or is this kind of thing standard now for mid to large size companies?

Salesman Nick S told us if we "threw the plumber a few bucks" he would install the dishasher,.

I Bought a 4 appliance GE stainless steel package.Took about a month to get a delivery as the refridgerator was back-ordered.Agreed to pay their plumber $200 to connect the gas range (took all of 5 minutes).Salesman Nick S told us if we "threw the plumber a few bucks" he would install the dishasher, .Unfortunately the dishawasher came separately;.We were never told the micowave oven also needed a separate installation charge/.The fridge freezer door opens when you close the fridge door, so they have to come back to balance the fridge, .So when you buy any appliance from this store be sure to get everything in writing and make sure the installation charges are talked about and itemized'.When you call the store (Paramus NJ) they put you on hold for 20 minutes or longer and don't return calls|.All in all a bad experience'.Go somewhere else for your appliances..I can't believe with service like this they've been in business for 102 years

We did talk to the store manager and he offered us another sales person instead of taking our complaint seriously.

Anthony Bondi at PC Richards & Sons by Rt 440 in Jersey City harrassed us and made rude and derogatory remarks. We did talk to the store manager and he offered us another sales person instead of taking our complaint seriously. Such pathetic and irresponsible people there. Not sure how many people have been harrassed there...and how many more will be. With the mentality that they have from the sales people to the managers Anthony Bondi, I am sure many more consumers will come out with a very bad experience and vow never to go there again. I wonder if there are enough such hassasments that can be mentally disturbing, if we can file a class action lawsuit against the company.

I was flabbergasted by the manager's ineptitude and lack of common sense. I told him that I would be taking my business elsewhere, which I did.

We recently negotiated to purchase three appliances from this paramus store for a kitchen remodel. We explained that we would make the purchase, but would not need the items delivered for 4 to 6 weeks. The salesman Joe Botros Jr. 8246 and manager James both agreed that that would be fine.

He asked if I had another form of payment and suggested that I apply for a store card. Again I declined, and explained that I had no intention of impacting my credit score by applying for a store card when I had a perfectly good cashier's check to make the payment. He said it would only impact my credit score just a little bit. Of course, by now I was flabbergasted by the manager's ineptitude and lack of common sense. I told him that I would be taking my business elsewhere, which I did.

Prior to my departure, he informed me that no other retail establishment would take a cashier's check, and he knew this because he had been doing this kind of work for over 20 years.

In sum, I found this to be an unpleasant, frustrating and time consuming experience. On the up side, their prices are very competitive, and if you have done your product research prior to visiting the store, the salespeoples' knowledge is adequately poor. On the down side, communication, customer service and management skills especially are in need of some serious revamping.

Don't buy anything at this store. They are liars and thieves. P C Richard & Son allows these crooks to continue because it brings cash to their coffers. Make a statement with your wallet, complaints to the Better Business Bureau. and Attorney General's office.

Absolutely HORRIBLE - Stay Away From PC Richard & Son.

Absolutely HORRIBLE - Stay Away From PC Richard & Son
PC Richard & Son has to be the worst. Thier customer service is rude and it seems like they go out of thier way to be rude and un-helpful. I cant believe they are still in business. After my bad experience with them, I started reading reviews and found out everyone says the same thing. Just search the web for reviews of PC Richard & Son and you will see that my experience was not unique. They are simply rude and disshonest people. After I had to cancel a part order, they would not help and just kept saying NO returns, NO returns... I was willing to pay restocking fee, and any costs they incurred, but they just got more combative. I asked for the manager James, and was shocked to learn that the person I was talking to was the manager.STAY AWAY. Any business run by a person like that should be avoided!

I guess PC Richard & Son does not care about customer service otherwise action would have been taken at the Paramus store. If you have a complaint, file with the local Better Business Bureau and/or the state's Attorney General.
